  1. Jedi Sentinel Watchman perspective: I never figured out the puzzle...got too annoying so I said screw it and went to take on the Emperor. I had geared T7 along the way with commendation droid pieces and slapped in better mods every 5-10 levels. It was decent gear and he lasted about 2 waves of clones. By the time T7 died, the Emperor was at 50% health and I was at full, so I decided to try the pillar thing, although it didn't seem necessary. I interrupted everything he threw at me just about and kept dots rolling + zen for heals, constantly keeping them going. I hit Pacify once or twice during the fight and never had to use any other cds. Didn't LoS with the pillars either after seeing them...not be very useful for me. Before I knew it, he had no health left and I was sitting at around 85% health...kind of stunned how he had died without much trouble. I had dreaded fighting him from all the reading I did on the forums about the quest. Did this about a month ago btw. Either way, if anyone's struggling on this quest, try Watchman if you haven't. The heals help A LOT.
  2. I always see humans, miraluka and the occasional twilek. Rarely if ever have I seen Zabrak or Mirialan...Mirialan especially.
  3. That's about all you get after finishing the last part of the story then moving on to Ilum for the dailies and stuff. Although...
  4. It's an okay build, but for PvE, some talents could be better spent elsewhere. This is the build I use: http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#501bIbRrRMcGzZhG.1 2 points can go wherever you want. I put mine in focused leap for 1 extra focus on the leap. Riposte isn't really worth using as Watchman unless you just wanna burn focus on it. I usually use it for Slash at best for that. You'll find yourself juggling so many abilities and generating so much focus and centering, it's ridiculous. So...I guess if you wanted, you could use Riposte. But I hardly if ever use it. Also, keep in mind that Force Leap can be used as an interrupt and having it on a shorter cooldown and usable at point blank range = 3(or 4) more focus + a second interrupt on a fairly short cd. I picked the accuracy talent because I hate missing key abilities like Cauterize and such.
  5. Is it me or does this place begin to drag on near the end? I mean I don't mind the whole stop the prison revolt thing and keep the planet stable bit...but...it's just...SO much stuff and even after stopping the top dogs it still feels like it drags on. That's how I feel about it anyways. I haven't had this feeling for any planet until now. Anyone else?
  6. Dunno if it was mentioned but send your companion in first(most likely Kira for you). She'll take the brunt of the damage while you start killin' stuff.
  7. My story songs in no particular order: Jedi Knight: (Voice actor has nothing to do with my choice of song...although it is a neat coincidence). Bounty Hunter: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob5N8j9dVCY Sith Warrior: Smuggler: Trooper: (No, I did not make a female Trooper and name her Shepard, but ME1 & 2 SONGS FIT SO WELL) Imperial Agent: Sith Inquisitor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hYpGDZ5sNM Jedi Consular: (Can also work for Inquisitor) Also, space battle music(seriously, try this):
  8. From what I've been reading, Tactics doesn't give out as much damage as Assault Specialist. Kind of makes me sad because I was thinking about going Tactics...
  9. This. Why people are so against dps meters and combat logs/parses I will never know. I personally want to know how I am doing, seeing everything laid out and showing what I was good at and what I wasn't good at. If I'm in a raid, taking up time from 7-15 other people, you bet I'll do my best to show I'm pulling my weight. I don't care how other people are doing, so long as the dps is acceptable. If they are lagging behind, I want to know why. I want to know what they prioritize or what rotation they are using and how it could be improved. Guesstimating doesn't help anyone. It's not elitist to ask for combat logs to see what could be improved. There's *ALWAYS* room for improvement. However, it's hard to tell when there are no logs to see exactly what things people did. You could have a dps Trooper spamming Grav Round until they are out of ammo and use Hammer Shot to wait for it to regen to full for all you know. But hey, the boss died after half a dozen wipes so it doesn't matter what the dps Trooper did, right? It's not like poor ammo management from that one trooper will cause a raid to end up taking longer to kill the boss(and/or add spawns) while said boss and possible add spawns do more damage, thus putting strain on healers to heal everyone, right? Like it or not, with or without logs, there will always be a best rotation/dps/whatever. You can't avoid it. Yes, there's the whole play how you want thing, but that changes drastically when you take up other people's time.
  10. It gets even better once you start using Overload Saber and Merciless Slash to keep Cauterize's dot rolling. The amount of centering you get's AMAZING! Not only that but it's especially awesome to put the dots up on an enemy and use force stasis to watch his health plummet.
  11. There are a lot of masks and helmets that overwrite hooded robes in this game. It's especially noticable on important NPCs. What's the deal?
  12. I have a black and dark orange hooded robe and I've seen both medium and heavy versions of it. Currently I have a non hooded version too that I use for conversations on my ship. ...I can't find it on torhead. I'll post a link to it whenever I find the name though.
  13. Alright. Seems like Full Auto and Explosive Round don't seem to be that useful for a Vanguard. I never find myself using those abilities unless I wanna mess around with enemy normal NPCs.
  14. As in, are there any abilities I should know about where I could just take them off my bars? I find myself not using some abilities as much anymore since going Vanguard.
  15. In the quick skirmish between Qui-Gon Jinn and Darth Maul, Maul had his hood up the whole time. Granted, he took the hooded robe off at the fight on Naboo...BUT STILL!
