This is the response the here in regards to PvP gear being lowered. So I am taking that people who just reached 50, expected their class to hold their own and win against 50's who have been there for a long time. Are you guys serious here? This would be akin to saying, being a level 50 I should be able to do nightmare EV and nightmare KP IMMEDIATELY?!?!?! So if that is the case: - Why do we have hard Flashpoint modes? - Why do we have hard or nightmare Operation mode? - Why do we need to farm them to get Tionese/Columi/Rataka gear? But before we go there, let's try this scenario: So say we had no PvP gear (so no BM/Champ/Cent gear at all), so it'd become a PvE gear situation. So are you guys telling me that a fully newly minted 50 would have some chance in hell against a fully geared Rataka/Columni/Tion Geared 50? If not are you going to lower their stats as well? And you going to lower the dps and enrage timer for the Operations for hard and nightmare despite that its already buggy as hell? Because this is going to be one big cluster *beep*.

My answers to all OP in regards to: Complaint 1: Need to Nerf Heals because its too much Answer1: Clearly you cant DPS, so I wouldn't want to take you on EV hard for that matter either. Complaint 2: Need to Nerf Damage because it is too much on X or Y or some other classes: Answer 2: Clearly you cant LOS or work out how to counter a class, so I wouldn't want to take you on EV normal for that matter either. Complaint 3: Need to nerf a class because its over used Answer 3: Clearly that you cant do all of the above, I wouldn't even invite you to Hard Modes, because it'd be too hard for you. Complaint 4: Level 50 hits too hard, hard to kill or wah wah wah Answer 4: Clearly you need to level up faster I play about 8 hours a week or less and gotten to 50 in 2 weeks, so clearly you been hanging around in the Space Station Procastinating. Is it my fault you cant work out a schedule in a video game to go from A to B? Complaint 5: Level 50's already has access to awesome gear to which new 50's have no chance. Answer 5: Clearly this player has no idea how end game works, and what they need to do to be competitive. So I wouldn't take him anyway, maybe to school to get schooled. ================= So yea, if you cant understand PvP I doubt you could understand PvE anyway. FACT: Expertise isnt THE END ALL OF LEVEL 50 PVP, its your gear, unless you tell me you have Level 50 blue everywhere (as in modded 50's blue items, not the 40 PVP badges) then you are sort of ready of PvP, as a DPS you WILL need to do a few things if you want to be competitive without the champion gear for now. They are: - Heroic Belsavis/Corellia to get epic level 50 mods from recommendation. - Ilum daily (both pvp AND non pvp) - Hard Modes (BT and False Emperor if you can find a decent tank and healer). - Eternity Vault (I had full blues from 48 as a healer and gotten up to SoA because the tank was a beast and easy to heal as well as the team doing well, but we lacked the DPS to down SoA for enrage). Sure do your current strategy but you can also do other things to get gear ready for PvP. DO NOT THINK for one second that 50's PvP with 6 champ gear straight off the bat, not everyone did, and as a 61 BM I still dont have a single BM token, though I have like 4 out of 10 pieces of Champ Gear grinding from 50 to 60. But I did have some Hard Mode Gear and I wasnt an easy target, AND I was kicking *** still without it, it just gives me a slight boost having it.

So basically what you are telling me is that since you failed PvP in the first place, you want to use your 40+ toon to wipe out the 10-39 toons like how the 50's face roll you pre 1.1. People that say that 10-49 is skill PvP, but in all the 10-49 pvp I been through: 1. No one has real tactics, its spam DPS fest because lets face it its more fun to get medals that way. 2. The 40-49's dominate this WZ now because they have the skills that the 50's had to dominate so meh. Bottom line is that 10-49 is a spam dps fest, its not skill based, its a faceroll fest for the 42+. Whats next make another bracket for 40-49, and 10-30, then all the 22+ toons are going to face roll the other bracket. Not that I complain, I just love how the whingers seem to whinge about anything and everything and Bioware accomodates that. I'm waiting for the next QQ so that everything is nerfed to level 1 and we just have auto attack in PvP only, then maybe I will call skill, just maybe.

