Darth_Grissom
Because... This: This: This: This: This: Okay that one is kind of funny, well if you didn't run around like that for a week straight waiting for server maintenance, and never getting a reply to your week long ticket. Are acceptable amiright? Falling through the world every 5 minutes causing a crash-and resetting all of your in game settings are acceptable amiright? Not being able to zone into an instance because of bugs is acceptable, and then not even being able to hit "Accept" on a group invite is acceptable, again, amiright? Too bad I just want to "whine", or what I like to call "play". I have not had any of these things happen to me at ALL, NONE, ZERO as far as the videos are concerned. The last one, made me die laughing and falling out of my executive computer chair, omg FUNNY. I am glad that, that bug is in the game cause I got to see it and if it wasnt, i wouldnt have been able to. Me and the wife has ran into ONE bug with mobs evading that, after they chained back, fixed it. As far as any performence issues with the game, our computers run perfectly fine. Mine is a 5 1/2 month old top of the line (Almost) computer. Her computer is around 3-4 years old technology wise. Its actually like almost 2 years old. Chromiie
I just wanted to say... Bravo *Claps* Bravo! Amazing ... From the theatrics to the create character screen to the quests... ! Are you serious? The character creation? I bet you never even youtube'd APB, Eve Online or hell Saints Row the Third's character creation. Quests are the exact same in WoW and unfortunately a lot less. Yes it's nice having dialogue but look at how fast people level because there are so few quests but whatever good you like it. I like the game too but I'm not impressed and I was excited for a long time and really hope Bioware can get it's act together.

Ameenachan
I find this game is much more enjoyable to level in compared to WoW. The story is BAM in your face and you can easily access any lore you want to read up on (without exiting the game)~ Love the stories, the music, the pewpewpew of my lasers and even the companion babble. Malus_Rex
I just wanted to say... Bravo *Claps* Bravo! Amazing ... From the theatrics to the create character screen to the quests... I gotta say I am a world of warcraft player.. and I have never said wow.. or whoa or holy crap he got his *** beat! more times in one night than i did last night I was scared at spending 109 dollars for time and the game but I must admit its the best investment i have made in a very long time. I probably won't quit playing wow just because i invested so much into it.. but i can go ahead and tell you my time will be on this game 99%. Thanks SWTOR creators for making the movie I loved as a child come to life! I seriously thought you were trolling when you said this. The character creation is pretty bad... from 4 body types (badly made four), no long hair (even for girls) and the ones we have mostly look daft. Especially the beards. And the species playable are just different coloured humans lol.

Shame there is no repeat music option. The story isn't so amazing imo. I enjoyed the Inqisitor and Bounty Hunter yea but I do not care at all for the Consular and Jedi Knight. Shortcake
I fully agree with Gabby Johnson. Explosive_Lasers
lmao, how can someone be so deluded I actually viewed the post kind of as sarcasm, but I'm not sure. I agree with it, in a sense. The combat is much more rewarding than WoW's, and the animations are incredible. ESPECIALLY for an MMO. The saber-fighting looks great. The graphics, while not as good as Rift's, have their own style, and I like them. My game also runs almost flawlessly, so that's a major advantage. If the graphics make my video card explode, I don't care if I can see the stitches in my pants. The basic premise is also VERY good. A story driven MMO, with each class getting a unique story, voice, and set of responses? And it's pulled off successfully? I'd have accused Bioware of witchcraft if I didn't know better. But, really, it's a personal preference. It makes me sad that some people obviously don't see that. Saying somebody will dislike the game when they reach a higher level, just because you did, is totally insulting to the developers, the player, and yourself. It shows close-mindedness, and makes you look like a jerk. If you offered constructive criticisms or arguments as to why YOU don't like the game, I'd be fine with it. But saying that OTHERS don't enjoy the game, when they said that they love it, makes you look foolish, and gets under my skin.

Markovnikov
I agree. I'm having fun too. The bugs are annoying, but I'm confident they'll be addressed. I think all the naysayers fail to realize most of us who are enjoying them game aren't making threads about it often. More people are enjoying the game than they think. Also, maybe because I've been playing MMORPGs since 1997, my expectations for releases are never high, but games do get better. Look at AoC for instance. That game was a complete nightmare upon release, but now it's a fairly polished game. Edited January 20, 2012 by Markovnikov

Enjoying it so much it's generating nicknames like TORtanic, being laughed at on every game forum and ridiculed as a failure, and causing a 3% fall in EA stock because of a patch in a game. A patch literally so bad it caused real world economic harm to a company. Because the patch was *THAT* bad.
Sangnz
It does get better. I have a 50 Imperial Operative who I leveled as a medic 100% of the time. I LOVED the story loved the questing enjoyed FPs, PvP and space battle. I really enjoy the crafting system. I barely explored 50% of the content due to getting so badly hooked on my main story I am now leveling a Sith Assassin with a friend and it is even more fun leveling with a friend (he is also an assassin) we are thinking of getting a 4 man leveling group done at some point in the future possibly republic side. You know what I am still loving this game, I have so much more to see and do.

