  1. Umm start another character class and play through that content. Do all your companion quests. When will people realize that SWTOR is not only about getting one character to 50. The designed the game specially so that if you hit 50 you can roll up another class and get a completely different story line.
  2. 10/10 for Leveling It is pretty easy to pick up the game and start leveling. The story is fun and makes it interesting. It can also be challanging at times especially when you are in a zone to high for your level. Endgame - 10/10 This is just my opinion but I feel No MMO out there truely has any end game content. Raid raid raid, pvp pvp pvp is not truely end game. There is no feeling of progression when you are capped and only get loot or points. Rating this section low is unfair. I gave it a 10 because end game content wise i rate it based on doing everything the game has to offer and seeing the end credits. There are 8 classes, each of which have its own story line to follow up to 50. Each class has 5 companions who also have there own story line to follow. I highly doubt that anyone playing the game this early in has gotten 8 classes to 50, done every flashpoint and op, and finished all of there companion quests. At that point you have truely reached end game. Got a 50? so what roll another toon, play through the story and hopefully the level cap will be upped by the time you get all the classes to 50. and you can get your first character even higher.
  3. Umm not to knock it becasue its a fantastic game but if you have played Skyrim then this post really doesn't have merit. Skyrim has a dozen voice actors that do the voices for every NPC in the game and TOR has what 400. When ever I play skyrim during sever downtime I can't help but laugh and think to myself (wasn't this shop keeper the Jarl in whiterun)
  4. If TOR was being sold as a single player game like mass affect would people have the same opinion on it? As soon as the though of MMO and 15 dollars per month come into the picture people expect the world.
  5. My comment on being story based is to show that you can pretty much solo from 1 to 50 just following the story line alone. plus each class has there own. I hate to do it but look at wow, EQ or other MMO's for instance. They all have a main story line that the world is based on but this story is the same for every single class and player. If you create an alt on wow, with the exception of the new starting areas your story is not going to be any different and its all the same quests.
  6. Hello Everyone, Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to give everyone my 2 cents. There are a lot of people out there that are trying to compare TOR with a lot of other MMO's out there. This is all fine however TOR is not your normal MMO and here is why. Story Based - You have to look at TOR as an extension of the KOTOR universe. This game is very heavy on the solo content which makes grouping an option and not a requirement. Allot of MMO's make allot of core gameplay features group dependent. This is great in the aspect that I am paying 15 dollars per month for a single player feeling game that will always be update and will never end. It beats having to buy a 60 dollar game that will give me what 4 hours of game play. MMO misconception - A lot of people are thinking well its an MMO so the whole point is to group. All an MMO is is the fact that several thousand people are all playing the same game online at any given time. Grouping is an added bonus and not a requirement to an MMo. its nice to be able to meet people and group with friends and such but its not needed to make a game work. With the above said you must be thinking - What and I paying for - The money you pay per month does not go to the fact that its an MMO but the fact that the game is updated regularly, the servers are maintained ect. Please make sure you look at all the positive aspects of TOR before you go and say its terrible. I like to look at it as an interactive novel. You can go out and buy a book for 10 to 30 dollars that follows one story line or pay 15 dollars per month for 8 different story line (if you base it on class) If you are like me who pays 60 dollars per big release of single player games (Rage) 15 dollars per month is nothing. Especially if I can get more then 5 hours of gameplay. (those of you who include internet costs on top of this well most of us would have internet regardless if the play this game or not. So launch the game, enjoy the story. All MMO's have there ups and downs but TOR is defiantly unique.
  7. Yeah sadly alot of laptops running mobile addition Raedon cards do not allow the ati control panel. I have tested this on a windows 7 toshiba laptop and my mac book and it always says no supported card detected. I am stuck letting windows manage everything and I have not been able to find an AA override. It doesn't bother me to much almost everything I play has an in game option it would be nice to get it to work with tor though.
  8. Well I am running a HD 6750 so I guess I am out of luck then oh well. thanks everyone.
  9. Hello Everyone, So I read on the patch notes that Anti-alliasing is currently available in the preferences now. I took a look at the preferences section and was unable to find the option. Am I missing something? I have a duel boot mac book running windows 7 with an ATI card. Not sure if this option is specific to card or I am just blind.
  10. Umm try playing wow before mages and locks could port. Finish fight. Run to nearest town find griffon stand. Pay griffon stand to travel to junction point. Take another griffon to port or zeplin stand. Wait at set stand for 5 to 10 minutes. grab zepplin and go to other continent. Find next griffon stand take to junction point. Grab second griffon to get to major city. OH WAIT - Don't have proper flight paths. Well in that case run. At least with TOR travel points that are part of a quest are automatically available to you. Travel time in wow prior to ports could take 30 minutes plus to get from point a to point b. I have never spent more then 10 minutes in TOR to get from point a to b. TOR has been around for less then 1 month and their travel system is already far better then most mmo. Wow took years and an expansion or 2 to smarten up on travel. Oh and I forgot top mention. Traveling in TOR (Non shipwise) is free. P.S I want you to log into wow. Go into the middle of a Zone like north barrens. Mount up on your 100% mount (not fly) to the nearest town. grab a griffion and get to the first Boat or zepplin port. Then wait for the zepplin or boat to get to next continent. Get to next flight path and take griffon to first capital city you can and time it all. If you are gonna tell me this is gonna take 10 minutes without using an epic flying mount you have another thing coming. Once that is down log into TOR. Get to nearest flight path. take it to spaceport. Board ship and go to next planet. Dock. I bet this will take less then 10 minutes and space port to spaceport is no different then 1 city on one continent to another city on another continent in wow. Anyone who wants to compare WOW with TOR please get your facts straight before posting something like this. I played wow from beta and travel was absolutely terrible at first. Many years later then finally fixed it.
  11. Just my 2 cents here but any class/Character that has decked out level 40 gear is no better then a level 10 character who really knows how to play the class. This game seems to be very heavy based on class skill then it is gear. I mean my character still has all greens at level 37 and I have no problem soloing anything or hiotting people in pvp. I have been pvping since I hit level 10. Pvp has been scaled (non ilium) to allow all levels a chance. If i can't even hit an NPC 6 levels higher then me at level 10 but I can hit a level 40 no problem in pvp then it should not matter. With this I don't see an issue with the current brackets.
  12. Yeah we can have a Star wars holiday special all over again.
  13. IMO wow has done day night cycles and for me it did not change the immersion at all. It did not change what monsters spawned or anything. All it really did was tell me I was playing to long when it went from bright daylight to night. The only game I have ever seen make this count was everquest. making kithakor (forgive the spelling) forest very dangerous at night. it would be cool if they add it but to me will not really make any difference. P.S I don't know of any creatures in the Star wars universe that only come out at night.
