  1. I would like if my companion responded to my command instantly instead of there being a 2-3 second lag between the time it takes for me to tell him what to do, and him/her doing it. Thorn in my side.
  2. Here's my paper cut that I think of every time I use a taxi: When the taxi vehicle is a two-seater, I'd love to see my companion riding shotgun instead of just having an empty seat there. It would be sweet to be rollin deep with Khem Val in the two-seater hooptie.
  3. As in is it a good operating system to run SWTOR off of? It works great for me. I also like Win 7 as when it comes to other normal computer use (non-game stuff). I recommend getting Win 7 64bit (as opposed to 32bit) as with the 64bit version you can use up to 16gb of ram if your motherboard allows it. Not really necessary now but it leaves you room to upgrade in the future.
  4. I second visiting the Tom's Hardware website. I built my first PC last summer and the site was invaluable to me in the process my components. Here is their most recent (last month) article about a $600 gaming PC that will give you a good idea of what you're looking to get. You can go a bit above this since you are working with a higher budget: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-i5-overclock-performance-gaming,3097.html Good luck!
  5. The delay shown by companions is still in game. Companions should react instantly when given a command. As of now they wait 3 seconds to carry out what you tell them to do. Fix this please.
  6. I've been on board with this game since day 1, and used to hate when people complained that this game should have been KOTOR 3. Now though...I sadly have to agree. KOTOR 3 would have likely been amazing and gone down as a legendary game. I can't say the same for TOR.
  7. I have been in the D3 beta for about 2 months now and can sincerely say that I am not waiting for that game to come out. I have bought and played the heck out of every single Blizzard release since Warcraft II in 1995. Diablo 3 will be the first Blizzard title that I pass on.
  8. Bump. Glad to see ability delay get a fix. Now please fix companion delay.
  9. Companion delay is my biggest problem with TOR right now when it comes to gameplay. The ability delay (now apparently fixed) came up in the context of WoW so I'll do the same for companion delay. In WoW, when you tell a pet to do anything, the pet takes action instantly. No delay. I really hope they fix this issue but I'm not holding my breath since you're the first person I've ever seen who actually responded to one of my posts about it. My thread on the suggestion forum got zero replies.
  10. Just replace your video card and you'll be fine. No need to buy an entire new PC.
  11. Did they fix companion delay, or does your companion still take 3 seconds to move once you tell him to attack or switch targets?
  12. The inability to disable camera snapback has been one of the main issues I keep bringing up but usually doesn't get much attention if any. Another similar issue is companion responsiveness (your companion taking 3 seconds to execute your commands instead of instantly). I hope they allow us to disable camera snapback but the startling lack of demand for this issue makes me think it is here to stay.
  13. I have been here since Oct 2008 and this is one of the best threads I have seen. All of the features OP mentioned would be very welcomed by me. I think it is important not to overlook the smaller quality of life issues, which I feel Bioware has greatly overlooked. The one thing I'd add to OP's list is phased questing. Bioware took an enormous amount from other MMO's, but left out phase questing which is perhaps the one thing they should have not only stolen, but went full speed ahead with. I really hope Bioware does look at these forums for our feedback as much as they say they do, and I hope they see this thread.
  14. I cancelled my CE just days before release and I am now very glad that I did.
  15. The option is now in game but does not do a single thing. Hopefully it does sooner or later.
  16. I agree with OP's suggestions in the original post. It would improve quality of life in a big way.
  17. Thanks for fixing this. Now please fix companion delay: when I tell my companions to attack, or switch targets, it would be nice if they did so instantly instead of waiting for 2-3 seconds to take action.
  18. I'm glad that ability delay is being fixed and that the devs took the issue very seriously and acted swiftly. Now that ability delay is apparently getting fixed, I would recommend that the devs also fix the delay involved every time you command a companion to do something. The ability delay issue came up because players noticed how abilities worked in SWTOR compared to WoW. As such, I'd like to also compare companion lag in SWTOR compared to WoW. In WoW, when one commands a Hunter or Warlock pet to do something, that pet takes action instantly. But in SWTOR, when I tell one of my companions to attack a target, it takes something like 2-3 seconds before they are leaving my side to attack, or to switch from their current target to the newly designated target. This is frustrating to me and really slows down the pace of the game both when killing a single mob, as well as fighting groups when you need your companion to switch targets immediately. I can't think of a reason of why the lag would be there on purpose, so I'm assuming it's unintended. Please fix this issue.
  19. Still hoping to get an update, and ultimately a fix for this, as well as fixing companion lag (the lag which exists every time you command them to do something).
  20. Is there any update on this issue? I find it to be very frustrating.
  21. I've stayed more or less up to date with the ability delay issue but I am actually wondering about the delay I notice when I command my companions to attack a target. There is something like a 2-3 second delay between my command and when they are actually moving toward the target. It really slows down the pace for me which is a negative thing. Any insight into this?
  22. I know a lot of people are vain and like little things in the game like pets and titles, but is anyone who already cancelled (or will when the feature works again) really going to re-sub for this?
  23. I had similar thoughts. I can just imagine them setting around a meeting table, someone mentioning this idea, and then most (if not all) of the people in the room thinking this will work. This small example actually says a great deal about the culture at Bioware.
  24. After turning on AA in game, I noticed zero difference in frame rates, or change to the graphics at all after trying multiple different scenarios and locations. So I'm guessing that the setting is there, but AA is not working still. I5-2500k 6950 2gb
