  1. People have been asking for chat bubble since early beta ... at least for the option to turn them on if you want to. And theyre still not in game. I find it breaks my immersion in the game to have to keep looking up at the little chat window rather than at chat bubbles on screen for conversation. No clue why so many games refuse to put the option in the game. Suspect they have no interest in the social aspects of game... or have no experience with social or RP mmos.
  2. Funny you should mention gold farming. In AION EVERYTHING cost a fortune... and some of the gold-sellers actually bought gold directly from the game company... so EA had a reason to keep prices high. Funny how it will cost you 600k total to reduce your travel time by 5 minutes... etc. Especially when they completely remove cash rewards from warzones... If you want to make game fun don't raise prices and lower earnings so I now have to work much harder to get the same things I could get easier last week... Add new things maybe? Like... CLOTHING CHOICES...???
  3. You cared enough to reply. Thank you :-)
  4. Agreed. You should get a bonus for winning. Especially if you help with the mechanics of winning and don't just sit in a warzone killing for medals. But that bonus should be valor and coms. However... giving someone with 8-10 medals as I had over and over today only 40 coms even when you loose in a close match is pretty demoralizing when youre used to getting 100 coms even in a loss... as in before the patch. Also... for the non-PvP-ers like me who have had a lot of fun in warzones in this game... you just killed warzones for me. Especially by giving us 0-300 credits per warzone. I play for fun but want a reward. Or whats the point. I don't care about the xp... it's way too easy to level here as it is. But when you take away the feelgood rewards and make it impossible to survive and pay for your skills by warzoning... youre hardhand pushing me into the quests I'm tired of doing... give us a choice. Give us fun back.
  5. This is a comment about how the changes in warzones have affected the way I play my game. It is not a lecture on how YOU ALL should play YOUR games. This is just how I have been affected... Played with my level 35 sorcerer and 35 assasin and level 25 BH today in multiple warzones on Frostclaw...PvE server. My guys died much faster and much more often than usual. And I have a pretty good feel for warzones as I play them at the below 49 level a lot. Since I play 3-4 of my characters in the daily warzone mission...I need to win one. And often that takes 2-10 losses before the win on Empire side of things. Usually I would get 60-100 coms and 1500-3500 credits per warzone in the past. I loved warzones and the money was comperable to what I earned questing. I could choose to wz or to quest and would have enough to pay skills and some mods etc. I have played a lot more warzones lately as I have done the quests too many times and am bored by them to some extent. (Especially the quest lines they refuse to allow you to cancell... I don't like to pick up new quest lines any more cause I feel I will be forced down a line I have done several times and have no choice but to spend 3 hours finishing.) Anyways, today I got 40-44 wz coms each instance and 0-300 credits. That is not enough to pay for skills or basics of any kind. So I will now have to WZ AND mission to make money. And doing both will take a lot more time... and it will level me way too fast. I enjoy the fun at lower levels... but BW youre pushing me out of warzones to quest in order to pay for my skills. I have done those quests way too many times already and I wont quest AND warzone. But I can't financially survive on just warzones... so the fun of choosing how I level some of my characters is now gone... I will need to give up the warzones. Besides... you have to do 2x as many to get the coms now so forget that... I play to have fun not to be forced to grind even more than before. And please don't tell me my high level can do dailies over and over and over every day to pay for my low alts... I can't stomach the grind... to me warzones were fun and not a grind. But they have just flipped from being fun to me walking away from them...
  6. Seems another great idea by people who are great single player game developers but who are completely out of touch with mmos. In LotRO there is the same feature but you dont use it with your alts... for what is the point of roleplaying all by yourself when noone else can even see what you do... In LotRO you make 'families' out of your friends and guildies where you can actually play, RP and socialize with real people. Social features is something almost completely lacking in this game. Socialization is what ties people to a game for the long haul. You get attached to other PLAYERS and CHARACTERS and social parts of the game... this includes activities, festivals, having to interact with other players for crafting, sales, and perhaps even just blatant hot and heavy partying. Something this game could use... a reason to interact with others. Let me make a tailor for clothing... a barber or cosmetics skill to change looks of my friends avatars... lets have dancers buff you or change your skill trees a bit above and beyond whats in game now... just a few ideas. I want more of a reason to stay... and reason to play... and to PAY my sub.

