  1. I'm fairly certain this was recently discussed (but haven't searched for the post). Check your cartel item stash. You may need to claim the item you just purchased. Most items then end up in your inventory after being claimed, and then you have to click on them to use them. I think that species unlocks are applied automatically after claiming.
  2. I believe that all of the Flashpoints that have a story based solo mode (with the purple triangle) are on the fleet. (Except Ilum, as that story begins on Ilum itself.) The droids that are scattered around planets that have the flashpoint quests have regular yellow quest icons (but *not* exploration quest icons). They will always be located immediately adjacent to a taxi terminal, although it will not always be the first one you come across. I'm thinking specifically of Republic Taris. The FP droid is next to Waypoint Station Aurek taxi terminal in The Sinking City. For the Hammer Station flashpoint specifically, the droid is on a platform next to the Senate Courtyard taxi terminal on Coruscant.
  3. Do we still get the option to create one "boosted" character with a subscription? Have you created any characters yet? Have you already created a boosted character? I think you can only do one of those free. I know this seems counter-intuitive (since you are posting on these forums, the forums, at least, think you are a subscriber), but when you look at your account page on this site, does it state you are a current subscriber?
  4. Did you start the Flashpoint as part of the storyline/breadcrumbs quest? (This would be in purple text.) Or are you just running this solo as a stand alone? This may affect what's happening. It does indeed sound like it tried to switch you to a different mode. I would recommend exiting the FP instance, deleting the FP quest, and then *resetting your phase* (right click your portrait to find that option.). Then reacquire the FP quest and try again. Note: Do *not* delete/abandon the purple quest, if that's how you got there, as I do not think you can reacquire that.
  5. Another interesting point. The very center of the western part of Ilum (where the Gree event takes place) is open world PvP. If you enter that area, you will be automatically flagged for PvP. However, you do not need to enter that area to do all of the PvE quests. The two PvP quests mentioned above *do* take place in this area. In an odd turn, even though this center area automatically flags you for PvP, you cannot complete the two PvP quests by entering this area while in a PvE map instance. You must switch to the actual PvP map instance to complete these other two quests.
  6. There is none. You encounter T7 *immediately* upon starting Chapter 2 of KotFE, although it doesn't become available as a companion until later (for everyone).
  7. That is in direct conflict to the statements and intentions of the *gulp* "Play Your Way" message for Onslaught. And it hasn't held true for me. I have been getting progressively better gear from Veteran Flashpoints, currently sitting at 296, I think. To the OP, remember that several things can affect your gear drops. Mainly it's your *overall* iRating. But I've also found that if you have even one piece of lower iRated gear, it can screw with the drop level. I've followed the advice of others; spending the Tech Fragments to upgrade the two to three pieces of lower iRated gear. That has usually given me the "bump" needed to start getting upgrade drops again.
  8. I was thinking this as well. IIRC, the "Captured Padawan's" bonus quest is attached to the quest where you rescue those three Padawan's in the SE corner of the map. The bonus quest doesn't automatically show. You have to click on one of the cages to let out a Padawan, and then it should show up. This is all from memory, so may be incorrect. However, I know there are *some* quests which display their bonus quest automatically, but most work as described above.
  9. The answer is "no." No such setting exists. But I understand what you mean. My recommendation would be to make a new chat tab that only displays one chat option; one that is really never used regularly, like Ops Officer chat. Before you start the cut scene, click on that tab. The chat window should fade and not be activated.
  10. I discovered the grey issue, too. It appears that with 600-700, the open world harvesting nodes are not sufficient to get you all the way to 700. I too capped at 680 this way and had to run archaeology missions to get to 700.
  11. If the item rating of 270 on your equipped head slot is indicative of your overall iRating, then the resulting equipment would stay green. The color of equipment is now tied to it's rating level (at least with 268-306 gear). Level 270/2/4 gear is all green. True, but I would argue that with 6.0, the Tech Fragments you get from deconstructing the equipment are worth far more than the extra Renown you would get from disintegrating it. If one accepts this statement as true, then not being able to see the equipment stats is a bit moot.
