Fizil
You would just be mashed into a puddle of goo. At the risk of answering a joke post seriously....... Velocity doesn't "mash" things, acceleration does. That is why when you accelerate in your car you are pushed into your seat, but once you are at a constant speed you are not. More importantly "lightspeed" in SW is sci-fi magic, it doesn't follow the normal laws of physics so who the hell cares.
Sai-to
They don't travel at Lightspeed. They travel at Hyperspeed in Hyperspace. You're familiar with the concept of a Wormhole, yes? Well, Hyperspace is very similar to the way a wormhole works. In Star Trek, they call it Sub-space, I believe. Murasakikitsune
They don't travel at Lightspeed. They travel at Hyperspeed in Hyperspace. You're familiar with the concept of a Wormhole, yes? Well, Hyperspace is very similar to the way a wormhole works. In Star Trek, they call it Sub-space, I believe. This pretty much. A wormhole essentially makes two points in space behave as though they were the same point. A wormhole from next to your computer chair to the top of Mount Everest would result in a great suction of air from your room onto Mount Everest. Of course since space has no pressure, there's not much of that to worry about. Now in theory, one should be able to pass through a wormhole very easily and arrive instantly on the other side. It seems Hyperspace is a tad crude by comparison.
Eternalnight
Well they are not traveling at lightspeed. With lightspeed it would take 100000 years to get from one side of the galaxy to the other. They obviously don't take that long.
DarthMoord
You would just be mashed into a puddle of goo. Inertial dampeners. Star Wars has physics breaking technology, this is not new.

ReiperX
You would just be mashed into a puddle of goo. Could be done various ways. Inertia dampeners But I believe Hyperspace is basically a wormhole. You aren't traveling in the same dimension.
DarthMoord
Could be done various ways. Inertia dampeners But I believe Hyperspace is basically a wormhole. You aren't traveling in the same dimension. Hyperspace is basically nothing like a wormhole. Wormholes circumvent the problem of temporal dilation, whereas we know that Star Wars spacecraft have to shield against temporal dilation.

Kryttos
they also have inertial compensators in spaceships in the SWU
DarylMusashi
You would just be mashed into a puddle of goo. With an Alcubierre warp bubble drive. Spacetime is warped around a ship such that a bubble forms. A localized big crunch is formed in front (the direction you want to travel), and a localized big bang is formed 180 degrees on the other side of the warp bubble. The ship inside, according to relativity, is standing still. No time dilation or inertial problems to deal with as the warp bubble of spacetime takes all if that abuse. Speeds much greater than the speed of light could be achieved. Even more bizarre is that the the warp bubble could be shrunk so that to people on the outside its no bigger than a proton, but those on the inside have not actually shrunk in any way. This gives the bubble quantum properties and now strange things can theoretically happen. The warp bubble is now in the domain where the effects of the uncertainty principle are much greater than at the macroscopic level where they are negligible.
