Excedrin Posted January 8, 2012 Share Posted January 8, 2012 If it is a glitch (something not working as intended) and the other player is intentionally using it to gain something (Huttball wins) in a way that was not intended my Bioware, then it is an Exploit. Read the rules. They banned people for camping that node in Ilum even though they were just doing something that was allowed by the game. If you know it is bugged and you use that bug for any sort of gain, you are in violation of the rules. Period. Definitely not working as intended.. not sure I'd define it as an "exploit" though. Seems like a good tactic as long as it's allowed, BW needs to make a few adjustments here. +1 if you get PULLED through it, blown through it, knocked through it, etc it should ALL count. That's not what I was saying. I was saying that yanking someone into an area that insta kills them when that wasn't its intended purpose is clearly an exploit. I can't believe I had to repeat that. Is this for real? well if the OP is telling the truth(on the internet!?!?!?!) then bioware said it was not an exploit but a bug. so your wrong lulz. Bioware does not consider an exploit, and it has been in the game for as long as there have been WZs. I can assure you a dev has been pulled into that area, or pulled someone into that area, at some point. If there's an exploit it's being able to stay up there all the time, and if there is a way to do that, I sure haven't found it. That timer keeps on counting down no matter where I move. They can make mistakes (clearly). 2) I don't trust the hearsay of some guy relaying information from a random CS worker. Call me crazy, but maybe I'd like something a little more official. Of all the unfair, exploitable "skills" that some classes have on that map, you get upset with one that rarely happens in comparison to the rest. Emkyu Posted January 14, 2012 Share Posted January 14, 2012 Can we get a response on this? My team plays fair and works hard to win games the right way. Our only losses in Huttball are to this method and it really takes a toll on my peoples' morale. I can't fathom that this could be interpreted in any way other than a blatant exploit. It makes it literally impossible to score without the ball carrier having an escort to CC the exploiter, which is not a scenario a team should have to deal with. Can the devs please respond on this?
