  1. Bro, have you not seen the Star Wars movies? Look at how bad/stupid stormtroopers were; that's the Commando/Vanguard whether you want to accept it or not. Like 5 of them couldn't even kill ******** Luke when he was trapped on that ledge. Or how about when they found Princess Leah on that ship, she capped one and the blast didn't even hit him yet he fell over. All troopers were good for was jackin' Jawas and jumping Jedi's when they had their backs turned. Troopers are supposed to be bad according to the LORE damnit. That's why, until subs run out, you need to abandon your Commando and play a Sentinel. Easy fix.
  2. We all know SWTOR has been a huge flop, why are we even upset at this point? I'm done caring, GW2 is inbound and that will be the second nail in the coffin for this game; the first nail was 1.2, great job Bioware, you killed your own game, standing ovation!!!! SWTOR will be free to play by the time MoP arrives without a doubt. What some people don't understand is that PvP now makes or breaks a game, and if you break the PvP in said game it's done like dinner.
  3. What do Commandos have that puts them on par with other classes? Let's see the side by side that you have put together. People like you make me laugh, you come here attempting to make yourself out to be some messiah of the Commando class, like you have all the answers that we haven't been smart enough to figure out. We all play the other classes and we see how bad the Commando is lacking when we compare them. Please, don't come here with your "on paper" theories and conjecture and try to tell us how to play, thank you.
  4. Please, everyone, ignore this guy. We have told him so many times what is important and what isn't in PvP yet he still comes here and attempts to lecture us all. Overall damage means nothing if it can be healed through; dropping DoTs all over the place and Hammer Shotting isn't doing much but annoying people; a Marauder or Assassin's self heals will heal through that. Now MasterRodimus, please bear with us mere mortals and listen: if all of the n00b Commandos really felt that Assault was in fact the new "land of milk and mother****ing honey" don't you think we'd all be Assault? Please, just let it go.

When I said a few weeks ago that my fresh 50 Sentinel was ruining BM Mercs/Commandos I was scoffed at; all the highly skilled Marauders and Sentinels cried foul and then attempted to lecture me on how difficult their class was to play and how only really good Marauder players can dominate a Commando in PvP... <--- this was my only reply.
  6. No problem my friend. I just try to keep it real as a mother****er and in doing so I have received a few warnings from the forum mods. Fear not though my fellow soldiers, I'll keep fighting the good fight until we Commandos see justice.
  7. I think having an ability like Snipers/Slingers have (Cover) that makes them immune to interrupt and being leapt on is something I'd like to see on my Commando. We have to be stationary a lot of the time anyways and our main attacks are cast. Eh, it's too much to ask for though and probably would be too much in the way of buffing the class. IMO, the Commando/Merc needs a full overhaul to be worth playing. I'd be down with them (Bioware) removing the class from the game entirely TBH and giving me an equivalent Gunslinger.
  8. Sentinel and Marauder players are suffering from a severe case of denial. The whole "only good players can play the Marauder really really good" bit is just a joke at this point. The class is not hard to play and even sub par players can see great success with the class. A friend of mine with severe injuries to his hands plays a Sentinel and appears to do very well but on his Scoundrel he's just really bad and always has been. In WoW he played a Druid and was "a great healer" but on a Priest he was just bad. Anyways, I for one don't see a need to nerf the Sentinel/Marauder or the Assassin/Shadow (which are imba as well IMO) or any other class, just bring all the other classes up to their level. Of course that would make all you "skilled" Marauder players cry a river, God forbid things get difficult, right? I can see it now: "OMG I bled my own blood!"

  10. I'm in full BM and have been and I still get hit for over 5k by Smash (Force Sweep). Is that fair and balanced? Ask Fox News, maybe they have the answer.
  11. There has to be changes coming and soon, at least I hope so. Should the powerful classes be nerfed? No. Buff the weaker classes to be on par with the powerful classes. I could have seen certain powerful classes being buffed even more if the Commando hadn't been hit so hard or even at all. Were Commandos picking on the poor Marauders and Assassins? No, those classes were tearing us up before 1.2 and now it's exacerabated with our decreased damage and survivability. The developers at Bioware are so transparent with their favoritism it's not even funny.

  13. Of course the class still functions but it's nowhere near the level that it needs to be especially when compared to the other ranged classes. Please stop trying to sell us your Kool-Aid, we're not drinking it.

It's obvious: either most of the developers or some lead dev plays anything other than Commando/Merc and since they're probably as predictably bad at their own game as other developers from other games, they felt the need to destroy this class. Why? Well, they were probably being typically B-A-D at this game whilst playing some e-z mode Assassin or Marauder or Sorcerer and got rolled by a Commando in some intense PvP action late one night at the Bioware offices. Most likely one of the junior developers @ Bioware was the guy on the Commando who just wrecked them and he just had to rub it in that they were obviously pretty bad if they couldn't take out the easiest class to defeat 1v1 in the game. That's just my opinion but I could be wrong.

