  1. Hello fellow PVPers! I wanted to get some advice from you knowledgeable folks! Especially since that sticky is outdated... Though I've had an account since pre-order days, I'm an altaholic and I took a long break; so I'm just coming up on my first 50. I play on a RP server (Ebon Hawk) but I really enjoy PVPing quite a lot. In fact, its mostly what I do to level. Anyways, to the point: I'm currently level 42 on my Jedi Sage. Which while it isn't super-close to 50, its certainly the closest I've ever been. I play as a Healer, with the standard spec. I heard, about the time I hit level 40, that its unwise, if possible, to not enter 50 PVP in recruit gear. Or as very little as possible. While unfortunately I didn't hit 40 with the cap of WZ comms saved up, I did save them after that and have been converting them into Ranked Comms. I am currently: Level 42(~.5) WZ Comms: ~900 Ranked Comms: ~1000 Unfortunately, even with MVP votes, gathering comms can be a bit slower as a Healer, but I've been saving all that I can. I avoided playing on the double xp weekends to not outpace my commendation gathering. I'm not in any guilds so I don't have outside help or premades to run with. Here are my main questions: 1) Besides the obvious answer of 'capping', whats a good amount of Ranked Comms to hit lvl 50 with? 2) At what level, would you recommend, that I stop converting WZ comms into Ranked? Because obviously I don't want to hit 50 with a bunch of Ranked but not enough regular WZ comms to even buy regular heroic. 3) Will I forever die in fire going in with some Recruit gear? 4) Anything else I can do to prepare for hitting the big five-o? 5) Do I bother buying that level ~42 PVP saber for 900 coms? 6) What pieces should be my priority for purchase upon hitting 50? The main two (chest&legs) or the other bits and bobs? Thanks for the help, and sorry for my newbtasticness. ~Kaela
  2. Yeah. Im subscribed, I guess I should have clarified that. So by default I have many unlocks. My credit amount is reasonable. About 1k CC. I'll take a look at those. Thanks!
  3. So I've just come back to the game after a long break, and have some backpayment cartel coins. I've been mulling over what to spend them on, and Im thinking a Legacy Species unlock. On Ebon Hawk I have both a Legacy and a character over level 10 (I believe that's the requirements to buy one). Now I know vanilla Legacy doesn't transfer over servers, but is the cartel legacy unlock iaccount wide? If I wanted to start a new toon on Bergeren Colony, would I need to have a Legacy there to utilitise the cartel market species unlock that I bought via my toon on Ebon Hawk? To rephrase; From what I know, species unlocks the normal way have to be on the same server as your Legacy you used, but if cartel unlock is supposedly account wide, does that same rule apply? Hope I haven't confused! Thanks for the help! P.S. Im a subscriber.
  4. 2.5 hours and they let what... barely a day in? Not cool. I've been a good procrastinator. But not cool.
  5. Next wave is live! And... no e-mail. I really hope my e-mail server is just procrastinating delivery. I'll check the launcher, I guess.
  6. They're probably doing a combined wave, to get twice the people at once. Hopefully.
  7. I don't think thats any different than it has been. They didn't necessarily do it by dates. They just decided a certain number of people getting in, then probably rounded it to the nearest whole day. But ultimately its always been about number and not date.
  8. Wow, even the forum server is procrastinating. (Queues). It is an Ode to DecemberCrew!
  9. I wish I had a citation for this, but there was a book that explained the prophecy better than I had ever heard; So according to the traditional view of the Force, there is both Light and Dark, obviously. When you have a Sith, they take the dark side, but they also grow it. They take the seed and make a plant. The insatiable thirst for hunger. For a Jedi, they take the seed and nurture it, but it never particularly grows. (Thats often why 2 Sith can provide trouble for tons of Jedi). The problem with this is the Universal balance. ("An energy field created by all living things", remember.) All the darkness, sadness, badness, however you want to phrase it in the universe was the Dark Side. This was naturally balanced with the kindness, generosity, and all other warm and fuzzy things being done by all the other beings in the galaxy. However, the Sith in growing the Dark Side when they had it, upset that balance. A Jedi just took and focused a portion, but a Sith grew it. Therefore upsetting the balance. So; in this particular interpretation of the Prophecy, the Sith had to be eliminated for there to be true balance. Otherwise balance would have been achieved when you just had Yoda/Luke and Vader/Sidious. (Not counting Luminya, Mara Jade, and all those other EU folks were flitting around at that time.) Or another metaphor I guess you could use that I've made up would be Sith took the balloon and just kept adding more air to it, as much as they could. The Jedi took the balloon and were happy with it. But because one side inflated and the others did not, the balance didn't work out.
  10. I had sort of the same reaction. So wrong. Yet so funny.
  11. Thats good news! I just wish I knew what wave. If they continue a day at a time, it'll be... 4 or 5 waves later for me.
  12. Trying them all here! Though Sith Inquisitor and Bounty Hunter are probably lowest on the list. Not sure which one is up top.
