  1. Oh I know. I wasn't serious with the pot shot, I hope that was clear Hasn't happened to me yet, although I didn't pvp Wednesday night., I did Tuesday and last night on P5. I will add that since the transfers, I've seen a LOT more 4 man premades, especially from new guilds I'd never heard of before. Moreover, when I actually did 4 man queue last night, more times then not we were grouped with 3-4 from another guild (last night seemed to be I AM LEGEND night). So perhaps (?) there's something to your last sentence.
  2. Yeah, the main difference is you trade off some health and main stat but you get slightly more 'overall power' with the endurance minimized partisan pieces.
  3. They probably transferred to Pot5 after they queued. *ba dum bum*

Yeah, the folks at 55 who truly lowbie gank aren't exactly the top of their class at PvP to begin with. Unless they are there specifically to try and take over a base - and you're just collateral damage. That happens sometimes. Especially on Pot5, where folks try to make OP PvP work despite Bioware's bad engine.

Leveling is boring. Still, you can do it while you watch hockey/football/etc

It's that thing you do while leveling, when you've had enough of the lowbie warzone terribads. Besides, questing is faster exp then warzones anyway.

No. Suck it up. We've all been camped at some point in our gaming existence. It's easy to get past anyone. Queue for a warzone. Log off for a few minutes. Or, even better - go roll on a carebear server. Problem solved. My 2 cents. Moreover, I don't actively PvP on any of these lowbie planets. I find those who do willfully and repeatedly zerg lowbies to be skill-less cowards, but they are still entitled to be so on a PvP server.
  8. This is both correct, and incorrect. The same time argument can be made for PvE gear, the obvious exception is you can't really suck eggs and get gear. Ultimately, what you fail to realize is that MMO grinds have been here since the dawn of the era. They are put in on PURPOSE. Else we'd still be wearing our BiS Battlemaster gear. This overrides your silly inference of needing more sunlight, which is just an insult covering your own laziness. Having a RL isn't an excuse for properly gearing one character eventually. Self-entitled society, you fit right in with the root cause of the degradation of MMORPGs today. Again, a lazy self-entitled answer for someone who doesn't want to put the time in, and skip the standard MMO grind that Bioware INTENDS. The point in crafting is making gear for alts, making items for profit. This MMO is set up like every other major one - you RAID for the best PvE gear, you PVP for the best PvP gear. Moreover, you should realize that crafting is as much an afterthought as PvP is to Bioware. If it wasn't, you wouldn't see all the great designs get fed to the cartel market, instead of...you know...crafters. Any unintended (read: lolbolster) side effect detracts from these long term objectives. A dev himself (Hinkle) said it was never really intended for level 54 crafted crap to replace PvP gear 100%. He said the best PvE gear should bolster to approximately 65-70% of max expertise. Between that and the innate statistical gains, it made things reasonably balanced while still gives a modest edge to PvP gear. You don't see Bolster in raids, do you? it's crystal clear to anyone who's objective and can read Bioware's posts that the only problem with these level 54 items is the bolster on expertise. The rest of the statistical bolster is fine. Stop being lazy, stop being terrible, and earn your gear just like the rest of us. Less QQ, more pew-pew.
  9. Good to hear you guys are listening. If only you'd do that about PvP :<
  10. Finally something Captain Germany can make:cool:
  11. So Saturday night, where should I go when I log in? I mean I will probably be dragging a couple people from my new guild along with me. Are you coordinating through a specific channel/TS? Are you guys going to just open up the IAMLEGEND mumble?
  12. Thank you Eric. It seems to be based on current evidence, the team DID dial back the bolster compared to pre-patch, but just not nearly enough. Just dial back the expertise bolstered value, and leave the rest untouched (if that's possible). I don't mind them having similar/equal stats to partisan, but it can't have similar expertise too.
  13. Absolutely. Rift/Trion didn't have a choice. Well, I mean technically, they always had a choice...but they didn't REALLY have that option if they valued the remaining population of their game. It was never necessary for Bioware to charge for this. However, it's unreasonable (and this is just opinion) to expect they'd offer it for free, considering how much development time went into figuring this out. We can say that's their fault for using a bad game engine, sure...but the reality is, it cost them a lot to get this to work. I feel (again, opinion) that they struck a reasonable balance between just eating the dev costs for no ROI, and not gouging as much as people probably WOULD pay. I find the package deal of 3 for 40 beyond reasonable. The 20 for a single cost is OK, but really, if you just buy the 5500 cartel coins for 40 bucks you'd basically be getting your transfer and 3700 CCs - or roughly 37 bucks worth. Now, I will certainly agree that there's a section of this player base who refuses to spend any money on the game - and that's totally fine. Where the IP comes into this, is simply as I mentioned - BW had a reasonable option to charge for this, so to think they wouldn't is kinda silly. Now if they charged 25-30 bucks a pop? I'd be more annoyed for people about that. Really. I just feel they chose a good price point.
  14. It's a fine argument, you just snipped most of my quote away to serve your view. Then you're making an inference and claiming it's a counterargument. No. Just...no. All my comment implies is that, because Bioware has an IP that's popular they simply have the option available to them to charge for transfers. Rift never had this option, because when you only have 100k people at best for a sub base for your game...
  15. Yes they do. This is America, freeloader and self-entitled capital of the world. RIft lets you do it for free, because they HAVE to. No one stays interested in that game. It's a shame in a sense too, because it's not Trion's fault their intellectual property has no bite.
  16. Exactly this. They have their own inferior tech issues. Just different ones from this game. Suck it up buttercups, it's only 20 bucks to move one toon, or 40 bucks to move three. Go raid your daddy's wallet and get over to the server you want.
  17. You may as well transfer over now. This place just got way better last night, if early returns are any indication.
  18. Caliber of regular warzones last night was higher then usual last night for the few warzones I played. It's going to be fun.
  19. Its about the only thing they did right for PvP this patch. And THIS fix was a year overdue.
  20. even then, the best PvE gear (full set) should never bolster to much more then 1400 because of the stat gains they get. Bioware has said from the very beginning that PvE gear is not supposed to be equal or better then PvP gear. Bolster is just supposed to make the disadvantage more modest then pre 2.0. Once again, if PvE is king, and raiders get to be geared better then committed PvPers without setting foot in a warzone, then there's really no point for non-raiders to participate.
  21. Whats really sad, is we are comparing gear anyone on the planet can get with no effort, to the best possible pvp gear on the planet - and its basically a draw. The better comparison should be level 54 gear and PARTISAN gear. And partisan should still be better. It seems to me that the core problem with the 54 gear is it bolsters expertise too high. It should NEVER be desirable to get a noobie level item for PvP. It should be a temporary stop gap measure to not get steamrolled by geared PvPers. Level 54 purples should be losing a good 25% of their expertise versus a partisan counterpart. All else could then stay the same. PvE noobie gear will still bolster up to a grand total of 1500 or so, MORE then enough of a starting point. Some of you babies (no one in particular) have no idea how easy it is now, versus at the beginning. seriously.
  22. Come on people, you can't all be 'working' today
  23. Yeah but our clowns don't really go troll Bastion right. Although actually, that one night we downed Prop 5 with Cilas's PVP event on Voss, we rolled Bastion lowbies and did troll there. Until Bioware rebooted our server
  24. not pvp related, but fyi don't send your current companion on missions. When you hop off your bike, it autocancels the mission/crafting in order to return him/her by your side (instead of leaving you alone). I wonder if you can get around this by actually dismissing your active companion FIRST, then sending them on their mission/crafting assignment. That probably works.
