  1. pay the real money to buy at least 1 month of real subscription.
  2. if you have never done it in any mode, it probably is a bad idea to start from Nightmare mode. And you might have very difficult time finding a group that would even allow you to join straight to nightmare mode. Even if you skip storymode, you should at the very least do hardmode first to get at least somewhat familiar with the operation before trying nightmare mode.
  3. Ok few more clarifications needed This is just poorly worded but there is some truth to it. Before you start the fight, you should remove any and all HOTs that other people have placed on you, because other people are not allowed to heal you until after they have killed their opponent just as you are not allowed to heal other people. Notice that things like Kolto Shell can stay on a target for up to 3 minutes so it is important to remove those before the fight if someone else has placed one of those on you. This however does not apply to your own hots. You can have as many of your own heals and hots on yourself as you want as long as they only heal yourself only. This is wrong. Whoever said that was very stupid. Correct Extremely bad advice. Well if you have high enough dps to kill it so fast that you do not need any heals, then go right ahead do that, but as a healer you almost certainly do not. Technically wrong. You can AoE if, and only if, you can position it in such a way that the AoE will still only hit 1 target only. Though this is more of a something you do with other classes. That's also extremely bad advice. If it was not enough to kill it, then why didn't you just use other damage dealing abilities until you have done enough damage to kill it (while same time healing yourself between attacks when and if needed)? That's all it takes
  4. No and No. Their target does not become your target. If you heal someone else or damage someone else's target what happens is that you get a debuff that prevents you from doing any more damage or healing. Their target is still their target and they can kill theirs just fine. You still have just your own 1 target but you can't kill it anymore because you have a debuff that makes all your abilities do 0 damage and 0 healing, (and other people can only damage your target with 1 hit after they have finished their own, so unless it was already at a very low health, you will most likely fail and the whole group need to start over) I still say, "no AoE" is not a Standard Operating Procedure. Some specs of some classes actually suffer a significant dps loss if they do not use AoE even on a single target fight. If playing one of those, especially if its a character that is not very well geared, it is actually better and easier to use AoE as much as you would on any other fight. The only trick to it is to just keep enough distance to the others that your AoE will only hit one target only. Though I do not see any reason for any Mercenary to use any AoE in there.
  5. The council is one place where you get really bad advice from really stupid people. Instead of blindly following someone's dumb advice you should just kill it as many damage dealing abilities as it takes to kill it while keeping yourself alive with as many heals as it takes. It really does not matter which abilities you use. As a mercenary, you're not allowed to use Progressive Scan, because it jumps to other people even over long distance, but other than that, really just use anything you want. Any dps or healing ability. Anything goes. There's really just 2 rules to follow: 1. You're not allowed to heal other people. You can heal yourself as much as you want or need to. 2. You're not allowed to damage other people's opponents. Any damage dealing attack must only hit your own target. Now most people say "don't use aoe", but this is also bad and wrong advice. You actually can use AoE, but you need to position yourself and your opponent in such a way that any AoE will only hit that one target and nobody else. In fact with many classes (though not Mercenary) you actually should use AoE because for some specs AoE attacks are an integral part of even your single target dps rotation. You just have to position it right and make sure others are far enough away to not get hit. To put it even more simply: The fights need to be 1 vs 1. You're not allowed to help other people in any way, with dps or heal, until after you have killed your own opponent.
  6. Well instead of going to find one (they are everywhere) you should really just use "buyback"
  7. Buying a "CD Key" is useless since you can't buy the game itself anymore. Those are remnants from a time many years ago from when you had to first buy and pay for the game itself and then separately buy and pay for the monthly subscription. Now the game itself is for free and only thing that cost money is the monthly subscription fees. You can buy prepaid game time cards from third party sellers, but don't try to buy a "CD Key".
