The max level is 50 atm 3-Do i get stronger if i have a lot of darkside/lightside tendency or is it just a story thing? Some items has something like "Need to be dark III or higher to use", but thats about it, its generally better to be either dark or light though, as neutral people dont get much love itemwise. 4-Can i transfer my character to another server once i get it into the highest level by paying with my credit card? Not sure, but dont think there is an option for this yet. 5- Can i access other items/starship/benefits by paying with credit card. there is some collector-edition specific vendors and so on, but nothing major. Nothing that gives you and edge against other people.

According to bioware, their hope is that there should be no "best healer class" and so on. So if you got a healer skill-tree, you should be good to go How good you class is compared to otehr healers may vary a bit from lvl 10-49, but at 50 all of them are supposed to be equal. (dunno if thats the case though)

Being one of those ex-hardcore pve/pvp players from wow i fully understand the system of making a pure pvp stat. Nothing is worse then running in with full pvp gear and being totally slaughtered by some1 with high end pve gear. Just because the gear he has is so much better then anything you could ever get from pvp. Saying that pvpers QQ about pve'ers steamrolling them is a bit funny though, as the pve'ers started QQing so much more when they couldnt go easymode in pvp anymore. Making a fair way regarding earning the same gear in both pvp and pve is close to impossible, so why bother? Easier and much more fair to have to different versions. And lastly, no this doesnt shorten the games lifespan. That could be the most stupid argument ever. Making the sets use the same stats only means that once you are done with one aspect of the game, pve or pvp, then you are done with both.

If you just started and havent played another mmorpg before you aint a noob. Just a newbie noobs are people that after getting experience and should have learned how to play still sucks ^^

Combat im not sure, but in imperial fleet im up to 50kbits

did some more testing, and i actually dont cross the 6kbits down and 2kbit up while cruising around illum :/

Netlimiter shows the game running at about 7-10 kps, so you should be fine.

with that kind of computer you should have no problems at all x) what kind of connection do you have? dsl? how many kbit/mbit?

sounds more like your computer is to slow then your internet connection. The blue thingy indicates that the game is loading.

when does it give you a black screen? right after you press play right after the first loading screen after you press play when you create a new char after you try to login with your char

have no experience what so ever with HIS, but would still choose anything over gigabyte so go for HIS ^^ dunno much about the card though, looks like you should be able to play the game pretty nicely with it. Noticed that asus has 2 ersions of it, one silent and one standard. if the same goes for HIS and Gigabyte i wouldnt go for the silent one, as fan-less cards usually aint great for gaming.

Have you tried using overdrive to manually set the fan on your current card to say 60%? That way it will hopefully never become close to as hot as a 104 or what you wrote. But if you are buying a new card i would go for Sapphire, had problems with 2 graphic cards and 2 motherboards from Gigabyte, so i generally dont like them (same story about sapphire for some1 else though im sure) Other then that it shouldnt really matter, both of the companies usually makes standard cards and leave the modding to xfx and asus.

Jedi sentinel / sith marauder - dual wields lightsabers, 1 in each hand. Endgame gear is usually hooded. Jedi shadow / sith assassin - double-bladed lightsabers, either go stealthy dude and backstab people or tank. Lots of hooded gear (sith endgame pvp-set aint hooded, jedi is) Jedi Guardian / sith juggernaut - single lightsaber, some hooded gear, can go as tank Only played sith sorc (same as assassin storywise) and i found the story to be really fun. heard that jedi shadow is a bit dull to start of with, but gets better towards the end. Sith marauder has a really nice story aswell. Remember not to play twilek though, as u cant wear hoods if you do

That slicing would have been by far the best choice of "proffession" the first few weeks, before they nerfed it

if you press ctrl + shift + f while ingame you should see your fps as some green numbers in your lower left corner

as far as i can see you should have no problems running the game with that hardware. Do you have fps problem while playing? or does the game just randomly crash?

I would go for a new gpu. Both ram and cpu seems to be well over what the game needs.

They do not have different stats, since bioware doesnt want those extra stats forcing you to play certain class/race combinations. Races will however get specific non combat / just for fun related abilitys later on. So feel free to play whatever you want.

sounds like its corrupted. did anything strange happen during the installation? have you tried right clicking it and run as an administrator?

you probably have a program running in the background that does some kind of satus-update or something. getting calls in skype minimize swtor as an example. Try shutting down programs you dont need from the autostart and then restart your computer. To change the autostart press "the windows button + r" a windows named "run" should appear. write "msconfig" without the ", and press enter. go to autostart and turn of stuff that doenst have to start with the computer. (things you should leave on is the anitvirus and any wireless software. most other stuff you can take away from the autostart.

and you have an active subscription i guess? the free month aint activated untill you add an subscription. Other then that it might be an idea to repair the installation. The cogwheel on the bottom left corner of the game client launcher.

No, you cant respec the advanced class choice. You can reset your talent-trees. But if u choose to be a sith asassin you cant respec into a sorcerer. as an example.
