  1. All the time on my sorc. I'd strangle kittens for a cleanse on my sniper.
  2. Stims and medpacks. There's level 40 gear too.
  3. Thanks for all your work and generally good attitude. Good luck in life.
  4. I like it. I'm kind of jealous I don't get a skinsuit like that as a player. One thing I miss about SWG are my suits
  5. This is actually a really cool idea.
  6. There's a difference between damage and effective damage. I can post pretty scoreboard numbers on my sorc by just endlessly spamming weak AoEs into groups of players, but in reality all I really accomplished was gimping my team by prematurely breaking mezzes... and that's about it. All the damage I did was either useless or actively detrimental to my team.
  7. So George Zoeller has left BioWare. Daellia resub inc?
  8. Not really. It's less mobile, but you don't have to kite because we get these awesome things called cooldowns. If your initial position is strong then you don't have to shift around much. I already mentioned that cover can be a buggy hindrance, but only one of the trees relies very heavily on it (MM. Eng and leth are both less dependent on cover, with leth being the most mobile). The scaling energy regen mechanic is probably my biggest gripe, but my madness sorc was already perma-oom after a little bit of fighting anyways. At least snipers get a cooldown to help restore energy, and each tree gets it's own fancy way to regen energy. MM gets bonus regen in cover and an extra cooldown, eng can reset the cooldown snipers get by default and by detonating cluster bombs, and leth gets energy back every time you crit with a DoT. Sniper has all the tools to be an effective RDPS class with clearly defined roles. In comparison, it feels like I have no idea what my sorc is supposed to do and neither do the devs.
  9. Most of us rerolled sniper, yes. At least, in my experience. Lethality and Marksman have better in-tree synergy than Madness and Lightning, all three tress offer distinct playstyles and all three trees are actually worth speccing 31 points into. Cover is a buggy hindrance, but the class still feels more fleshed out than sorc. Even at it's peak, Sorc always felt like a half finished class. It was like the devs had this really cool vision for it in their heads but could never fully realize it or get it to work. Like, halfway through designing the class, someone panicked and said "This isn't going to work, change everything" but they didn't have enough time to do that, so they just tried to force what they already had done to fit the new vision. The result ended up being the directionless class that we're stuck with today.
  10. Agent story is pretty cool. Snipers are in pretty good shape right now, but cover can be a serious annoyance because of how buggy this game is.
  11. ^ Doesn't persist through death, just kill the guy.
  12. Welcome to an ELO system.
  13. Lol, look at all that clicking and backpedalling. No wonder players tore this game apart so quickly, their testers had no idea what they were doing and couldn't provide adequate feedback. :/ I really like that old UI though.
  14. Woman here. It really depends on aesthetics for me. For instance, when I played WoW ALL of my toons were male because I hated the female models and how gear looked on them. However, in games like Champions Online and City of Heroes, I had a much more even split. Those games were both famed for their character customization, so it was much easier for me to achieve the look and style I want for any given character whether they were male or female. In SWTOR, I'm the opposite of how I was in WoW. I can't stand the male models here. I hate how they look and move, I hate how gear fits them and I don't like any of the customization options I have for them. All of my toons are female.
  15. Whatever happened to JediDuckling?

    I knew it!

Kudos the BW for admitting they screwed up and not trying to sweep it under the rug. Still can't believe it was an actual GM. Always figured it was a butthurt player pretending to be a GM, like what would happen back in SWG.
  17. Because switching targets and repositioning is something only snipers can do. When I find a competent sniper/GS on my sorc, I just go around him. When I find a dumb one, I just kill him while hiding behind LOS. On the other hand, when I find a sorc who sits there and tries to facetank my sniper, it makes me all giddy.
  18. That wasn't a conspiracy theory, it was an insult.
