  1. This is awesome! The quality is great too. I plan on getting the Jedi Code tattooed onto my side (in aurebesh) with probably the Jedi insignia behind it. Can't wait. Nerd tattoos ftw!
  2. There's a huge difference between trash talking your friends and trash talking strangers. Your friends know you and know your sense of humor; strangers do not. Most trash talk between strangers goes way too far, in my opinion, regardless of gender.
  3. If the traditional keybindings are difficult for you to use, I think your best option is going to be using the number pad. Otherwise you might look into a keyboard that has all the extra macro buttons on the left side, like the Logitech G15 or the Corsair K90 (Corsair picture here). The only other peripheral that might help you is the Razer Nostromo. I know I didn't help you with keybindings specifically but maybe those accessories will be able to help you.
  4. I echo what everyone else has said. 1) Make sure your gear is as close to lvl 27 as you can get it. 2) Make sure said gear has the proper stats for your character (heavy armor, strength, endurance) 3) Your lightsaber is probably the most important part of your gear. 4) If you have modification and enhancement slots on your gear, fill them in! 5) Which companion are you using? I don't remember which companions the Jedi Knight has available at that level. 6) Last but not least, make sure you are in the correct questing areas and you aren't trying to tackle Heroic 2+ quests on your own!
  5. I played on a high pop WoW server for 7 years. A Day 2 launch server that was the recommended server to oceanics before they made oceanic servers. A launch server that was only ever given a free transfer once that no one really took. The queues died down, and the high activity on the server was well worth the wait for me. Of course it will be up to you if it's not.
  6. I'm getting my information from Stephen Reid's twitter, who is a senior online community manager. If you want to leave, then go for it; you have to decide what is more important to you. Crazy queues at launch with the occasional queue when new content is released while having a very active, lively, healthy server... moderate queues at launch with the seldom queues when new content is released with a moderate community... no queues at launch with no queues when new content is released with a ghost town of a community.
  7. It usually takes people about a month to decide if they're going to stick to an MMO or not. Most other MMOs have had the same thing happen, but it's been practically proven that these servers with the worst possible queues end up being the healthiest servers post-launch.
  8. Swiftsure will not always have a queue. They are going to increase the population caps on servers with consistently high queues.
  9. 1. Character name and server name? Played since Vanilla, mostly on Aggramar US-PVE and a little bit on Arthas US-PVP. I played on Aggramar as Redken and on Arthas as Nozze. 2. Why did you leave WoW? Cataclysm wasn't what I wanted. My server community was dead, Blizzard was going to make it worse with Looking For Raid, and the guilds I had grown attached to on the server were disbanding. None of my friends continued to play and I knew I was going to play SWTOR anyway so I quit back in May. 3. Are you going to play SWTOR for the long-term? Definitely plan on it! I'm a BioWare girl and in love with the Old Republic Star Wars era... (Star Wars in general too, heh) so even if it's not as popular as WoW, this is my new home.
  10. I encourage you guys to stick it out for about a month. I know it's hard, but once queues die down and more servers open up and the population caps are increased, Swiftsure will be one of the healthiest, most liveliest communities out there (same goes to any other server in this same situation).
  11. Some old MMOs let you keep your beta characters for launch, that's why this question comes up I think. Anarchy Online and LOTRO let you keep your testing characters. But yes, TOR beta characters will be wiped for launch.
  12. Awww I love Corso... I'm a sucker for the southern thing.
  13. I suggest products from Razer or SteelSeries. The Razer Naga is a very popular MMO mouse. I use the SteelSeries Cataclysm mouse and I like it quite a bit, it's just a rather large mouse (which is funny because I'm a female with small hands... I get teased about the mouse all the time, lol). For headsets, I have my eyes on the AstroGaming headsets. These are the ones that the Frag Dolls use and condone, and I've heard nothing but good things. I had the Razer SC2 Banshee headset and while it was the most comfortable thing I've put on my ears, it constantly went static and would blow everyone up in vent. Maybe I got a faulty one, but be wary.
  14. The Sith are, by canon definition, evil (those guided by the Dark Side of the Force at least). The Jedi are, by canon definition, good (again, those guided by the Light Side of the Force at least). The Empire and Republic as a whole, on the other hand, will sway between the two. In World of Warcraft, neither faction is good or bad; it's more up to the individual.

    Which server

The Swiftsure consists of both pre-dominantly American and Australian players. It's a PVP-West server.
  16. No. If you look at his follow-up tweet, he had greater concern for those who were having PROBLEMS even redeeming their codes to be able to play the game at all. Those asking if they get Early Access or not don't have a "real" problem... they're just excited / impatient for their e-mail.
  17. Brad Pitt isn't expected nor required to interact with his fans. It's a bit different...
  18. I can appreciate the guy's honesty. If you guys ever look through his feed and see the rather harsh verbal abuse this guy gets... this tweet was waaay calmer than is deserved. Any WoW players remember Tigole? This community can stand for someone like that.
  19. Not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but this game belongs to BioWare... not Turbine.
  20. What's interesting is the current ad on the community news page actually says... "Pre-order now and play before 12/20."
  21. Yeah, as I said, I found what you were talking about. Unfortunate poor wording on the big men's part, because using that word they will be doomed by anyone who didn't already know the game was set for December 20th.
  22. Your reading comprehension fails. Right on their front page all it mentions is early access. Stephen Reid only mentions early access. The SWTOR twitter account only mentions early access. Please show me where it specifically states LAUNCH is the 13th instead of the beginning of Early Access. Edit: I do see where the welcome message says launch. This is the only place I've seen it say that. Everywhere else, including the countless e-mails they use to keep in touch with us, have said otherwise.
  23. The game isn't out yet. This is early access. Please wait for December 20th before you want to say the game is unplayable during launch.
  24. I know, right? No one seems to remember how WoW's launch went... No early access at all and the game was basically unplayable for the first week with the servers constantly crashing. Yet somehow this game is having the worst launch ever. It's kind of entertaining.
  25. This is $5 that they were going to get regardless if you purchased the game. They are not getting any extra money out of the pre-orders other than people trying to "steal" play time with Early Access. No where else have people been able to play a game to "try it out" without paying for it first. Just saying. Edit: Other than free trials. Feel the need to put this here before people try to be clever and bring it up...
