  1. And I'd say mostly the PVP guilds on Pot5 are more on the Imp side. Not that being a PvP server means much. Just means people are free to gank in open world. Warzones are the same on all servers.

    "Objective Players"

I primarily play objectives on my Scrapper Scoundrel. Guarding nodes, interrupting caps, or just focusing on healers. Damage numbers tend to be lower because I'll have a lot of downtime during the match as I try to move around the battlefield to where I'm most needed. A big part of that is because I normally queue solo, so team coordination is less than a ranked warzone. And when you spend your time on a node guarding and calling out, you do tend to have low damage numbers. I don't think I would call myself an "Objective Player", but I do play the warzones to win, and not to see how much damage I can deal. If I get my 8 medals and we win, I'm happy.
  3. Meh. It's always easy to deal good damage and feel tough when you aren't getting focused. I'm guessing it's probably a half sawbones, half scrapper spec. You get the heals over time, and the ability to generate extra TAs. And then you get the Sucker Punch to dish out damage. Of course, you'd lose a lot on the alpha damage, but should be able to live longer that it's not doesn't matter.
  4. Assassins have a sprint (and a pull), and they are a stealth class.
  5. As a DPS spec, it does. As a healing spec. It's awesome. As a DPS spec, it's slow, all induction based, easily interrupted, and consumes a lot of energy.
  6. Try it. See how well it actually works when being focused and burning up all your energy. Scoundrel healing sucks and is incredibly power hungry when trying to heal yourself in combat. I'd much rather have Sentinels 20% damage reduction and 99% immunity cooldowns than my meager heals when I'm DPS.
  7. I think the problem with Crit is that it's doing really awful returns. How much crit rating do you have to get that 28%? Edit: I really hate how surge goes. It's not even diminishing returns. It just hits 30% and stops dead.
  8. Giving Snipers that Stealth detection was a bad call as far as class balance goes. If they were going to get that ability, it should have been a chosen skill in one of the trees (Engineering perhaps). Giving it to all of them for free is awful, considering stealth classes only get about +2-4 stealth detection and they have to spec into it. I'm really liking the idea that high in the Scrapper tree, we could get the ability to keep Shoot First usable within the first few seconds of being knocked out of stealth. It would really help negate that feeling of losing so much burst because we got spotted. Afterall, Assassins aren't giving up much burst if they get knocked out of stealth early.
  9. Much lower cost, and not affected by slows/snares are pretty much the only way I would swallow a cooldown. And I really don't think it needs one considering how large the energy cost is. What I take issue with is people saying it should have a cooldown flat out, without saying anything to compensate for it. Afterall, what could would a 6 meter roll be on a 10 second cooldown?
  10. I find the stats are okay if I mix and match from different sets, but otherwise, there's a bit too much accuracy and crit rating. Also, all the armor comes with the 24 power mods, instead of the higher (36?) power mods. Only the belt and bracers got those. Which means I'll likely have to buy several mods to replace those. Thankfully, they finally let us just purchase mods and enhancements directly, so tweaking the gear isn't nearly as painful as it used to be.
  11. Heh. I wouldn't be surprised. They really need to work on fine-tuning this engine. Lots of issues that just shouldn't exist.

    Operative roll

Partly because the class kind of still sucks with the roll. Are you really scared of the operative who can only crit high for 6k damage, while other classes run around with 8-9k crits. You want to know why operatives and scoundrels defend this ability? Because for the last year, we have been marked as one of the weakest DPS classes in the game, offering no utility to offset our meager DPS. Finally we have a skill that lets us move around the battlefield a bit easier, and everyone is jumping on the nerf train with fairly absurd accusations, usually getting our ability and the sniper version mixed and matched. So yeah...we're going to argue back about this for a long time.
  13. Happens with force sprint too. Basically, SWTOR has some pretty terrible position reporting and it glitches out whenever someone changes position quickly, in particular across vertical distances.

    Operative roll

I don't want no scrubs... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKV8uSX2nEQ All I can think of when I hear people say that.

    Smash Crazyness

I wish the same argument worked for Scoundrels. The defenses are fine. (Well, sorta. Undying Rage is pretty crazy). It's just the high AOE damage that surpasses many of the other classes single target damage. Sniper damage is pretty high right now too, but that's really another thread.
  16. Neon glowy colors that make it look like I'm at a rave! Just kidding. But just some nice hues that make the armor stand out a bit would be nice. Also a bright pure white would be nice.

    Operative roll

Give it a 15 second cooldown, and then you have to accept it no longer be affected by slows or roots and costing no energy. And see my very sad face after taking away a fun, but not overpowered ability from a class that sorely needed it.
  18. After some time at 55 warzones, I can say it's better...but obviously not great. We're still lacking some damage, and the crit rating change has hurt significantly. Basically 10% less chance to crit than we used to have. And sadly, our survivability has stayed mostly the same. Sure, we can roll around to get out of danger, but it's only so effective. I still hate how easily we're spotted in stealth. And the difficulty of healing in a fight, despite that being our secondary role. Mostly though, I think we just need to see some reduction in the damage other classes are dealing, rather than any real increase to ours. (Well, maybe boost Sucker Punch a bit. I still want Underdog to give that a crit bonus)
  19. Of course their forums would be filled with the same kind of stuff, just ESO flavored.
  20. What I don't understand is why people have to be jerks about it, blocking vendors. A null zone would work, but I think simply increasing the cooldowns of the statues would be sufficient. Obviously there's no reason anyone would actually need to access the holo trainer or vendors more than once in a 5 minute span of time.
  21. As a Scrapper, I'm thinking of going for 2 bonus of Medic for the +10% defense screen. Not sure what other bonus I'll pick up. The set bonuses in general are pretty crappy compared to what everyone else gets.

    Agent/Smuggler Roll

Ugh. I don't think people realize just how much a cooldown would kill this ability. If it got a cooldown, the energy cost would have to be removed and it become unaffected by slows or roots just to stay even somewhat useful.

    Agent/Smuggler Roll

Funny thing is the roll is kind of useless while holding the ball. Snipers get a lot more distance while holding the ball, since their roll isn't reduced by being slowed.

    Agent/Smuggler Roll

I don't know what Hybrid would be able to spam it. Only by going high up in Concealment does it become cheaper, and nothing I know of in the other trees increases energy regen to any significant degree.
