  1. Well, since it has a Dark requirement, I'll guess that it's available from the Dark Side vendor on the Fleet for your faction.
  2. I believe they are planning on adding transfers in the near future, so it might be wise to just sit tight. As for wasting time, it's only a waste if you didn't have fun. And if you didn't have fun, why are you playing? Beyond your personal situation, the game is in a fairly healthy state. It had a fantastic launch, with a large amount of subs, that had a very nice retention rate in the first stretch of time. They have a fairly large, stable subscriber base, and are releasing content at an above-average rate. As far as numbers and logic derived from past games can go, TOR is far from dead. In fact, it's one of the 'liveliest' MMOs currently active.
  3. Ha. Done it. OT: RP in the game isn't much difficult from at a table. You mostly use the 'say' and 'emote' channels to enact as your avatar would. Pretty straightforward. You may need to move, and go to areas where other people are, to find the RP, but it's pretty similar to tabletop once you get to it. A tip I have is to find out what the global OOC channel is for your chosen server, and try to organize/find RP using it. It's helpful, and it can help you learn the tricks of the trade to ask in the chat. It might also be helpful to find some people willing to teach you in-game. Though, if you have some experience at the table, you probably don't need much teaching.
  4. Hm. The 'sexiness', I guess you could call it, is indiscriminate in your work. Demands respect, in my opinion.
  5. I totally Either way, that comic is freaking awesome. Keep the good work up.
  6. My Jedi Knight needs Samuel L. Jackson's voice, NOW! I would make him Darkside, so badly. Sith Lord: You will not defeat us, Jed- *decapitated* Me: Oh, I'm sorry! Did I break your concentration? Me, on Esselles: Enough is enough! I'm tired of these nerfherding sabotage droids on this nerfherding starship! Me, fighting criminals on Nar Shaddaa: What planet are you from? Criminal: What? Me: What? What ain't no planet I ever heard of? They speak Basic in What? Criminal: What? *coughs* Needless to say, I enjoy that voice actor.
  7. >Check to see if the sender of the e-mail is an Alderaanian Noble.
  8. Took the words right out of my mouth. He would be a good Sith Lord. Further than that, Wes Johnson would be awesome. He voiced the Imperial Guards in Oblivion, and he's pretty good. Whoever said Tara Strong is dead on, too. I think it's illegal at this point to make an IP without her being involved.
  9. MMO communities always sucked, to some extent. Need I provide Exhibit A? http://www.cracked.com/blog/the-7-biggest-dick-moves-in-history-online-gaming/
  10. I had one opportunity to have a one-night stand with my male trooper. He dodged it like the smooth, asexual bad-*** he is. So, I think it's just the trooper class itself that lacks in the romance department, other than the LIs. And you get to romance Panthro, so don't complain.
  11. The Empire is a totalitarian government that endorses slavery, noble houses, and reveres the Force-users among them. They are generally very harsh, unforgiving, and ruthless. They are also fairly racist, and hold much more respect for Purebloods and Humans. While they aren't all Dark or Evil, many may be considered as such, because the Sith tend to interpret their Code as endorsing anger and hatred, which lead to the Darkside. The citizens and soldiers that aren't Force-sensitive are subservient to the Sith, so generally follow their lead. The Republic is a democratic-republic, with elected representatives for each planet under its rule. Equality is endorsed, and slavery is mostly illegal. The Force-users among the Republic are trained to be disciplined and act more as guardians or servants, instead of rulers. Most of the races are treated equally, but humans are still slightly better off, in many cases. While they may seem Light or Good, corruption, greed, and other darker aspects live in the Republic. The Jedi are generally trained to be leaders, while serving the greater good of the galaxy, the Order, or the Republic. So, neither side is Darkside or Lightside, just like Light and Dark are not always black and white in the sense of morality. The Empire and Republic have vastly different governments and regulations, just like the Jedi and Sith are far different than Light/Dark.