  8. Agree completely with all the above. I am pretty crushed that were 4 months into the game and the clothing choices are almost non-existant. Dressing up in a variety of outfits as the mood strikes is one of the things I love about playing these games. It's sad that you see so many people in game all looking identical. Even hardcore players often care very much about customizing their looks. I very much want appearance slots so we can wear armour and the look we like on top of it to be seen. Problem is, there is nothing in game to wear besides your limited choices. Not asking for the 1000+ combos you could do in SWG. But this recycled color matching we have now is a very poor development... yes it's better than nothing... but comon guys... you have artists on staff, right?
  9. Wait... so you are saying that nothing about PvP game needs to be fixed? That people who complain are all poor players and have no legitimate issues? Just trying to understand here....
  10. There seems to be an imbalance between Rep and Imp side, with more Imp players. My feeling is that there are bonuses and rewards offered by BW for players to roll Rep. Some of the professions seem to be a bit... boosted in power on the Rep side. The WZ bug where 12 can group on their side and only 8 on Imps is not fixed etc. I play exclusively Imp. That is because I have fun doing it... and was forced to choose a side. There is little reward for me also playing Rep as I cant trade and share crafts etc between my characters. If I could play Imp and Rep on same server and share my resources between characters I'd play both. So would many of my friends. As it is now we choose a side and stick with it for crafting and equipment reasons. (Yeah I know many of you play both, but its much less than it would be if you could freely even just communicate in chat with your friends in the other place.) And in this day and age... you can't chat with the opposition players in tells? What does that help? If anyone wants to spoil all they have to do is communicate in vent or teamspeak etc. Segregating sides... including chat is pointless. And does more to damage game than help it.
  11. If *I* was the common issue at my low level causeing the loss of approximately 10 wz every day I'd say the game has a lot bigger problems than were all aware of lol.
  12. I'm an Imperial player on Frosclaw. Was an attacker on the Voidstar WZ instance. I had just planted a device on the left door (left as you face both doors from spawn point) and I stepped back and looked around. There were 6 green tagged teammate players fanned out behind me protecting my back. Not a red tag in view. I quickly camera'd back to the device on the door so I could see it and a good part of the area around the doors. We stood like that for about 10 seconds....still not one republic player in view when suddenly the notification flashes accross the screen that the device has been defused. Not one red tagged player was seen and I had my camera ON the purple planted bomb device on the door the whole time. So had several other players. How was the device de-fused without a republic player visible to all 7 of us standing around the door? And our door was the only one with a device on it. I am frustrated loosing 4-6 times more matches than I win. But I have just dealt with this and accepted that there are unbalances in the system that I do not understand. I have accepted hard won daily wins from daily PvP missions not regestering on almost a daily basis too. I have accepted that many people don't care about winning a wz as there is no benefit to winning it, you get more benefits by playing selfishly than as a team. There should be more benefits and rewards linked to win-related actions especially in Huttball. I have accepted that as I choose to play solo in warzones I am at a disadvantage over people playing on guild teams. But I was hoping that this would balance out with all the other solo players on either side in a WZ. But the losses, the bugs and other issues make it almost depressing to queue up these days... if I loose warzones a huge portion of game will go for me.
  13. I play on Frostclaw Imperial side and am an average, rational, mature, patient player. Know game has a long way to go but it's been a lot of fun til now. I have generally loved warzones and am pretty high level in valor on all 3 of my characters. I have played in a lot of warzones with my level 29 sorc and level 29 assasin and level 38 jugg. Sometimes I'm out levelled, sometimes its painful to play and sometimes its a great deal of fun. Group combo on either side has a lot to do with it...the luck of the draw for that instance. Recently (Last 2 weeks) I end up playing approximately 4-8 games for one win. More than half of what I play is NOT Huttball, so my loss/win ratio is linked to faction. Why do I loose so much more than I win? Are the republic players better? And why are they? Or are there more of them? Or do they tend to play in guilds more and so are more organized? This is no longer a random issue. If it was random I'd not loose a LOT more than I win. All sides would be equally good or equally motivated etc. It's getting demoralizing and I just am looking for understanding of how warzones work. And if you add in the supposedly fixed Daily mission win registry... playing 8 games and then having the win not register is upsetting. And commonplace. (Last week one day I played 14 games before I had my daily mission complete...2 wins did not register.)
  14. i apologise for asking this again if it has been discussed to death. i have a 90 day recurrent subscription and have been playing since beta. do i still have to run out, buy a 'time card', cancell my subscription and enter the time card code to get that title? bioware you sometimes amaze me in your lack of clear communication. never occured to you people would need an answer to this? Or are you hoping we will be desperate for the title and run out and double pay?