*Sigh* I seriously hate some healers in this game. Its not the output you put out. Its the production of how you heal that puts you in PvP. If I get 400k to 500k healing myself I dont deserve an MVP. If I get 200k to 300k healing others which they visibly see, survive and win, then I DO deserve an MVP for being the assist, and they normally recognize that, and most times invite to their premade for doing a good job. So far in my Server I get normally 2 to 4 votes for my heals and cc. I dont get alot of medals (4-8 depending on how we're going).

I see multiple problems with this setup. Its to do with expertise gearing, but realistically if a lvl 10 - 49 complains about a 50 in champion gear, it really means he/she lacked PvP understanding. Its a slight advantage, but not a full advantage, and yes it means it'll take more ppl to kill them, but the reality of the case is that I have yet to see during the 10-50: - Where it was 8 50's vs 8 10'-30's. I never seen it, there is usually 1 or 2 50's on the latter side but this issue here is the fact it isnt balanced and there should have been an algorithm to even out the classes level. - Where @ levels 10-49 you cannot be able to 'properly' prepare to the 50's in at least starting Blue PVP gear, they removed it, what the hell, that PvP gear helped me kick *** against the champ/bm geared players, and in turn I have now a few pieces of champ gear (despite being a BM). - Where the newly minted 50's are going to find it an unhospitable PvP situation than the 10-49 because Bioware shielded these ppl from the PvP in the 50's. This should have not happened, if they dont know what 50 in champ gear is like they will never ever learn and will claim to be able to be Pro PvP in a non bracket game. Nobody really cares outside of SWTOR that you can PvP especially if its not level 50. - Gear != skill this is true, but skill != 10 beating 40-49, the 40's have all the advantages in full usage of skill AND gear (they dont get bolstered). People that think that the champ gear lvl 50 are indestructable are the ones that lack: - Understand of PvP mechanics (especially the resolve, focus fire, counters and gearing). - Lack of DPS rotation (its different from 10,20,30, and 40, you need to test and work out the best DPS rotation for you at those level). Where to go from here: There are a few choices but I think SWTOR has made about 20 wrong steps here and I fail to see what they will do to correct this. In the Server I am in Karth, ppl are bored, and when we do 50 warzone it goes quick. Most of the time its huttball, I cant complain too much about it but it feels that the 50's are being punished, and for what getting to 50, I mean I didnt try really hard to rush and anything I just enjoyed alot of PvP and the PvE and I'm being punished for enjoy the game too much that I need to like unsubscribe?!?!?!? I don't mind rolling an alt, but I should do that when I feel I accomplished much with my main, but I have yet to do alot of things with my main still and things to accomplish but to take a majority of my fun isnt the way to go, unless you allow transfers, or give me something fun to do that is similar to PvP (not farming).

So basically 50's should be punished to having extremely longer WZ queues for rushing it? Yea I spent like 3 weeks to get to 50 without rushing and I'm penalized for it. So if I start pwning people with my level 14 mercenary and doing 170k-200k+ dps should I also get penalized for it also? I hate to see what else people will come up with penalizing players who get to 50, oh wait most PvPers below 50's fail hard anyway my bad. As for tight matches I see that in Huttball the 42's are dominating it and premading it by just using their skills to get the ball to the goal line as quickly as the 50's. So yea this worked a treat too, whats next penalize them too?

If you have the un-ability to hide the 1 General Channel that's your fault. If you don't like the conversation, ignore them, you don't need to put an ignore list. You could create multiple chat panels for general chat, guild chat, party chat, announcements and etc panels. Just because YOU don't like the conversation doesn't mean OTHERS also don't like how the conversation is panning. If you are having class problems then go to the forums, they tend to be helpful there, unless you expect your class to be able to outdps/outlast/outanything over another class you "deserved" to be trolled to reroll. Personally this is isn't an all friendly place, there are people who are going to say what they want to say. What you want them to stop because you are unhappy? If we just listened to you, it'd become a monotonous general chat, and full of bore. Just cause you know how to be a 'gentlemen'.
