  1. This is the equivalent of posting a classified in your local paper that reads "Please tell me there won't be any pee in the public pools". You have zero control over stopping it, but total control over it affecting you. Just don't use that nasty pool (ie guide).
  2. If the Legacy crafting is bugged I'd have to say it's affecting Cybertech but not Artifice. I also purchased the legacy crit crafting and use my droid with +5 Cybertech crit. It seems to crit one third to half as often as when I have Sgt Rusk (who has no +crit) craft Artifice items for me. I'm an optimist though so instead of suspecting Cybertech was bugged by legacy I've been theorizing that Rusk has a hidden +crit to Artifice crafting, he's a crit machine and has earned me millions of extra credits. I'm only offering anecdotal observations on daily crafting returns over the last couple months, I'm too busy/lazy to record this stuff. I'd be interested in seeing the actual math though.
  3. I'd be surprised if that were possible, non endgame items generally don't allow you to RE them for schematics. Still waiting for a response from BW, unfortunately we don't have enough angry, belligerent posters like most of the topics that get a yellow text reply.
  4. 1-49 crafting is what everyone in this topic is discussing.
  5. Unfortunately this is incorrect, they take twice as many purple mats to craft as offhands do and they sell for essentially the same amount. The only difference is when you crit (on hilts anyway) you'll make ~25% more selling 2 than selling 1 augmented offhand.
  6. Hmm this reminded me about the future requirements for obtaining HK-51. This would fulfill the mentioned level 50 and mid-level character for Republic players but not Imperials with a 50. Also the HK-51's ship crashed on Belsavis, a planet with a significant Dread Masters storyline for the Imperial side.
  7. How about enabling the new moods? It's a longshot, and none of them seem perfect but perhaps Alarmed, Awed, Discomforted, or Meditative is on the right track. As for the "only what you take with you" thoughts, has anyone dragged any mobs into the cave? I'm not so sure this is on the right track, but nothing should be discounted when brainstorming. The closest I can think of is the Cold Weather Equipment you receive when first arriving on Hoth (though I only received this on one of four toons, my BH I believe). It increases Elemental resistance by 10% for an hour (nice right). Torhead shows a stack of 10 but I only received 1.
  8. My apologies, I don't have an armstech and didn't consider the fact you are also losing a market. Rather than vibroknives you're reduced to only making the barrels for them. This is just as unacceptable as it is for artificers.
  9. You misunderstand totally. This has nothing to do with columi/rakata/campaign or any endgame gear. Nor does it harm Armstech, quite the contrary it will increase their barrel sales. Nor will competitive pricing help generate sales when total sales are at zero. I didn't think it was needed, but let me explain: Offhands used to have set stats, and were not modifiable. When you outleveled the stats you would purchase a new one. This continues until you reach endgame and crafters were then largely taken out of the equation. With 1.4 offhand items that can be modded now drop as loot. You can pick one of these up at level 10 and never need to purchase another again. Instead everyone will turn to Armstech for hilts, Cybertech for armorning and mods, Artifice provides the enhancements, and the usual variety provides the augments. There was plenty of competition and reasonably priced offhands before this change on our server, sometimes cheaper than the purchase prices of the crafting mats.
  10. Only artifice got to spend nearly a year spending piles of credits unlocking schematics only to have them rendered useless by one patch. Something similar (albeit temporary) happened once before when they put the Geologist vendor in. What crew skill did that affect? Artifice! I averaged 6-12 offhand sales a day during the last 6 months. Since 1.4 launched I've made exactly 1 sale despite keeping the same stock up. It didn't even slowly taper off, 1.4 just immediately killed the market. Are we going to be getting schematics or recipes or the ability to RE the drops? We need a response Bioware.
  11. This is about the new moddable offhands, as per the quote in my OP. I'm going to edit out the bit about hilts it seems to be muddying the subject.
  12. There are some odd main stat companions, my mistake if one of them isn't use STR like I thought. Still, Armstech benefits from a change to Artifice but artificers do not.
  13. I see no schematics, recipes, or any of the new drops that can be RE'd. Is it really your intended, conscious decision to EXCLUDE crafters from this new update to offhands? Are the drops at least limited or have you dismantled the player crafted offhand market entirely? I've invested millions of credits in unlocking all the best prefixed purple offhands items, I was looking forward to expanding that not losing my major source of income entirely.

  15. I misconstrued the meaning of this patch note myself. These tired eyes could've done with encounter in bold.
  16. This is some good but very basic grouping information. Could we get a response specifically relevant to this discussion? If you can't share the exact formulas how about a couple of general answers like: How much of a level difference are we allowed, and still receive a bonus to xp? At what level spread do we incur a penalty to xp? About 5 seems to be a reasonable (albeit generic) answer, we'd love a solid response to the above 2 questions. Thanks!
  17. As leader of a guild called eXploratory Corps I appreciate this topic, and aside from the museum it's all new info, thanks! We've discovered it's possible to get on top of many of the ships, skyscrapers and trams on Corellia: http://i.imgur.com/O4se7.jpg http://i.imgur.com/2xN8r.jpg http://i.imgur.com/UCNMu.jpg It's like the platforming datacrons, we call it Skywalking and it's provided dozens of hours of exploring entertainment. Challenging as well, the easiest ship to conquer is harder than any datacron and requires 2+ people.
  18. This. Slicing is extremely lucrative, even without gathering nodes.
  19. This is a good idea, I would use something like this for scheduling once it's completed.
  20. Remove same faction PvP. This takes on ludicrous heights when the same guild members are pitted against one another.
  21. Now how do we fly the blasted thing?! http://i.imgur.com/O4se7.jpg This is the XCorps Skywalking Challenge #2, no one was able to solve the first so we've made this one easier to find. Just go west from the Corellian starport. Again, we'll stream the solution Saturday night. If anyone on The Jekk'Jekk Tarr is able to solve it before then we'll give you something for your accomplishment.
  22. You're running out of time, we start streaming the solution in an hour! Final hour hints: it's in the NW of Corellia and it takes at least 2 people to get up there. No worries if you don't make this one, we're posting a new challenge later tonight. This one will be easier to identify but harder to get to.
  23. I might've given extra credit for the trolling Caesar line, so much sad and funny at once. SWG lost thousands of subs all at once back in December. But yeah the net loss/gain of subs currently for this game isn't going to be thousands into the negative.
  24. Have you collected all the datacrons? Actually miss the platforming minigame? Try our far more involved challenge! Identify where we're at in the following screenshot (easy part) then get there yourself (real challenge). http://i.imgur.com/2xN8r.jpg We'll stream the solution in a week. If someone on The Jekk'Jekk Tar solves it before then we'll give you a small reward for your accomplishment (a crafting request, magenta crystal or credits etc). We already have a more difficult challenge prepared, stay tuned! eXploratory Corps, exploring the digital sandbox.
