In 30 years of owning a PC I have never had a CPU 'die'. Well ok C64's, but those things only had squirrels, ok? :D

Seriously these days it's so precise (mine came this way I'm not tooling w/ it), it's warranted overclocked w/ waterchill, no worries my man.. :)

Doing on your own? /Salute

True I just like to keep it safe but I enjoy reading about the over clockers. Especially max pc when they try to break things. Cheers to computers and bigger cheers to BioWare for this awesome game.

Intel's next die size is 22 nm :)

Even though I just got my 2600k in May, I'm looking forward to seeing what the Ivy Bridge chips can do in that 22 nm die size. All signs point to beastly.

Exciting times!

Yeah if Ivy bridge blows i5/7 out of the water I have no problem upgrading.

They will be on the same chipset, correct? (1155?)

I thought initially Ivy Bridge were going to be socket 2011, but a quick google says there will be some 1155 Ivy Bridges. Wow, nice, though one quick glance at a site says you'd still need a new chipset/mobo for an 1155 Ivy Bridge.