  8. Conversation scenes that cause the game to bug out can sometimes be bypassed by turning down the graphics settings to minimum. Not the screen resolution but everything else. Basically all settings under: Preferences > Graphics > Advanced to be either turned off or lowest possible settings. Can change them back later once you are past the conversation scenes that get bugged out. Still you may need to either do forced repair or complete re-install
  9. One may try forced re-patching by deletoida bitraider folder, though only a small chance it helps. Mostly likely only solution is to delete the whole game and do a complete download and re-install
  10. There's no indication that there will ever be a new operation anywhere at all.
  11. And by the way. No! A sniper does not use a blaster rifle. A sniper uses a sniper rifle, which is a different thing from normal blaster rifle. If you use a blaster rifle instead of sniper rifle on a sniper, you're doing it wrong.
  12. You do understand that every class in the Republic side has an equivalent class in Imperial side with basically the same abilities with just different names and different animations but exactly same effects?
  13. The connection is exactly same as in all other class forum sections that also all have 2 classes in them.
  14. And to op You can look for optimal stats here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=847112 685 accuracy is pretty spot on, but other stats leave a lot to be desired. If you do mainly Fury the optimal stats on 216 gear would be like 4990 Mastery (with stims) 2648 Power 1206 Critical 815 Alacrity And so on You're clearly missing augments, so that's 14 pieces of gear to put augment slot for 73 extra stat of choice each. You will in this situation want to use augments to increase your Critical Rating and Alacrity Rating. And so on And Fury is spec with lowest sustained dps. Consider the others
  15. Well you are spouting nonsense. 1. You're basically suggesting that he should not have alacrity. Which is wrong! If anything he should have a lot more alacrity. Something over 800 or so. 2. You're basically saying that alacrity only affects attacks with cast time. Which is wrong. Alacrity currently speeds up literally everything and all dps specs benefit from having a lot of it. He came here for advice how to improve and you're basically spouting misinformation to make his dps even worse.
  16. More likely you may have corrupted game files. May need to uninstall everything and then download and install the whole game again.
  17. This whole thread is all about an antisocial player throwing a temper tantrum about the fact that an MMORPG game contains content that is intended to be done by more than 1 players instead of just 1 player alone. As if he didn't know that this is a MMORPG before he even started playing for the first time. As if he didn't know that the MMO in MMORPG means massive multiplayer online. Yeah, right.

Basically all settings under: Preferences > Graphics > Advanced to be either turned off or lowest possible settings. Can change them back later once you are past the conversation scenes that get bugged out. Anyway... Though chances are you also have corrupted game data files. If installer's repair function does not solve it, then next step is to completely uninstall and then download and install the whole game again.
  20. because he is too dumb to learn to read well enough that he would notice which forum section he is posting in?
  21. Forged alliance flashpoints (and there's 4 of them, not 2) actually are not needed to progress through Shadow of Revan story arc. You will miss the part of the story that takes place in the "prelude" so you will not see the whole story if you skip them but nothing prevents you from progressing through the rest of the story even if you skip them and nothing about it changes if you do. On Temple of Sacrifice you actually have a choice to skip it too and get to the final part of the story via an alternate quest. Doing that does not change anything and you don't even miss any dialogue. The ending will be same either way.
  22. It is pretty common for any mmo games that each time there is a major game expansion that rises the level cap, the leveling up experience is made that much faster. If this was not done, the leveling up from level 1 to max level would end up taking longer and longer each time level cap gets higher to the point where it takes just too long time to level up. This game has gone through major expansions that increase level cap 3 times now, so the leveling up is bound to be quite a bit faster than it originally was when the game was first launched. Still with the game update 4.0, I would say they kind of over did it. Even though some increase in relative xp gains for low level content is to be expected, they actually increased it a lot more than what is normally done during launching a game expansion that rises the level cap.
  23. When you create a new level 60 character, most of the abilities you normally would have trained in levels 1-60 are hidden. They are still there, but just not visible. You start KotFE chapter 1 with only few abilities and to give the player a little bit time to familiarize themselves with all of them and as you progress slowly through KotFE chapter 1 the others start slowly appearing one by one into your quick bars. This normally happens just to characters created at 60, but in some circumstances you can go through with this even with old characters that were leveled up normally from level 1.
