Reoh
A thread not complaining about waves?! Seriously though... Wasn't there a settings file in your windows profile / game files that you could edit to force AA back in beta? i'd presume it still works now. [edit] NM apparently its been covered. Toneth
1) With notepad.exe, find the file client_seetings.ini in this filepath: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SWTOR\ 2) Add this line at the end of the section titled [Renderer] : AntiAliasingLevel=4 For those who don't know... you may need to show your hidden files in order to locate the client_settings.ini file. And for those with an ATI card, just go into your Catalyst Control Center and force AA in the 3D application settings. Just un-tick "use application settings" and move the slider up to x4 or x8 AA Edited December 13, 2011 by Toneth

Just un-tick "use application settings" and move the slider up to x4 or x8 AA This works. At 1900x1200 setting AA to x4 is enough.
TheHauntingBard
Some folks are still claiming the textures don't exist at all. Others claim they're automatically enabled, and used everywhere. I'm just clarifying things for those individuals. Yeah figured, still hope they patch AA soon and well update the textures on the armor.
mountains
How was I misleading? We could start with "it does have anti-aliasing but it isn't currently enabled" and go from there, if you'd like.
Daeborn
In all fairness the developers said that it might make it into the game at launch. And again you didn't do enough reading if you thought it was going to make launch. It was up in the air. Don't worry, the game looks great even without running it. P.S. It isn't launch yet... Kraylessa
And I'm glad that SWTOR does! Only if you hack the ini file, and I'm not convinced of that. When I tried to do as described in this post, my launcher crashed. I had to take the line I added back out of the ini and then the launcher/game worked fine again. Gaff
So, AA didn't make it into launch. I have to say, that's incredibly disappointing. It also looks like the "high definition textures" people talked about in Beta didn't make it in either. It seems pretty ridiculous that a 2011 (almost 2012) game doesn't have anti-aliasing! Agreed. In the words of Leia, I have a baaaaad feeling about this...

mountains
Only if you hack the ini file, and I'm not convinced of that. One of the fortunate details of reality is that it doesn't have much to do with what you're convinced of.
Gibbzter
What gets me, is that no dev or mod will come here and clear it up. Great support. They would rather this go on for pages and pages instead of simply answering the question.

They would rather this go on for pages and pages instead of simply answering the question. What question? There's no real question in this thread except maybe "Is modifying the ini file a bannable offense?" As it is, my original post included statements of fact, not questions. AA is not available as a graphics option in preferences and the mysterious "high res" textures that people hinted at in the beta are not enabled. TehBoomstick
It is much more complicated right now than forcing through drivers. It requires 3rd party programs... check out support section for threads on this. This is a lie. I forced AA and AF all through beta through my video card drivers. 8x AA and 16x AF. NotImportant
Good news everyone, We have a time traveler! You can tell because launch hasn't happened yet... Bioware apparently has a whole team of time travelers. They went back to 2002 to get the DirectX 9 SDK and released a game built on it in 2011! Terrace
Well I hope they add it soon if it really isn't available. AA makes a huge difference.

Then in your video controller enable AF and BAM, best graphics.
