I'm sort of new to MMO's(I didnt have a good enough computer for any game after the DII era...I know that isn't an MMO but that is how long I've been out of Computer gaming).......But this is mine so far: I have a naga and use wasd and qe for strafing. Switched the Naga to the number pad.

*=Thinking about moving to a better spot

1-Saber Strike

2-Shadow Strike

3- Interrupt*

4- Double Strike

5- Force Breach

6- Project

7- Force Wave

8- Cant remember, think I have something there

9- Force Stun

0- I think this is where I have the taunt skill*

- -N/A

+ - N/A

Alt + 1- Kinetic ward

Alt + 2- The shield(can't remember name)

Alt + 4- Force Speed

Alt + 6- Force Potency

Mouse wheel up- Stealth

Mouse button 4- Force of Will*

Mouse button 3- pass huttball

Other numbers(above keyboard)

1-Force Lift*

2- Force Slow*

3- Mind control*

4- N/A

5-N/A

R- I know I have something there but I can't remember what.

F- Force cloak*

f1-Self heal(meditation I think?)

f2- Medpack

f3-WZ medpack

f4-WZ adrenal

f5- Speeder

I also have the ` above tab for targeting teammates and T set for autorun.

I'm thinking about possibly moving my movement over to esdf with wr and strafe, moving some skills to Q T A G Z X C V. I'm only a low level and I have most of the buttons I am comfortable using taken. I like putting the attacks where I move a lot during on my mouse then the other ones by the movement keys to cut down on mistakes, but I'll figure it out eventually.

Side note.

An option to import keybinds to an alt would be great.

I would friggin love that feature. Not just key ones but all options would be nice...

At this point I've got it memorized so it takes just a minute or two when making a lowbie but it would be nice.

Rift has it, not sure about others, but I imagine it's fairly common.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody NOT bind a key to move forward, but instead just hold down both mouse buttons to move forward? New MMO player so im trying to learn the ropes and the most efficient setup that allows for maximum comfort and efficiency.

Cheers

Not personally, I tendbto use both, because sometimes I slip when strafe kiting and let go of a mouse button. If you're going to remap a movement buttom remove keyboard turn and bind those.as strafes, and possibly get rid of your back pedal, unless you often need to move back only a little (I don't)

Ok cool.

I did unbind "turn, let and right as well as backpedal." Right now, I have W and R for strafe and E for forward. Trying to bind stuff around for maximum amount of binds.

Thanks for the feedback.

If you are feeling short on keybindings with a Deathadder, Naga+Lycosa=More.keybindings then you can shake a stick at. With the extra modifiers below the space bar bound to stuff like ctrl, alt, and then its own custom modifiers you have something like 60 keybindings before you even have to map something off your mouse and a keyboard modifier.

I've played MMOs with this combo for years so I'm super used to it. Plus I have pretty big hands too so it's not hard for me to reach over and hit the 7-8-9-0 buttons if needed.

I like numbers and modifiers, but I'm very careful with how things are distanced. Not as correctly organized as I would like. Tried to rebind a month ago and felt totally crippled, so I just set it back.

Everything I need to do for my main priority queue is in the first five numbers with either Shift or Alt modifiers. It's important not to hit taunts accidentally, so they have a special modifier that requires shifting my hand. Secondary priorities (like relics, which I hit once every 45 seconds) move all the way to the right-hand side, since I will take my hand off the mouse for those. Abilities that I essentially *never* hit move to the middle of the numbers, since that's the hardest to reach. Special abilities get non-standard placement. Interrupts are important, so they get the easiest-to-hit key if you're numbers-based (`). Dynamic guard is vital for tanking flashpoints and PvP, so it gets an easy-to-hit special key. Stealth (both forms) are super-useful, but it's important not to hit them accidentally, especially as a tank. Dynamic vehicle use is important for open-world PvP.

The only time I click is for the class buff or my self-heal. In fact, I've tanked several bosses through UI glitches that hide the interface. Breathe the GCD, internalize your cooldowns and know the visual cues for procs.

Note that I normally do PvE, so things like Spinning Kick, Force Stun and movement slow are less important for me. Organized by bar:

Movement

=======

W/S: Forward/Backward

A/D: Strafe Left/Right

Mouse 3: Auto Run (astonishingly helpful in combat, once you get used to it)

Mouse 4/5: Forward/Backward

Right bar

======

V: Vehicle

X: Stealth

Shift-X: Combat Stealth

`: Interrupt

T: Break

Top Center

=========

1: Saber Strike

2: Double Strike

3: Whirling Blow

4: Spinning Strike

5: Slow Time

6: Spinning Kick

7: Tumult

8: Force <something> (knockback)

9: Relic 1

0: Relic 2

=: Medpac

Bottom Center

==========

Alt-1: Project

Alt-2: Telekinetic Throw

Alt-3: Force Stun (wish I could move this one)

Alt-4: Force Breach

Alt-5: <mirror> Force Crush (can't remember the Jedi name for this one)

Alt-6: Slow <something> (movement slow)

Alt-8: Force Pull

Alt-9: Adrenal

Alt--: Unity (useful when soloing heroics)

G: Guard

Left Bar

======

Shift-`: Deflection

Shift-1: Resilience

Shift-2: Force Speed

Shift-3: Kinetic Ward

Shift-4: Force Potency

Shift-5: Battle Readiness