Look at the 2nd page of this post I bought this game last night and it took me 2 hours to get to level 4.. just because i wanted to do EVERYTHING. From quest to exploring.. to murdering monsters... it was FUN. I died multiple times and enjoyed getting my *** beat (Mostly roaming into higher level zones). I don't see myself getting to level 50 soon. Its enjoyable.. Or did you even read all the pages? fail..

I don't see myself getting to level 50 soon. Its enjoyable.. I love the thought they put into the characters (Almost as detailed as skyrim) (Lawlz.) I love the thought of the quests (Come back when you've done the same thing 20 times) I love the way the world seems so real on my screen. (Lucky bastard.) I love the way it goes with the movie (I LOVED star wars as a kid) I always wanted to be a jedi ^.^ I love the way I can take my time and have the content available to me 1 - 50 instead of just 50. I love the way I cant skate through and just pew pew... I have to think and be smart... Its not a lazy game like other MMO. (Eh. Haven't been truly intellectually challenged by a game since...oh right, a MUD where I had to write several thousand lines of code in order to PvP effectively. Sounds tedious but it was actually a blast.) Most of all i love the new factor and cant wait to see more updates by swotr.. Bolded for emphasis. Let's have more reviews by people who have played for one night. They're so insightful. Edited January 20, 2012 by Serafinity
Explosive_Lasers
Enjoying it so much it's generating nicknames like TORtanic, being laughed at on every game forum and ridiculed as a failure, and causing a 3% fall in EA stock because of a patch in a game. A patch literally so bad it caused real world economic harm to a company. Because the patch was *THAT* bad. Hey, just like how Skyrim was ridiculed for how buggy it was! WHEN IT SOLD MILLIONS OF COPIES. Or how DA2 is ridiculed EVERYWHERE. AND MANY PEOPLE ENJOYED IT AND THERE ARE A LOT OF MAJOR FANS OF DA2. The internet is a lying mistress, that will lead you to believe lies, develop tons of opinions, feel others have the same opinions, and think that people care about you as much as they do in the real world. TOR is, in my opinion, one of the best games I've played to date. It's just my opinion though. People might not like the game as much as I do, but many people do enjoy the game. The forums are a very, very minor part of the population, and they are generally the more irritable or upset part. It's the review plague: People are more likely to give feedback when they've had a bad experience, and people that are having good experiences will continue to find good experiences. Now, many people that have bad experiences and go to the forums to voice them actually DO voice them, and offer suggestions and criticisms, to better the game. Others complain. Complaints leak out to other forums and spread like wildfire. Metacritic also lends a hand, because angry players will flood the website and fire volley after volley of 0's at the rating to lower it, and that will carry weight with other websites and people that don't play the game. So, people that have absolutely no experience with the game will call it TORtanic and insult it, based on what they've seen or read second-hand from unreliable or angry sources over the internet. Sure Date of the post that you quoted: 01.09.2012 , 11:18 PM Todays Date: 01.19.2012 Im still loving it Amazing Graphics Can't seem to get enough of it! Soon as work dies down I will dedicate my freetime more to this game Character customization ... Awesome "About like skyrim" I should be leveling up with friends as soon as they purchase the game which will make it 10x amazing. Leveling slowly (because i want too, made the mistake of leveling up on wow too fast to see end game content) 10 days into the game and my comments are still the same Care to repost your thoughts serafinity? Explosive_Lasers
keeep the fluffy aditude and act like nothing missing , wrong , bugged,or lacking in this game .. keep on those pink sunglasses bro , .. cool story Aren't rose-colored glasses for nostalgia? The very thing that makes many new games piss people off? Just because somebody has an opinion different than yours, doesn't mean you should insult them. The only person you're insulting is yourself. It shows close-mindedness and a lack of tolerance for other beliefs. If you truly don't agree, say so, and say why. People say why the like the game, but few say why they don't. If you say why you don't people can help you, and you can help Bioware. Try that, instead of insulting other users for their opinions, which makes you look foolish. YooYooMa
Yeah, the hardcore whine, and the casual players love the game. As with every MMO, the former are impossible to please. I have one character, a level 31 Imperial Agent, and I've been playing since December. I'd say I'm pretty casual. I hate this farce of a game.
