Dailies are decent for cash but that seems like work to me. lol On the other hand if you're lazy like me and dont wanna leave the fleet you can see what is selling on the GTN and make a boatload of credits through your crew skills. Once I figured out what was selling I had my companions and all my alts companions constantly queued up for missions or crafting something. So basically while they're all out working their tails off for me Im screwing around in warzones having fun and then checking my crafting queues between matches. Its nice to login to a pile of credits in your mailbox every day :-)

Im not going to lie its tough sledding starting out with recruit gear. You'll take your lumps early on but you will notice an improvement as you pick up BM pieces. If you regularly PVP it wont be long before you have a full set of BM gear. It nothing like it was before when you had to pray to the RNG gods that you didnt get a duplicate piece of gear but thats a story for another day. The grind for war hero gear is an even longer one but while you do that you might as well get yourself fully augmented. I know this requires a lot creds but despite what many think making money in this game is not hard particularly if you know how to work the GTN. So similar to what the above poster said some pugs will place you on a stout premade, other times you'll roll snake eyes and end up with a group of terribads, and then of course its a matter of you practicing your rotations and gaining experience. Its a tough road but it gets better. We've all been there.

So with that said I wouldnt get too carried away with picking up a lot of gear containing accuracy for 1 basic attack.

Yeah Ive been making a boatload of creds on those advanced neural augmentors when ive been able to get my hands on them. My slicing crew has been working around the clock on missions for these things. lol

Yall are absolutely nuts complaining about the profitability of armstech. lol Take a look at the GTN for prices on advanced overkill augment 22s. Synthweavers cant make these augments. Amormechs cant make these augments. Im hopping on the armstech train myself so I dont have to pay out the wazoo for power augments on my mara! So please do drop armstech so I have less competition in sales for augments.

It looks like contacting customer service is an epic waste of time judging by the feedback folks are receiving. I also submitted a CS ticket with similar issues & its looking like now I wasted a boatload of credits on correcting Bioware's mistake. Awesome

You wont be stuck doing only PVP on a PVP server, however, dont be surprised if you run into some folks in certain areas that will be interested in forcing your hand, so to speak, as far as PVP goes. ;-) This is another reason to get yourself geared up and experienced so you become a less attractive target.

Most folks are going to say to start now if you are serious about PVP. You will want to save up to the warzone commendation cap of 2k, at minimum, so that you can buy your BM mainhand weapon. Its already hard enough showing up to level 50 warzones in recruit gear so anything you can do ahead of time to help yourself is beneficial. Id also say to start now as opposed to later so that by the time you are level 50 you will know the warzones, your class, and how other classes work inside and out. Im sure others would agree and have more to add.

I like the survivability of maras in ranked warzones and I do quite well with the proper group composition.

This^. Im not gonna lie my nearly full augmented War hero Anni specced mara was an absolute wrecking machine in normal warzones last night. My burst damage may have been nerfed but my sustained damage on dots applied was absolutely too much for any healer to handle.

Oh yeah I can pretty much confirm it aint working right. My advice is dont take an augment out of your gear unless you absolutely positively have to right now. Hopefully they will fix this with a patch soon. I learned the hard way and ended up having to make another augmentation kit for a piece of war hero gear I had ripped an augment out of.

But inevitably there will be idiots who still think they can pvp in pve gear and opt to take the credits instead. lol

Im desperately trying to get some advice on what I need to shoot for on critical rating without the class buffs, stims, etc. I mostly PVP with my Anni mara. Ive done searches and have read my critical rating should be sitting at 30% unbuffed where others suggest it should be as low as 25% unbuffed because of the IA class buff you get. Is there any sort of definitive answer or baseline I should be shooting for so that I dont unknowingly go to far into diminishing returns? Thanks in advance.

Well I kinda liked rolling with Jaesa from time to time for a couple reasons. First, she's kinda crazy if you get her to the dark side with the stuff she says and she rolls with a double bladed saber. Other than that you're life is just gonna be much easier if you just go with Quinn. He's an excellent pocket healer when geared up.

I dont see why not either but you know thats not how its going to play out when 1.3 goes live. I mean recruit gear was stupid easy to get as you could get a full set after running all the dailies. Yet we continued to see folks in level 50 warzones with greens getting their faces bashed in. In fact I saw someone on the bastion as early as yesterday with 12k hitpoints. lol They didnt do the work then. What makes you think these same people will work towards obtaining a more viable set of BM or work towards augmenting their stuff now? Augmenting your gear, particularly if you are starting from scratch, aint going to be exactly cheap. This will also require time and effort. I just think its going to be ugly and we will see even more QQ on the forums. Then in patch 1.4 BM gear will be free at 50. Dont get me wrong I dont mind seeing these folks with 12k hitpoints in the warzones as long as they arent on my team. lol

Is it me or does it feel like 1.3 the calm before the storm as far as gearing goes? lol What I mean by that is the divide between folks geared and not geared is going to widen. I think you are going to see some massive damage numbers being reported more than ever in the coming weeks. Im envisioning teams with fully augmented war hero gear just destroying undergeared people in warzones. Im talking about "clean up on aisle 9" type wins. lol