  17. Most of the classes were e-z mode, genius. It's just that now Commandos have been nerfed while the other e-z mode classes have been buffed. Go back to your "hard to play Marauder" , thanks.
  18. Just by reading your well thought out posts I can tell a few things, possibly: 1. Your Commando is either an alt that's not level 50 yet or if it is your main you do not play at the level required to understand the main ideas of this thread. 2. You jumped on the Commando band wagon when YOU thought all we had to do was hit Grav Round and stand in one place for PvP. 3. You complain that you cannot find information here on this forum...this thread is full of all the info you'll ever need on the current state of PvP Gunnery spec. 4. We know what we need to do as far as a DPS rotation, we do not need you to remind us...but as I have said from the beginning: this thread is about PvP. And it is not just about damage. It is also about survivability and utility. There are more than nerfed Grav Round damage issues here, those of us that are actually complaining and cancelling are looking at more than that: -10% reduction to Grav Round (ok, that's pretty up front) -Reduction to Charged Barrier (tied to...Grav Round, direct nerf to survivability) -Tenacious Defense now reduces the cooldown of Concussion Charge by 2.5 seconds per point (direct nerf to survivability) -Mortar Volley radius reduced (after months of having gimpy MV, that gets fixed only to have reduced AoE radius...why?) -Muzzle Fluting...eh......................... Ok, now for the buffs: -10% damage increase to Demo Round (nice, on paper...but after 1.2c my Demo Round is now hitting for as much or less than before 1.2 due to a bug they fixed? Thanks Bioware) -CoF proc increase (this is pretty nice but again, it's tied to...Grav Round) Am I missing any "buffs"? The nerfs would not have been so bad, PvP I'm talking here okay, if there would have been compensation in our survivability and utility. Lower our damage but give us the survivability of a Sorcerer/Sage...no? Okay, guess we settle for just lower damage. Oh, and I could really care less about how much damage you do in pug WZ's, that isn't the point, if it was we'd all be complaining everytime we see a tank do over 600k in a WZ...wait we do complain, ok nm. Anyone who even suggests that pressing just Grav Round will or ever did yield 500k damage in any WZ is delusional. Anyone that tries to suggest that we could spam Grav Round and match the success of a Sorcerer spamming Force Lightning is just smoking crack. Also, with Ranked WZ's coming, you have to look at the manpower vs resources vs functionality. How many people does it take to effectively deal with 1 Commando? 1 Marauder? 1 Assassin? 1 tank? 1 Sorc? 1 Operative? You tell me. I know the answer already FYI. And when I say deal with a Commando, I mean either kill them or keep them from doing their job. An Assault Commando could probably live longer but won't reliably provide the burst that Gunnery Commandos were made to do, especially now with the Charged Bolts nerf. Now how many people to deal with a Sorc, Marauder, tank spec Assassin, Jugg, etc etc? Why even take a Commando to be honest when any of those classes can provide the same and better damage and CC better than us and interrupt and survive with less resources dedicated to keeping them alive? I don't have the answer to that one. So there you go, information for you. Need more? I'll be back at 11. Oh and I am so happy that Slingers and Snipers had a 5% damage increase yesterday. Face slap: engaged.

  20. Well, greetings traveler! So tell us, what spec was your Necro? Okay, please stop the lies and BS. We're not buying it. And you're not "mopping" anything up with your Commando because if you were you wouldn't need to come here looking for any information. And, if people are complaining it's for a reason. Stroll over to the Marauder forums, how many people are complaining about that class post 1.2? We're not stupid Mr. GameMaster and with your vast MMO knowledge you should know when a developer has made a mistake. Let's just say that this game is perfectly fine as far as stability and even end game content, that doesn't change the fact that those of us that play our Commandos in a PvP environment every day are seeing issues with the class post 1.2 in both healing and damage. If you think you're the greatest because you can sit there, WZ after WZ and never get interrupted or drilled by wave after wave of melee, then more power to you and please, send some of those bad players you play against our way. Okay, I need to go level my Horde Bright Wizard...lol, really, Necro...okay GAMEMASTER!!
  21. If you think the game was "literally unplayable" then you should have upgraded your computer, it played perfectly fine for me and thousands of others. Any MMO created since needs up their game; SWTOR had promise but it is falling way short. And yes, those of us that liked this game are quitting, so you'll get your wish and all of you that love the game and prefer to keep your heads in the sand will all be on one server and it will be FTP. Have fun with that.

  23. Guys, let's not turn on each other here. Keep the resentment aimed at those who refuse to acknowledge their paying customers that play the Commando class. Oh, and yes I was being sarcastic when I said we had great survivability in PvP.
  24. Please, if you insist on selling garbage, at least make it smell a little better. WoW was not "literally unplayable" for the first 5 months. 5 months into WoW (remember, WoW was released at the end of November, 2004), serious guilds had already cleared Molten Core, Retribution did it on Arthas before May of 2005 and my guild did it about a month or so later; other guilds had done it before that. World of Roguecraft came out in summer of 2005 and that video proved that WoW was and had been just fine for many months. WoW had bugs, sure all games do, but it was good to go. WoW was just fine and in MY OPINION it was put together much better than SWTOR. Either way, it's irrelevant since I am no longer a WoW fanboi, I was one of the masses hoping that SWTOR would deliver us from the evil that is WoW. You have proven that this topic is way, way over your head. Please, don't come here spewing your BS unless it's at least entertaining. This is not a "WoW is better than SWTOR" thread, it's not even a thread where we focus on comparing the 2 games. I made a statement referencing why SWTOR just is not as relevant as WoW and quite honestly why I just will not be shedding any tears over not playing a game that cannot measure up to another game that is 8 years it's senior. Draw whatever conclusions you will from that, I don't care. Oh, I have been warned not to advise anyone to cancel their accounts, so I apologize. Commandos are perfect the way they are, they have not been nerfed. Their damage is extremely high and their survivability is like herpes: you cannot kill them. Period.
