  1. they made similar hints to future events in the last one, but i do not think they have anything definite planned for either. As for more events, i would rather have them focus on persistent content, since they seem very limited on resources at the moment.
  2. They cant because they do not have the resources. They have dug themselves a pretty deep hole and it is just not a priority...
  3. Really i think they missed a huge opportunity in this. I really think they should have placed more emphasis on light and dark side, and used it as meas of faction change. there is so much in the story about jedi and sith changing sides and going against their order, but yet my character being light or dark makes no difference in the game.
  4. social armor kinda did in this argument. i can see this being a goal of end gear armor but in general they should open up more armor to companions and players alike.
  5. I would not be surprised if they left hk-51 off the test server, even if he is in 1.4. they may not want to spoil the details before its even live. now given their history i would also not be surprised if we never see hk-51...
  6. I would rather have a change of schematic color to orange for orange gear, but yes this would not be horrible.
  7. In my opinion i think pvp in this game is crap, as is the case in most pve focused mmos. I am not sure why anyone would want to pvp in a primarily pve focused mmo, but they do. thus aaa developers split their resources and try to appease both sides, which more often than not fails. pvp in swtor has huge potential but was obviously an after thought, through much of the development. now bio ware is trying to appease the few dedicated pvps and they just do not have the resources.
  8. vote kick should be a majority rules, and 2 out of 4 is not a majority... the only time i have ever been vote kicked was in esseles story mode, all of us level 10 or 11. first time since beta i had played pubs and never done esseles. Two members of the group wanted to watch cut scenes, 2 member did not. guess which two were the ones to vote kick the others. after spending 30 min waiting on group find the first time i gave up and logged for the night.
  9. from my pug experience you roll need on mats if you need them. given that it was mostly a single guild they may do it differently on their runs, but they should know that is not the norm and deal with it accordingly....
  10. Im not sure if the problems is lack of staff, funding, or just all the red tape that comes with ea and bioware level companies, probably all of the above. But i fully agree this event although a fun little distraction, it was not at all AAA level content. Im really wondering if they ran in to major problems with the real content and just had to throw this in so they could say, yes we are adding new content. This event really feels like a weeks work for a very small team of programers at best. Throw in the lack of qa on this event, and it really worries me about what is going on behind the scenes at this point. Really it points to two possibilities, they are either stalling till F2P goes live, or the potential sale of ea has put the breaks on all major development until they have a clear view of the companies future.
  11. so far both events have had unique tokens. i would not plan on them being usable again. its always possible they may make them useful in some way at some point in the future, but your better off spending them or selling them if you can.
  12. yes for those that have not done it, only three items have guide quests. the remainder you have to explore capital world and na shaddaa. the quest all have a starting box that are pretty obvious if your search enough, or you can get some help through spoiler sites.
  13. Ill be curious to see if there is more story to the event than has been told so far. It seems like there will be at some point.
  14. Keep in mind it has been stated, some what officially, that the armor for this and the rakgoul event will be legacy bound in the future. Thats the main reason im going to take the time to get a set, not that it takes too much effort.
  15. I have played a merc through 50 and a pt though 31 so far. I can say that the both are quite viable in pve solo content. mako makes level pretty easy on both, and if you find your self over powered you can switch to gault for extra dps. One advantage i have found, in favor of the merc, is concussion missile at level 22. I find i miss it a bit while leveling my pt, since taking a gold out of the fight completely beats having a bit more defense. I could do more heroics solo on the merc with this cc ability. though the pt may catch up at higher levels. really i dont think you can go wrong either way, its more of a question of which you want to play at end game.
  16. A lot of the 1.3 stuff is about encouraging alts, which is where the "legacy" comes in. If you have played your main heavily and have tons of cash with nothing to do, then you can burn that cash on some alt perks. Further for most of the perks are useless post 50 (atleast for now), so having them apply to all alts would be a waste of money.
  17. I noticed the same thing in black hole dailies last night. Im not sure if the buffed up the black hole mobs or, if i missed something on respec, or if its something in the mechanics that has changed. But health does seem to drop quite a bit faster as an arsenal spec.

There is still plenty to do post 50 solo or other wise. alts, dailies, space missions, crafting, exploring, rp, ect. really on top of that swtor has more content than most games, with the only real exception being mmos that have been out for a decade or more. 8 class story lines, 2 story lines for most planets (pub and empire), side quests, bonus series, most of which is solo content. I think a lot of swtor and modern mmo players either never learned or forgot that a big part of an mmo is finding your own fun. Its not a hand holding isolated single player game. if your not having fun anymore then find something else, in swtor or in another game.
  19. The reason they few options for ships is because of all the cut scenes, both of the interior and exterior. But they have talked about possible customization and/or other ships in the future.

I do agree that most leveling content in swtor is too easy, and leveling is too fast. these two really go hand an hand, and it would be great if they toned down the xp gain, but it is obviously to late for that. When playing my alts i actual like doing the heroics solo because its a much more challenging fight.
  21. I really do not think just knowing the order of the planets is going to spoil anything. Really my first time through i didnt even think of check the vendors to see what planets were coming up. Further this can go both ways, most people like a little peak of whats to come (think movie trailors). Fleet is an added convenience (did not exits in early beta). And if your really dedicated to the story you do not have to spend much time there at all.
  22. yeah i noticed that when i did my transfer the character count was +1. just a bug that seem to have a short term work around.
  23. the lowbie run from freeport to qeynos was like a mini game all in itself.
  24. WoWs success kinda spoiled its whole player base, particularly now after the near decade of development time. Many do not seem to understand a that no new mmo can live up to that amount of content or polish, in the first 2-3 years. If they had been around in the early 2000s they would be quite impressed with every AAA title being released these days. All of them SWTOR, RIFT, Tera, are light years ahead of eq, wow and others at their release... Another issue is the anti-grind campaign. people complain about the hours of grinding in the old games. Then complain how after hours of playing in the new game they are max level and bored. The fail to realize it is not financially possible to create a new game with enough content to appease those whose only goal is to rush to max level, while still having a game with little grind...