  12. Wait a second... *watches Episode IV again* Hehehehehehehehehehe.
  13. "You're about to face a squad of the Republic's finest." "*draws lightsaber* They're about to be a squad of the Republic's deadest." Elara Dorne: "Status report, lieutenant! Are you injured?" Trooper: [Flirt]"I don't know, I might need an examination." Elara Dorne: "This isn't the time for joking around." (Or something to that effect) Aric Jorgan: "I'm guessing that's a 'no', lieutenant." "Sir, I must inform you that with the energy boosts, my armor and shielding will be impenetrable with your weaponry. But worry not, I'm sure a soldier of your caliber can find a solution. Good luck, sir!" *starts firing missiles and lasers* "-and replace any mention of the Mantellian flutterplume with the number three." "That was the most excruciating way to hide information I have ever heard." "Then you clearly haven't lived enough."
  14. It makes classes like tanks effective in PvP. My Vanguard sucks in one-on-one combat, but has a lot of utility and support abilities, along with various forms of CC, that makes him a slaughterhouse with a team behind him. Without all the CC abilities, I'd just be a guy with ****** damage and high health, with no healing. The CC is important to my use as a player and a class. That said, diminishing returns could be useful, but some classes might depend on CC to fight effectively. One example I have, from that other game, is rogues. They have low armor and health, and above average dodge. They do about as much damage as other classes with much higher damage mitigation and health. They make up for the lack of endurance with stuns, CCs, and utility spells, that allow them to stop the hits from ever happening. While I only have extensive PvP experience with a Vanguard, I can say that CCs are sometimes important to a class, and it might be a bad idea to remove them.
  15. I like Republic more than the Empire. People just LOVE to play as villains, for some reason. I, personally, can barely bring myself to make evil characters, and the one I did make has no choice in the matter. Edit: Also, I'm guessing people haven't played Darkside Republic or Lightside Empire. For an example, I went back on my word and murdered an Imperial war criminal on my trooper for Darkside points. "One less blight upon the galaxy." Or my Jedi. "I slaughtered them all." Or, again, my Jedi. "Right, because I'm the only competent fighter on this planet." Or, once more, my Jedi. "He has to die. *Force pushes a flesh raider off a cliff*" As opposed to my Lightside Sith... Sith Inquisitor: "Let's rend them limb from limb!" Imperial Agent: "For the Empire!" Bounty Hunter: "For sweet, beautiful profit!" Me: *burst into room with a tray* "WHO WANTS COOKIES!?" And that's how I got my job as the meat-shield.
  16. Trymbo is the winner of this thread, hands down. "When you get blown up, come back and tell me about it! EVERYONE ELSE HAS!" "Now I'm... I'm smelling (something or other berries). Oh! OH! That would be... terrible in an Alderaanian stew!' "My wife told you that, didn't she? Don't listen to her, she's been dead for twelve years!" "Yeah, I met him. He's a few freighters short of a convoy, if you know what I mean." "Tell me about it. Every time I talk to him he thinks I'm his dead uncle that got sucked into a black hole." Edit: I just like his tone of voice. The VA did a good job with him.
  17. I've only had it happen a few times. One was a gangster that somehow miraculously (he was invincible) managed to kill a whole squad of Stormwind guards. Despite being outnumbered 4:1, against enemies with more armor, training, weaponry, and magical ability. That's the only thing that sticks out, because it was the first case I ever had dealt to me. Either way, we cleared it out, and arrested his ***. How? We god-modded right back.
  18. Funny thing is... I sounded like the male Bounty Hunter going through puberty...
  19. Yeah, that. I forgot to mention D(ead)i(s)D(ead), but I doubt anybody's that crazy.
  20. I think he was merely suggesting that Bioware add a new level of difficulty to all the story quests, so you can replay with everything certain amounts stronger. We can already do that in several ways, though. Ironmanning, no companions, no med-pacs, etc.
  21. ...... I'm not going to bother correcting that. Anyways, I think trying to Ironman it is challenging enough. Have a ball.
