  1. Future? This game has none. My entire guild has quit playing because they finally realized that this is a sub-par game, developed by kids who don't know what a MMO is. I'm so disappointed by Bioware that I will NEVER buy another game from them again, this is pathetic.
  2. The game does look bad. The backgrounds to all the hallways (excuse me, "planets") is directly lifted from SNES games; it's pathetic.
  3. The worlds are dead, and feel dead. The servers are dead, and feel dead. The game was underdeveloped and over-hyped to sell people at the start. Like I've said; if this were any other IP this game would already be shut down, but because it's Star Wars they get a free pass for their novice MMO, that's so sub-par it hurts.
  4. Yup, my server is dead too. Server mergers won't happen though; EA can't do it because it will generate too much bad publicity (i.e. confirm that the game was rushed for xmas and underdeveloped).
  5. Amongst the many things that Bioware is bad at, communication is one that they excel at being bad at, sadly; the game had a lot of potential.
  6. Dying game is dying. It's not innovative, different, or fresh. Truth hurts.
  7. My server is dead too; these tips didn't produce results, but I still think it's good advice.
  8. The thread title is nice, but it implies that Bioware ever took the time to look, much less play, a MMO before they began making this game. I'm being serious; it's painfully obvious that Bioware heard about MMO's from a newspaper or something and went off of that.
  9. Bioware will learn; in a few months this won't have many subs and the fanbois will cave. This game could've been great, but no one at Bioware had any MMO experince going into it. Shame, but the game is dying fast.
  10. Bioware screwed up the UI and "community tools" (there are none) so hard that most people either don't like chatting or can't tell when someone is trying to talk to them. Just another poorly developed system. Wish I was wrong.
  11. LOLOLOLOLOLOL Cutest thing I've seen posted in awhile. Calling Swtor different just never gets old; it's always funny.
  12. Why are we still talking about this? They're dropping, and fast. Who cares? Enjoy the game? Keep playing. Think the game is sub-par, poorly developed, WoW-clone? Unsub.
  13. BEHOLD MY ARMY! AND KNEEL BEFORE MY GREATNESS!!! BEHOLD! YOUR PUNY WORLD IS NOW MINE!!!
  14. Stopped reading there. It's a sub-par MMO, everyone I play with agrees, but we still play with the hopes that it will get better; but we won't for too much longer.
  15. When have I ever said that? See? The SI story actually made you feel a certain way about one of its characters, from the very start, whereas the Consular story.....doesn't. You're right about learning a lot of history and such, and that's fine, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, but there is still some very basic story-telling techniques that are missed. The content of a story is only a fraction of a story, how you tell that story is just as important.
  16. I was honestly in shock at how poorly written the whole thing was, I really really was. And lest we forget, this is a Bioware game! Oh, and you know the whole selling point of this game, story, yeah....nice shot in the foot there.
  17. Well known issue; this game is poorly optimized and on a dated engine. While the OPs case is extreme, even those with beastly rigs notice a substantial hit from this game when compared to any other bench-mark game out there. Nuked PCs aside, this was a very poorly designed game.
  18. Merging servers won't happen for several months. Merging servers would generate bad press, even though the game does already need it.
  19. Consular story is truly a poorly written story. The entire thing relies on characterization, a very basic story technique, but achieves none of it. It just tells us we should care instead of actually making us care; I'd be so embarrassed if I was the one who wrote that (I'd also consider going back to school, because it clearly didn't work the first time).
  20. Yup it's why it got reported and removed.
  21. No no, you misunderstand me. If it isn't praising the game or telling heart-warming stories by the camp fire, while singing kumbaya, then it's basically considered "negative feedback" and therefor herded into single threads. I don't think you posted negative feedback, but I'm also not a mod on here (thank Yoda).