  12. A bit melodramatic. You can recreate. But yes, that has existed since launch and is "working as intended." No activity in character creation triggers the "activity" trigger, so you have the same amount of time as if you were standing still on the fleet (or anywhere), doing nothing. Mouse clicks in and of themselves don't count. IIRC, you can still click in the chat window and chat and if that's all you do, can still be logged out for inactivity.
  13. Was this your first purchase with them? I ask because if in a previous purchase you had them save your payment details; and then on a subsequent purchase you uncheck that box, it does not negate the previous decision. They would still have your payment information from that previous transaction saved. Unchecking that box does not retroactively remove your payment information from their database. Might not apply, just a thought.
  14. Understood. I figured that was the cause. But I've run this same Heroic countless times with the same companion. Something changed there. Probably has to do with what they changed to help fix the companion following bug.
  15. I've run this Heroic countless times on my Jedi Knight with Kira as companion. Ran it yesterday. I engaged Kovic and after about 5 seconds, he activates a push-back ability. Instead of being knocked back a few feet, I am launched outside the door (through the forcefield) and am unable to re-enter. Fortunately, Kovic ran after me and after crossing the door threshold, reset; thereby dropping the forcefield and allowing me to re-engage. Which I did. Positioned myself on the opposite side so I wouldn't be pushed through the door again...except I was. I was *facing* the door, with Kovic between me and it, and when he activated that ability, I flew *forward* and out of the door again. I ran back in and it was then that I noticed Kira was simply standing at the door. She never entered for both fights. I dismissed and re-summoned her, then re-engaged. This time, when he activated his ability, I just got pushed back the few feet like normal.
  16. "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
  17. I admit, I lol'd. (The first one is right, btw.)
  18. Possibly the lowest priority bug ticket that exists; but thought I'd post it just the same. I've found that ever since Onslaught has launched, the ships that occasionally fly by on the server select screen have lost all texture. They are still whatever base color they were/are, but are simply a flat shape with that color; along with engine boosters. Those are apparently rendering correctly.
  19. From what I understand, the only time this would occur is if one player is of significantly higher level than the other. However, since you mention you both created new characters (presumably at the same time), I cannot think of why this would happen. Are you still on the starter planet? Are you not receiving xp from killing mobs, completing quests, unlocking codex entries, unlocking/exploring map areas? Is it specific activities or you are not receiving xp for anything, anywhere, at any time?
  20. You don't take the taxi at all. I'm speaking of an object on the platform *next* to the taxi. Don't talk to the taxi NPC. There is little pedestal off to the side. (Note: It's bugged in that it does not glow light blue like a clickable object should, but you can still click on it.)
  21. You have to travel there from a clickable terminal *next* to the Junker's Junction taxi terminal. Don't take the taxi terminal itself. Hopefully if you haven't finished the quest, that terminal is still clickable for you. Good luck!
  22. Just to flesh this out a bit more. For the most part, you can go wherever you want whenever you want. That isn't always advisable though, as you could enter into areas meant for a much higher level. Some planets (I'm thinking perhaps Zakuul and Iokath, maybe even now Onderon & Mek-Sha) are story gated, but all "vanilla" planets are accessible as soon as you get your personal ship. You simply need to access the galaxy map and find it. As the others suggested, you can either do that using the interface on your personal ship, or you can open the "galaxy map" menu, typically located in one of the menus at the top of the screen. (Unless you have reconfigured your UI.)
  23. It's unfortunate that this patch does not seem to be addressing the issue with gear not dropping for the proper spec/loot discipline. I'm not currently affected (both of my mains are tanks), but it seems to be a fairly major/core issue tied directly to the primary system level change that came with Onslaught. And it's been a fairly hot topic here on the forums.
  24. Looks like this was addressed in the patch notes for tomorrow. Really makes me wonder if it will also apply to Makeb. I'll have to check that out.
  25. Yes, good point, Trixxie. I keep seeing instances where it's now necessary to clarify answers between pre-75 and at 75; as with the recent changes; the answer may be different. I'm wondering once at 75 though, what will be the preferred focus. Would I still want to keep pushing up Endurance on everything (crystals, augs, etc.), or will there be diminishing returns where it makes sense to shift to other priorities. I still haven't dug in too deep here, I'm still working on the grind up to 306.
