  1. Hi, When you get to 50 and did all the end game content. You are supposed to make an ALT. Have fun.
  2. Some of the later planets the difficulty can seem tuned up a bit. Try to change up your tactics or invest in some new gear.
  3. Pretty sure they just warn/edit whatever as long as someone flags it. The rules can be interpreted however they want. I got warned once for a joke that was funny. Some nerd didn't like it though and flagged me 3 days later
  4. Everquest is going free to play? That is awesome. I still need to max out my level 94 bard and necromancer. There are things that were awesome about Vanilla EQ and some of the early expansions. There are also terrible things. Things that eventually got changed in the later expansions. Some players can stomach that type of long grinding, a lot of people just can't do it anymore. Eq1 has mercenaries you can hire now. Double EXP potions. Really good methods of power leveling and more repeatable quests and missions. You can go try and play it in Vanilla mode, but I assure you. You will hire a mercenary by level 25. Grinding Vanilla is *Painful*
  5. Check the class boards. A lot of people have problems with some of the story progression bosses. I think the game does have kind of an old school feel to it. Corpse Camping on Illum was so old school. I laughed so much watching the live streams.
  6. Skyrim doesn't = freedom. Maybe I haven't seen whats going on in the mod circuit though. The leveling system in skyrim is too linear for me. I hate how leveling an ability requires constant grinding of said ability. The game actually punishes you for trying to use a wide assortment of abilities. When a game forces me to focus on 1 thing constantly I get bored. The old republic doesn't feel too linear for me. Once I get my ship there is so much I can do. Plus I can play alts and have the crafting support each other. There is just so much to do with good rewards. Skyrim was cool from a sandbox perspective, but that was pretty much it. Story and fun combat were non existent.
  7. It's just a bunch of people with way too much time on their hands. Or they care about the game way too much. If you find yourself posting more than 3 short paragraphs that are critical, just stop. Learn how to summarize your thoughts. If it even contains anything about "performance issues" just omit that part. Every PC game has performance issues, that has to be the most redundant argument going around.
  8. We aren't shareholders. They don't need to tell us anything. Rest assured though that Bioware will have to give all the details in a few months. I personally can't wait. When they finally confirm the game has at least 1.5 million subs people will stop the pointless speculation
  9. Most of the complaints I've read are flat out wrong, exaggerated or simply not a big deal.
  10. People from Bioware have flat out stated. They are experiencing steady growth. Of course the doomsayers are going to scream "liar".
  11. I tried playing Wrath as my last WOW expansion. Can't really speak about end game as I never got there. The level grind was so god awful boring. The animations and character models have been the same for 7 years.
  12. huh? Expertise is 10% boost. Get good sounds like the proper words to use here
  13. Check Newegg and Tigerdirect for "refurbished" desktops. Can probably find a decent one for 300-400 bucks than buy a real video card. Something with at least 1 gig of ram
  14. The world doesn't feel static at all. Maybe take some time to actually look around. NPCs are doing all sorts of different things. I was burned out after 100 or so hours. Took a few days off and now I'm probably getting close to 200 hours. I'm feeling the spark more and more. My biggest problem is deciding what to do when I log on. There are so many options It doesn't feel too linear at all to me. Only the companions being linked to story progression kind of annoys me.
  15. I don't think the term "many" is an accurate depiction of people not appreciating the story. Some people are just going to hate on it regardless. It's a big selling point for the game so of course people are going to be critical. The only people who even have an argument are those who say KOTOR did it better. Which I completely disagree with. KOTOR had the same redundancy. It had the exact same type of game choices. You are given a couple choices and the outcomes aren't that different. There is only so much they can program.
  16. There is no rule that says because you are playing an MMO you have to be social. I think for a lot of us video games are our only escape from constantly having to socialize with people.
  17. Still keeping my sub. Game has so much content. I'm over 120 hours in the game and have barelu scratched the surface
  18. If it takes 5 of you to take out a light DPS I don't care how much gear you get. Nothing will help you
  19. Every PC game has issues with different hardware. Mine has no performance issues with TOR. Usually I'm the one having problems. Trust me
  20. No My standard pop server tonight had the most people in fleet in the past week.
  21. AMD Athlon 2.8ghz. Nvidia Geforce430. 5 gigs of ram. Win 7 64 bit. All settings on high minus shadows. Video drivers set to high performance with AA forced off. 30-40fps average wherever I go. Only been in areas with 50 or so people though
  22. Knock backs are cool. They add another layer to PVP and the environment. Sounds like the guy in the video just wants EZ MODE.
  23. People aren't unhappy. I think the real unhappy people don't post at all, or post once and forget about it. Usually when I'm super angry I'll just say nothing. Venting frustrations is a healthy thing. Don't take the complaints too seriously.
  24. My honest opinion of the game is that it rules. Every one of these arguments pretty much boils down to something like Mario Vs Sonic debate. Yeah I remember what it was like being a kid.
