  2. Holy cow, if that time is correct (and it looks right) then you beat Jawa Rights Activists by 1 second! Cracking run guys.
  3. Thanks for being prepared to host this Death_By_Smiley, we had alot of fun on our first run and have enjoyed watching back some of the others who have posted so far. Respect to everyone who is willing to take part
  4. To echo what others have said, the casino event is just terrible. Ignoring the fleetpass/quicktravel problems and ignoring the fact that you cant exit the casino (does it mean my character has developed a gambling problem?) ... this casino event is just dull and its just not a worthy addition to the game. The game does not feel any richer or in any way more interesting for it, I don't feel my character is in some way better for it being there and its just bad that this is what passes as a large component to a major game update. To make clear im just talking about the Casino event, which frankly is development time that would have been far better spent anywhere else. Remember back before the game was released one of the things that the devs were talking about was how you were supposed to feel heroic in combat? We have gone from that as an aspirational development goal to the least user controlled experience in the game so far. Where s the feeling of agency that Bioware game are famous for? Just a terrible terrible idea.
  5. holy cow i had no idea... cant count the number of times I've been to Balmorra and not noticed it. You're a superstar, thank you very much.
  6. Im really sorry if this is well known, ive done a quick forum sweep and general search but my google-fu has failed me. Im looking for a piece of music that i *think* came in with Makeb. Its also used after the final battle in Dread Palace. You can hear it kicking in and playing during the Imperial Mekeb ending in this video: (spoilers for Empire Makeb story line obviously) its the music that plays out from about 3:10 through to the end of the clip. I don't remember it being on the original game soundtrack that was put out at game release but If I'm wrong please correct me. I also dont remember it from the KotOR or KotOR 2 Soundtrack but its been a while since i listened to that. Whatever it is, its a cracking piece of music so any guidance or suggestions on what it is would be awesome.
  7. Both you guys are awesome - thank you so very much for the help. I'm open to any more suggestion or tips if people have them.
  8. Hi all, A friend and I are leveling up together and i decided to roll a PT to be able to tank. I've been looking around on them interwebs to find some guides but alot of them seem to be a little old and potentially out of date. Is there an up to date guide somewhere that most people can agree on as being a good tanking guide for a PT? I don't mind learning my way into the class but I would like to do some research, that way if i rock up to a flashpoint I'm not an embarrassment. Also i did read and search on the forums here but it was hard to find anything as there is alot of noise about the class and DPS output. Have i got the wrong class? I'm only looking to be a tank and i'm never going to be the best in the game or anything like that. Many thanks to you all in advance for help and guidance.
  9. Absolutly +1 to this. I don't personally see a big downside to doing it.
  10. its not just you! me and some of my guild mates have had it alot. Its a proper pain when it happens on the platform stage of Soa
  11. i thought the male IA voice was excellent across the board. I liked him dropping into a soft american accent when he was playing a role, thought that was as good as his normal Imperial/British. Female bounty hunter (grey delisle?) she was great as well - suited the money driven mercenary imo. The Male SI - seems pretty good... but hes got a very deep voice and my SI is a tiny chap so the voice doesnt match the character to some extend. Thats as much my fault i suppose Male Warrior im a little disappointed by. The actor is good but i was expecting some deep booming voice. The character is based off Darth Vader after all, i was hoping to have some guy whos voice rattles the bones of everyone in the vicinity whenever he speaks. Male Jedi Kinght - suited to the role but my conversation choices and the character itself dont really give the VA much of a chance to shine imo.
  12. battle of Ilum is not too bad - leads into false emperor which is sort of the climax of the release content. Directive 7 is so dull, it just feels like so much trash mobs and every fight is just a grind. I will say that i agree with op, i seems there is no divergence in flashpoints later game. The early ones gives you a choice that affects how the flashpoint plays out - they both also feel like they fit into the story at a certain time. Everything just is a bit too linear. I do like that there are flashpoints that have their own running story between them (the empire and republic specific pair of flashpoints) but even they at their core are just linear grinds.
  13. I prefer mumble for reasons that others have given in the post. TBH they both work so pick one and go with it.
  14. looks good on paper but i can only really say once i have been able to try myself.
  15. Keep the chuckle but make it toggable by the player. Playes can turn it off or make it so others cant hear it (or leave it as is). I get no end of grief from guildmates about it as it pisses them all off - but its a useful tool to have.
  16. i have to admit i wasnt sure when i started out on my soc but he turned out to be rather good. Pipped by the IA actor imo but otherwise hes in my second spot for the best player VO of the game.
  17. So do i but there isnt any (yet) ... all we can do is advise the OP on what to do until server transfers arrive.
  18. i was chatting to a few people last week who had recently started new characters having left their old server and they were saying that having an active server makes a massive difference. They both said that seeing the Looking for Group spam for flashpoints spam in fleet was like a huge relief for them because they didn't have to wait for a few days to get a good group. Presumably you have some time on your sub left - maybe spend it by rerolling on a new server (check for the busy ones in your part of the world before choosing obviously). If the new server's activity isnt good enough for you then lets your sub lapse. As with most games its more about who youre playing it with alot of the time -> i know alot of people might disagree with that thats just my 2p. EDIT: this site has a good activity log and shows the busiest servers: http://www.torstatus.net/ hope that helps! Do have a proper dig around that site before picking a new home though, dont just use the top 20 list on the left. Check the overall population for your geographic region.
  19. IA by a long way. BH is ok but sags a bit in the middle - good few twists at the end. Inquiz is ok so far (im into chapter 2) but it hard to not be dark side all the way on the inquiz. Also inquiz i havetn so far felt a sense of urgency that i did with the IA and the BH. IA made me stop and think (an i mean REALLY think). I didn't pre-decide that i would go light side or dark so, i played the pragmatist or the professional and im so very glad i did because the story plays to that. The only downside with IA is i found some of the the companion characters a bit dull. Warrior i cant speak for at all im afraid.
  20. "I have felt him" - Darth Vader episode 5. Although technically there will be times that for some people this phrase may be appropriate
