Why is NOT leveling as a healer anyones fault ? why should we ALL have to go healer if we want to play this game. That kind of defeats the whole point of having the OPTION of three skill trees. Why have three skill trees if only one is of any use. This tread is about how the operative has been nerfed and how it effects certain players whether in PvP or PvE. As soon as anyone has an opinion on the matter, people jump in shouting it's our fault for not doing this or for not doing that when it's NOT our fault. If we choose to to play the IA but not go with the healer skills because there are others to choose from then thats what we should be able to do. That's what we were doing but now the gameplay has been restricted because there was some issues with the IA and PvP which has effected the PvE side of the game. Yes we could respec, but why should we have to just so we can continue the story of the IA. I don't even play PvP and don't want to, I want to play PvE and be able to use various companions to do so because I have been given those options but now those options are pointless due to the nerfing of the IA in my opinion.

Focus on this bit... only Dr Lokin will survive as long as you don't die or turn agro onto him Good old Dr Lokin the HEALER . And not all operatives went up the healing tree and can heal Kalio to that extent, so the ONLY way to now kill the gold elite boss for some operatives is to only use Dr Lokin the healer while doing the dirty work yourself. Use any other companion and because you have been super nerfed, you are useless.

OK, so you needed to nurf the operative for PvP, fair enough, but in doing so it has totally messed up the PvE gameplay.

No, but it's gimped for lvl 41 which is the level I'm talking about and tested it at. From what I have found out so far the IA nerf has reduced some skills by 20-40% You seem to think that you are the only IA that knows how to play the class and everyone else is a noob who knows nothing. You hit level 50 before the nerf so what do you know about how the IA is effected now ? Try playing an operative now and keep him at the same level or one level below the mobs and see how you get on. You will find that against a single gold elite boss, Kalio will die, Vector will die, Ensign Temple will die, the droid is just a waste of space and only Dr Lokin will survive as long as you don't die or turn agro onto him. You have jumped in on this tread just to boast you have a level 50 imperial agent but know nothing of what so many people are talking about. Well done for getting to level 50, clever boy ! would that be your level 50 operative you got to level 50 before they nerfed him ? WoW, never played it.

Well I just tested my companions and myself on a level 42 gold elite boss ( I'm lvl 41 ) and they all died except Doctor Lokin. So the only way I could defeat this boss was to have my healer with me and tank him myself. Kalio came off the worst IMO and she had better heavy armor gear. So at the moment it looks like I will just roll with my healer companion and do all the dirty work myself.

Yes I pretty much have all my companions gear up well, blue, purple and orange mix. I have also started on the healing tree as well. In my opinion the devs have gone overboard with the nerf because of people complaining on the PvP servers but in the process have messed up the PvE game. It's got to or is getting to the stage where the operative will be stuck on his class mission, unable to continue because he will not be able to kill a gold elite boss.

I haven't had any problems with elite mobs until they nerfed the operative. I've never had a problem with crowd control either, Yes I know how to slice a droid and sleep dart another. I have also solo'd heroic + 2s too. The issue now with my lvl 41 operative is that he is too weak to kill gold elite bosses. I tried my last two missions using all of my companions to no avail which is stopping me from continuing the game. Pre patch I could kill gold bosses one level above me but now I can't and it's not my game style.

Yes it's a crying shame the devs don't play the game themselves to test it. I've been playing an operative since beta and at present I have a level 41 agent who now can't even complete missions if they have a gold elite mob in them. This has made the game not enjoyable for me anymore and led to me canceling my subscription to go find a game with more enjoyment. I never thought I would see the day I unsubscribed from SWTOR but the devs just killed it for me after spending all my time enjoying my agent just for them to nerf the hell out of him. So two more weeks of trying to complete mission I am now struggling with because my agent is now too piss weak to kill gold elite mobs at my same level and then I'm off to greener pastures unfortunately.

Seriously, after 37 pages of this flame who really give a flying **** ! how many people purchased the game, subscribed, unsubscribed, resubscribed, re-unsunscribed etc etc etc If you like the game then go play it, but if you don't like the game then, erh, don't. SIMPLE's !

They've nerfed the combat experience of the operative. I've been playing since beta testing and taking my time to enjoy the game and content by not rushing to lvl 50 but this nerf has just made my lvl 41 operative not very nice to play. A lot of people keep saying that it's a new game and it's only been release a month so all these changes are expected but in fact it's been something like 6 years in the making I believe and a good few of those in beta testing so these issues shouldn't even be there for nerfing in the first place IMO.

Actually this is NOT a troll, it's a genuine question followed by an explanation of the problem I'm experiencing all of a sudden. If you can't answer the question, why even bother to post I asked a question, explained why and then stated how it's made me feel. Yes I did HAVE to skip content because the game was TOO EASY due to the fact that too much XP was being dished out coursing you to over level the planet you were on at the time. So I stopped grouping with my brother, stopped space missions, heroics and flashpoints in order to stay at the same level as the mobs. As I asked... has the operative now been nerfed ? and is this why now I am having difficulties killing gold elite mobs ? And YES, this situation has made me consider my subscription but just because it has and the fact that I mentioned it has does not make this a TROLL thread.

Has the operative been nerfed in RP-PVE or has this only happened on the public test server ? The reason I ask is because all of a sudden since the last patch I seem to be having trouble killing elite bosses at my level ( 41 ) and one level above. I always just managed it before depending on what companion I had with me at the time. Now I can't even complete some of my bonus missions or any other mission come to think of it that has a gold elite boss at the end of it. I already missed out on so much content so i didn't over level which at first was making the game way too easy because I ended up 4-5 levels above most of the mobs. So I skipped some planet content and now avoid Space missions, flashpoints and heroic mission just so I wouldn't over level anymore but now I feel under leveled. It feels like it's gone from one extreme to another. Before I had to miss content because the game was too easy and I over leveled and now I'm missing out on content because I can't complete some missions because I'm not powerful enough. I never thought I would ever say I'm thinking of "canceling my sub" but for the first time I have considered it.

How on earth did you manage to under level ??? I ended up having to skip content on 3 planets so far just to stop myself from over leveling and I don't bother with space, flashpoint or heroic missions. You must be missing so much content if you are under leveling. Most people are crying out for some kind of XP on/off switch to help prevent them from over leveling.
