Whats up with the "spell". This isn't WoW this is SWTOR.
BobbFettle replied to Cordarn's topic in Combat Styles
I'll bear that in mind next time my brother casts his mortar volley spell using his assault rifle wand I'm fine with the Jedi's and Sith using spells btw. (I'm even fine with Bounty Hunters having spells especially since there's a long tradition in RPGs of 'magic missile' being one of the first spells a mage gets. I've seen many a newby mage fleeing around in a warzone spamming magic missiles ) -
LOL. Qyzen not like get trophies. Qyzen like make trophies.

What's decent damage in WZs with a high 40s Kinetic Shadow?
BobbFettle replied to BobbFettle's topic in Shadow / Assassin
Oh, this is interesting. I've somehow missed the whole shield/focus angle. Aren't there some benefits such as force regen if using a shield in Combat Tech? I'll give it a try this evening! -

BobbFettle replied to BobbFettle's topic in Shadow / Assassin
Yea, guarding a turret in Alderaan can be frustrating if you only have 1 or 2 low level Imps every now and then and all your team mates just want to play center. I always feel too responsible to just leave it unguarded and run off. I do use AoE's as much as I can and I'm often in the thick of things. I suspect I may have to practice not making myself the center of all the attention and switching guard off if it gets too hot so that I do not die too often myself. Thanks I presume 300K is for a lv50 with decent gear, not a guy that just turned lv 50 and is still running lv 49 gear? -
Hi Everyone, Switched to AstralFire standard 31/0/10 PvE spec a while back and having a lot of fun. I'm wondering if I'm getting enough damage in WZs though. I'm lv 47. I normally do OK with protection and usually get between 5 and 9 medals. Damage is in the 60 to 95K range. How does this stack up? Is this sort of standard or how far am I off the mark?

Me 2. I've been saving gear for Nadia since lv 20. Kitted her with full orange gear, fully modded (I'm a Cybertech) earpieces etc. It's not difficult since she uses almost the same stuff as me. I play a standard PvE Kinetic build and we trashed Stark with me at about 60% health. PS: I was a little over level as well. (Been reading all the complaints and was worried about the encounter. Turns out it was easier than I anticipated.)

My Hybrid 23/18/0 Spec (Critique please- LONG)

I also like the infiltrator tree better than balance. I'd like to follow and see how it progresses. -
NICE summary! I've been looking for something like this.

Thanks, nice Youtube video and very effective with the graphical key map. Your keybinds closely follows my philosophy although the implementation is slightly different. One question: Have you ever looked at using ESDF for movement? I find having 3 keys under your pinky finger is invaluable but it's not so far away (such as RDFG or TFGH) that you lose use of shift, ctrl and alt. I like how you only have critical long CD abilities on the central bars. (Mine has been mirroring my key layout too closely.)

Telekenetic Throw Animation: Change it to this!
BobbFettle replied to Nidous's topic in Combat Styles
I'm happy with TK throw as is (and it does make sense to me) but would LOVE a Ki-Blast instead of the existing Project. It should be relatively easy to do programming wise, would fit the created lore and would be awesome to use! -
Build Idea and Theorycrafting: Fringe Shadow

This looks interesting. I'm too new to contribute constructively but I'd love to follow and see how it works. -
+1. Nice post

And on this topic, where does people get their (magic) potions from in a ScifFi universe? (Granted, one could argue that Starwars is probably closer to Fantasy than SciFi *duck* but let's at least try and stay in character.) -
Force Wave Punished in PvP, for looking cool.
