  1. The first talents in the Sawbones (healing) tree allow you to proc UH from healing abilities.
  2. The first of the animation/ability delay fixes are in 1.1, with further fixes coming in point releases (i.e. 1.1.1, 1.1.1a/1.1.2, etc) shortly after.
  3. You should partition your drive via Boot Camp and install Windows proper (natively). Parallels Desktop 5, whilst alright, isn't going to do favors for your game performance.
  4. No Flying Fists? No Round Two? Boggle. Try 3/31/7. It's a proven build.
  5. Mollify (Sawbones Scoundrel).
  6. This. Vanguards, being melee tanks, don't have a lot of CC. Your control is in your snares, roots and gap closers (Storm/Harpoon).
  7. Huge spoiler in the title. You should really re-think that.
  8. There aren't 7 pieces in a set. Just 5 (head/chest/gloves/legs/boots). The off-set pieces (belt/bracers) aren't part of the "set" proper.
  9. Nice work, Skrigg. Q: Have you tried a Storm/Gut spec? Not really any more ammo hungry than an EB Shield spec, unless you spam Gut, but you get similar up-front damage and a really useful long-duration DoT that's a winner for node cap interrupts.
  10. There's a thread about 8 below yours with a Vanguard PvP stream: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=137206 (he's pretty good, too)
  11. Nice work, Taugrim. Your PvP specs look solid; I agree RE: Counterattack being bad value too. If it had secondary benefit (more +def, or +shield/absorb) than the 3.8% or so mitigation it has now (for 5 points) it'd be worth another look. Energy Blast's sluggish animation also hurts it. I run a deep Shield (to Storm) + Gut spec that's very effective. Gut is absolutely fantastic for node defense since the long DoT interrupts caps in Alderaan & VS. Wouldn't run without it. As for PvE: 31/8/2 seems the logical spec to me. Get Power Armor and the DR talents, get Energy Blast (good in PvE), and Stockstrike +dmg from Assault. Maximise DR and your key threat gen abilities.
  12. Yes, for kinetic/energy attacks. Any Accuracy over 100% adds to armor penetration, not against defense. Defense is defense. Yes. Yes. Basically, at end-game PvE, you want defense > shield chance >= shield absorb. You will want to ensure you have 100% accuracy so you can keep your threat up (i.e. by not missing).
  13. Balmorra, Bugtown. The vendor is standing immediately inside the hallway that leads to the centre of the base.
  14. It's just meant to speed up PvE questing/add another ability. That's all. Other classes have similar abilities.
  15. PvE only. Incapacitated means stunned or knocked down. Does not work on elites or players.
  16. A 30/11 or 2x/1x (27/13, or 25/15) build is the way to go. Depends if you expect to do some light PvE work with the same build, but Gut > Energy Blast. DPS (burst) wise they're similar, but Gut has the LONG DoT (useful for node defense) + a much, much faster/more fluid animation. Energy Blast is anything but an instant right now.
  17. Your thread title is a huge spoiler in and of itself, especially with the (spoiler) text after.
  18. To those frustrated about Guard mechanics/visibility in PvP: that's changing in 1.1 to become more obvious, and you won't have to double-tap your Guard keybind to Guard a new player if they don't have Guard up on them yet. It'll just swap the buff to them.
  19. Won't happen in world/open PvP, ever. Unless said 50 is an amputee (and even then). I killed a group of level 35's on Alderaan when I was datacron hunting, and that was before I got any Champion PvP gear (just had l49/l50 oranges).
  20. VG is definitely very good. One of the few classes with a number of interrupts, which are key to keeping incoming damage down. Shield Spec is especially good; Neural Overload snare to keep them in close range/in melee when you want them, and it also helps set you up for Storm interrupts/roots if you need to. Riot Strike is your bread and butter against a lot of classes, and you've got Harpoon to prevent kiting (alongside the aforementioned Storm). I haven't lost a 1v1 on my VG @ 50.
  21. Run out of melee range when he channels his purple pulsing AoE.
