  1. I love all the threads by people buying macs because they are supposedly so much better than a pc with windows, and then asking people how to install windows on it so they can do all the stuff their awsome new mac won't support. Truly awsomesauce, 100%
  2. Nah, I like it how it is. If you jump off a skyscraper you deserve bad things to happen to you.
  3. Oh it really grinds my gears when that happens because the only way out is usually to instant travel out. 95% of the time /stuck just drops you somewhere else inside the terrain. Still, at least it's rare enough that it's not a big deal and pretty darn cool in side of there. There should be like codexes for some of these places that takes you hours to get to even if you know how to, and then like a title when you collect so many.
  4. Having lived in England for four years, I think the Empire should be more insulted.
  5. You seriously need to step away from the keyboard and go see a therapist, dude. I'm not kidding.
  6. This is purely a reaction to people using flawed game mechanics (bugs) to their advantage. People find out that if you a and b, c happens even though it's not supposed to, and they do it. That's what they're after, not people skipping a boss or pushing one off a cliff. This is a direct reaction to all the PvP exploiting that's being reported lately.
  7. Or you can just duel someone in the middle of the space station, where everyone can watch you. Kind of the same thing, no additional instaces creating lag, no dev time wasted.
  8. I'm glad I never played any of those games. Enjoy your break, but if this is truly the best for you, you'll be back... and if not, can I haz yo stuffz?
  9. What you are looking at in that video is a sad person with a lot more money than sense. That's 4 accounts running on 4 computers, because that's the only way to do it in TOR. It's not muilti-boxing, it's multi- being lazy/showing off. I personally don't see a point to multiple instance play in this game. I played SWG forever, where I did it all the time, but the features of this game make it completely pointless. Plus, on SWG most people had multiple accounts because they could only have 2 or 3 toons per server, on TOR very few people have more than one account and the game won't let you log in twice on the same account. Plus, you need a third party program to run macros and with companions and legacy perks it's all unnecessary. If you've got a macro program running it's going to affect the active game you have up in the window, so that's not gonna work. Need all buffed up? SWG- Log on your entertainer and start buffing, also long on your medic and buff yourself, then log on your officer and drop a box of stims. TOR- If you have a toon in each class division that has completed chapter 2 (and by now most of us do) you just push a button. If you don't just stand around for about 2 minutes, most likely someone will come by see you don't have all the buffs and hit you up. Either way, you're done with no need for multi-box Having a bit of trouble with that one freaking mob? SWG- Log on your medic, officer, commando, set it to run your favorite assist macro, and wipe the floor up with them. TOR- Use a the correct companion. Want to make money? SWG- Log in your alt and bot your way to richness TOR- Play the game, sell loot on the GTN your way to richness See? No reason to do it at all, all a second toon is going to amount to is another pet following you around.... and you have to pay for another account to have that. I support no in-game macros in this game just to prevent botting.
  10. I think there's just about enough useless crap on there already, tbh.
  11. I just can't wait to meet Timothy the Hutton when this thing goes live.
  12. It takes no time to get to 10 or 15 by design, to give you some experience and make you interested in the story/gameplay. After that the XP needed scales upward as you level up, while you also get more xp for completing quests you need still more xp to level up. It really starts to drag at about level 43-45 up to 50, that's where it will seem like forever between levels. All you can do is always park your toon in a rest area when you log out and use xp boosts from the cartel market when possible... best suggestion, do a LOT of quests but don't go back to the end NPC, just save them. Once you've done a good part of a planet and have 10 or more quests to turn in, make sure you have plenty of rested points and pop a booster and then go turn them all in, you can still level pretty fast doing that. And.... don't forget to do a couple space missions here and there, suck though they do they are great for xp.
  13. That thing's 3 years old and, as noted, needs a lot of upgrades. If it were me and I had to choose between $600-800 for upgrades or $1000-1200 for a brand new built to game computer from newegg or alienware.... it wouldn't be a hard choice to make.
  14. I don't understand how someone can miss an email that says "here's a bunch of tokens, go to the fleet and see <vendor's name> in combat training area on you fleet's station to purchase advanced gear" or something very similar to that. I also don't understand how someone can not upgrade their gear when the level out. Even on my first toon I had a full set of level 50 orange already waiting in storage well before I capped out. I guess some people don't save/manage their money very well and don't understand the concept of shopping sensibly on the GTN. You make so much money leveling if you have any sense, and modded up orange and purple armor is so cheap on the GTN that there's literally no excuse for running around with green gear after you hit 50. Heck, my current level 45 inquisitor has a full set of modded level 50 purples waiting already, with no help from my other toons. After a couple days of heroics upgrading the armorings her gear will be better than a tionese set. So why can't anybody else figure this stuff out? I guess it's just complete MMO noobness.
  15. It's called a guild, form one.
  16. Actually, as with everything else, BW messed it up. The republic capital is Corruscant, and in the movies what accent does everyone from corruscant have? And George Lucas specifically instructed Dave Filoni that Twi'leks have french accents when they were doing the episodes about Ryloth. I'm sure there are many others, but that's just stuff that jumps out off the top of my head.
  17. I have to agree with you Quraswren, and from reading his "story" I can honestly say he strikes me as one of those "people" that greed on everything any way just to be an ***.
  18. Somebody never played craps or roulette, casino managers go to jail for fixing those odds. And I just wanted to throw in a little perspective here; obviously the odds of getting these "omg essential game-breaking coolness" items aren't that bad... at least not judging from the amount of the "rare" stuff that's for sale on the GTN.
  19. Yes, GTN is definitely the way to go for anything you want off the cartel market... and it's free, just a little play time spent earning creds.
  20. Butt flaps should be part of the belt, not part of the top; for several reasons.
  21. OK OP.... So, if they're under-geared and you're fully geared, how do you expect them to ever get fully geared if you're going to be a dooshbhag and need the gear that is probably one of the reasons they were doing the instance in the first place? I sure hope you don't work for NASA, because you're obviously no rocket scientist.
  22. Got to the peak way above the bunker after the dam on Alderaan a couple times, nice view from up there. I also like to try to get to those places that I was never intended to go. Guess I need to start a photobucket account and post that one. I have literally seen, and even once twice fallen off of, the end of pretty much every planet. I also got way the hell up on some ledge that I'm sure I wasn't supposed to be on in Nar Shadaa once and then couldn't get down... of course I forgot to screeny it. I always forget that when I find a cool place because I'm usually just so in awe of the view and the fact that I got there in the first place. On tython I found and played around a bit in a whole big open plane with grass and trees on the other side of a rock cliff once. It was actually pretty huge with an ocean view, the only way out was to jump off the cliff commit suicide or instant travel. Wish I could find that again. My ultimate goal is try to get to the village overlooking Smuggler's Den and ride on the balloon that runs east to west on the north end of Tatooine. P.S. BW needs to kill the cooldown on the /stuck ability... that is super annoying.
  23. wow, just wow Yes, everything is an insult aimed directly at you, it's a great big conspiracy.
  24. ...because rolling the roller on the mouse, right there where you fingers are already, is also extremely difficult. I can see how this makes the game basically impossible to play.
  25. for me it's not the language people use, because I can out-do pretty much anybody in that respect and I don't care... it's the retarded 12-years olds that go on and on and on about the stupidest crap in the world. They need to just remove that channel altogther, imo.
