  1. It's most likely just young kids who want something the game doesn't have. They feel like it should be handed to them, so they cry on the forum. They also love to pretend to be smart and pretend they know anything about game development. They obviously don't.
  2. Haha yeah go to the newbie areas. Those areas are FULL. Even on the low population server I picked. The Republic fleet is loaded. Near Instant PVP queue. All the doomsayers simply have a narrow viewpoint of the world. Sure some people might not like the game. Some people might quit. What about all the people who love the game, and tell their friends? For everyone we lose we will gain people too. I think the game will have steady growth.
  3. um when they battle stealth to heal up... can't you heal up to? Never have a problem with battle stealth. They might get away but they aren't going to kill me. My Sage is too good.
  4. Average? lol some kids just don't know much these days. By all means get a bunch of your friends together and play around with the Hero developers kit. I'll be waiting 30 years for you to make anything close to this game.
  5. I agree this game is awesome. Once they get more open world PvP content and new warzones it's going to be so much fun.
  6. OP is living in Fantasy Land with many others. Some people can't handle Bioware games. I know some kids like that. I don't get why they feel the need to trash on the game though. It was expertly crafted from what I've seen (level 46). I've played games for awhile, this one is a gold mine
  7. kids these days just seem like spoiled brats. They think they are just supposed to be handed whatever they want. Lesson of the day.
  8. I don't even remember this mission. I might of died a few times, sometimes I get lazy or lose patience and try the fastest way through. Stark was the most difficult consular story quest. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong, I destroyed him. My best advice to Sages is DPS is so important when you get higher level. There is a side quest boss in a cave on Voss that did more Melee damage than I had ever seen. My usually strategy of DPS, Cloud Mind, Heal Nadia, DPS. Sometimes I rescue nadia and take some damage to even things out if I'm behind healing. None of that worked. He only had like 25khps though I knew I could burn him down, and that's what I did. Force Speed is in the game for a reason. Use it and run out of the enemies range if things are going bad. The combat in this game is very rewarding for me. When I execute my tactics properly I crush stuff.
  9. Lets go back to the original Everquest Planes of Power days. Where you could raid for a week straight and get nothing. It's funny to me what raiding must be like now. I think people should be glad they can get gear easily. Plus new gear will come out. If you are in that situation you simply go through content faster than most players. Accept that about yourself and learn patience.
  10. You are complaining about having a pull ability? You guys don't PvP much do you? Sure in 1 on 1 it makes no sense, but in group fighting that is GODLY to have.
  11. Bioware did an amazing job. Hands down. I've been visiting the boards because I just spent like 50 hours playing this game. I forgot what communicating my thoughts felt like. I was too fixated on flexing in front of Nadia. The people at Bioware probably don't need me to defend them. Regardless I see some of the negative garbage getting thrown around here and I feel bad for the people who put in TONS of hard work. Nothing wrong with voicing opinions and trying to improve the game through constructive criticism. Keep it constructive. I LOL a lot at the pointless crusades by people who just want the game to fail.
  12. Stark has a really strong close range AOE that I couldn't interrupt. You have to avoid that at all costs. Block his projectile spells and heals and avoid AOE. Should be able to take him down. I did it at 41, I think he was level 43.
  13. Combat is a big part of the game. Some of the solo fights require some thought. It's a learning process and unless you completely spoil the game there will be trial and error. I love the fact that my Sage cant just spam heal my way through the game. I can't just DPS my way through it either. I have to use Lift, and I have to use Mind Snap or I wont win tough fights.
  14. My sage doesn't run out of force much either. My build is mostly balance and healing right now. I can't see myself ever trying to PvP or play my sage without Preservation. Force Armor costs so much without it. It does seem to be better in PVP than PVE at least.
  15. Innovation? Not totally sure about all that. This is the best looking MMO I've ever played. The combat is so much more fun too. PvP obviously needs some work. I do notice some delays when I PvP, it seems like a latency issue to me. The game servers aren't getting the command to cast fast enough. Just give it some time.
  16. The Hero Engine might not be the best, but Bioware did a good job with it. This game looks great on my system. Some minor glitches and annoyances, no big deal. Not nearly as glitchy as Skyrim was for me.
  17. Oh wow the "linear" argument again. I hate this argument when talking about video games. They are ALL linear. Skyrim is just as linear as this game is. Certain aspects of the design might fool you, but it's so linear. I got bored with Skyrim in less than 20 hours. Nothing I did in the game seemed to matter much in the world. Town A looked just like Town B. I had to follow set skill tree paths to get stronger (just like this game). There really isn't much difference between the two games when you look at the bigger picture. I know it's hard sometimes, but try to use your heads a bit more. Anyway this is one of the best games I've ever played. Bioware did an awesome job, gave me the game of my dreams pretty much. People should show them the respect they deserve.
  18. I haven't got bored at all. About to hit level 46. If you do well in PvP you can get loads of EXP.
  19. I like what you have in Balance, I have something similar. Level 45 at the moment. This is just my opinion but Telekinetic tree seems kind of useless for Sage. Plus preservation in the healing tree makes the game so much better. When you get higher level you will notice Force Armor starts costing way too much force for what it's doing. Especially vs elite mobs. Rejuvenate is also an amazing skill. Right now I'm like half and half in Healing and Balance. With a few points in telekinetic.
  20. Hey all, level 45 sage here. I've barely touched Voss, but I don't expect it to be much different than previous planets. I can't speak for other classes, but when I'm slacking or do something wrong on my Sage I go splat. I don't have a problem with the game keeping me on my toes. I beat Stark at level 41, it took a few tries till I realized how to win. If you are losing to Elites and bosses a lot you probably aren't using your interrupt ability. Even on my Sage who heals lots, I have to interrupt lots of enemies. Also if you take damage a lot period you need to stack +defense gear. I put + defense gear on Nadia and watch her face plant everything in light armor.
  21. Of all the comments I've read on the boards the ones that bug me the most are the ones about linearity. I hate when people bring that argument into video game discussions. You have to look up the basic definition of the word and it describes all video games. Every game is point a to point b. Drawn by lines. Every game is bound by these rules. Until advanced AI are developed, and computer processing power increased we will never see real freedom of choice in a video game. It's just a question of what games can create more of the illusion of freedom. That is usually a matter of opinion. The Old Republic does the illusion well. As have most of Biowares story driven games. There are tons of options in this game. Tons of content. I also have to laugh when people talk about how "if they didn't spend so much time on voice acting". Contracted actors did the voicing, yes it probably took lots of time putting that into the game but use your head a little bit. 50% of the work got contracted out. Sure they could of put more time into some areas, but don't blame the voice actors lol. Oh yeah Bioware rules. Peace
