Thieve
I currently have the ATI Radeon HD 4200 on my pc. I was thinking about replacing it before early access but decided to wait to see if it could possibly run the game at mid seetings, but it can barley run low. Anyone know of a good graphics card that is under $120. I really dont know much about graphics cards but i want one that can run this game smoothly. My other specs are: AMD Athlon ll 640 Quad Core Processor 6GB RAM 1 terabyte hard drive Edited December 15, 2011 by Thieve

Cyphione
i had an ati hd 4890, i replaced it since then but it was a solid card. newegg has is for $109.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814103194&Tpk=hd4890 Never read if it was set up for dual video cards, but if it is that's a thought. I mean i swapped em for two GTX570 but it'll run $339.99 each http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130593 If your having issues RAM is usually the cheapest upgrade for the biggest boom. Dunno if your sporting DDR2 or 3 but it helps. Edited December 15, 2011 by Cyphione
Vapourise
GTS* 450. That is the best possible card for SWTOR in that price range, don't even try argue with me. Edited December 15, 2011 by Vapourise
Fifelaw
Try this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102941 89 with the rebate and free shipping. Radeons use less power than nVidia cards so you can probably keep your PSU. Edited December 15, 2011 by Fifelaw
Rhysling
Newegg.com and check out Tomshardware for reviews. Also what power supply are you using. You may need to upgrade your PSU along with a new card.

Also looked at the GTS 450 is there any big difference between the two?
ChairmanMeoow
Well, I recently had a card that was similar to yours, the Geforce 8800GTX. I upgraded to the gtx460 and ran "can my pc run it" on google for SWTOR. According to the CPU scanner, I can run SWTOR on max settings and still get like 70fps. The GTX460 is like $150 to $160 and is a big upgrade. The card is also 1024mb which is a good step above the recent 768mb 8800GTX. So for the best upgrade your money can buy that will run more demanding games than SWTOR, I would recommend either the GTX460 or if you have a little bit more cash to blow, the GTX 560ti which is another beast itself for the price range of under $300. Thieve
I decided to go with the Sapphire Radeon HD 6770. Hopefully it can run the game smoothly on mid-high settings. Now to youtube to see how to replace a graphics card. Edited December 15, 2011 by Thieve
Lamuse
I decided to go with the Sapphire Radeon HD 6770. Hopefully it can run the game smoothly on mid-high settings. I'm running the older version of this card (the XFX 5770) the 6770 is a rebadged 5770 and can run everything on high with my current setup of Core i5 2500k 16gb of ram Just remember to go to AMD's website and download the 11.12 drivers before you launch the game. Check its capacity, then you can know what you'll have to do. A good upgrade for you would still be a 6770 or so, but here's the thing, you'd want to get a PSU too if yours isn't up to performing.
