  1. I've been coasting on the free month, I have something like 20 days of it left. Logged in tonight and just looked around and realized, what am I doing wasting my time on this any more. Uninstalled the client just now. This game has no future, sorry to say. Farewell TOR, hope you pull your heads out of your collective behinds Bioware, but I know you won't even as I say that.
  2. 1.2 was the wonder patch too, look how well that went. I'm calling it now, 1.3 is going to be an even bigger disappointment than 1.2.
  3. It's funny you say that because the whole situation really takes me back to playing Tribes 2 years ago. There was no team autobalance in Tribes 2, so everyone could just go to whatever team they wanted in whatever numbers even mid match, it was regular to have awful games that were 40 people on one side versus 10 on the other, because people would start moving over to the team that was winning immediately.
  4. It's all on bioware to fix a problem you caused? While it's true that they are the only ones that can do anything about it at this point, you did what you did, finished off your server all by yourselves, and now are waiting for them to come bail you out. You could have stopped to think and see the problem obviously coming based on the fact you were on such a small server but you chose to just keep taking the coms for gear because they were easy. I guess you just never actually thought for a second about what you were getting the gear for or what you were going to do with it after you got it. So now you are left to suck it up and hope you get a server transfer soon. In the end though you did it to yourself, bioware didn't come in and muck up your server and tell people to stop queuing.
  5. Reap what you sew. I have no sympathy at all for the people that crushed the competition and ended pvp on their servers.
  6. Would you? If you would perhaps you should roll a fresh alt on their side and try a challenge. I've talked to people who have got to 50 in days with the spacebar. Something tells me the type of players that obsessively play warzones all day could quite easily level an alt in a short time. Of course we both know you wouldn't do that because that would suck, and be hard, and you would lose a lot of games, probably all of your games as you struggle to get even a couple pieces of battlemaster gear while you get repeatedly beaten by the same handfull of names you recognize over and over again. Don't come in and pretend you are a cut above other people in that you would just keep hitting queue again to play with the 5 man scrub team that crawled out from under a rock to try pvp. Because if you were really some kind of master of the game, some ultimate pvp god as you say, you should be able to turn even that situation into a win. So go DO it, your challenge awaits. But that's not it is it, you just happened to have the luck of rolling on the side that got geared up first and had enough people interested to form a premade with and roll your way over pugs to even more easymode gear.
  7. I've seen this multiple times. I just reported someone yesterday for this. Capped alderaan center turret by himself. He started clicking, a beacon went up over him. Assassin on my team attacked him beacon went away, Assassin continues attacking him non stop. Less than 2 seconds later the turret caps. Both of us were standing right there and saw the exact same thing.
  8. I noticed this morning that the queue is broken too. I was waiting in the queue for a long time, and during that time I was using the search function to see who was in what warzone. As I am on a dead server, there was only one group in one warzone. I watched it clear out, watched one of the people on the list appear in front of me, and then proceeded to keep waiting. After a while i started wandering. I checked again a few minutes later, six people were in the warzone again. So I messaged one asking if there were six on the team. There were, they started short handed, but I had been in the queue for half an hour already. I unqueued, and then requeued, and got an instant pop. Then I proceeded to join an in progress warzone that was a loss because it started short handed. So the system not only sucks, but is broken and starts games short handed with people queued. I suppose it shouldn't be a terribly big surprise though, given 60% of the time there is someone in the warzone op that isn't even in the group list. PVP in this game is really just an afterthought. Unfortunately most of the game at this point is also an afterthought.
  9. So making it impossible to unqueue, and forcing people to stay and take a beating if they get a lopsided group is your genius idea for solving everything? Oh that's sure to work, at making people not even queue period anymore that is. Seriously, you need to go home and rethink your life after a thought like that.
  10. There simply isn't a point. There is a big colored icon next to your cast that shows what it is. As a sorcerer I have 4 heals that someone might want to interrupt. Revivification, Dark heal, and Innervate. All are accompanied by a distinctive animation plus a cast bar with a big green icon (gold if you are talking about a sage) next to it indicating a heal. None of them at this point are worth fake casting for, or anything anyone would fall for a fake cast on. It's more of a sacrifice cast than anything. There are two non heals that come to mind you could cast, the casted lightning strike, and the crushing darkness DOT. However if your opponent doesn't put two and two together and see that it is not a green icon you probably don't have much to worry about anyway. This game makes everything super easy in this respect. From the big in your face distinctive animations and effects. Like the tracer line on innervate pointing directly to you indicating here's the healer, to the animation for revivification being as obvious as if you stopped and did the staying alive dance. To the new shiny icons over everyone's head to help the stupid easily see who they should be killing first. This game leaves absolutely nothing to skill in this respect and holds peoples hands on the process of knowing who to kill and who to interrupt to the point where It should be astounding if anyone gets a heal off and manages not to be interrupted.
  11. At least I know for sure that there is no point renewing my subscription at this time. By July I will have long forgotten about this game as will the other 80% of the population that have left by then. Way, way too little, way too late.
  12. Early summer is about six months too late. I will be long gone by then.
  13. Absolutely every other thing they are doing right now should be dropped to solve this issue. We don't need rakghoul events, we don't need free trial weekends, we don't need more voice overs. We need a game with a playable population level and we need it a few months ago. Absolutely every single developer you have in your employ that can should be devoted to server merges and server transfers. Nothing else matters until this is fixed. This game is dying, EA is in financial trouble and laying off 500 to 1000 people, fix what is important and stop being stupid Bioware. Amateur hour doesn't cut it any longer, time to wake up, grow up, and step up. No more playing the fingers in ears lalala everything is fine game. Your game is going out. You have very little time left, fix it or become another mark of obscurity in the MMO fail bin.
  14. While I would like to fully agree with you there is another reason that sub 50 pvp is more fun that has been missed. Relative equality. Everyone competes on mostly even ground. Yes I know this is what you were talking about when you talk about the lack of expertise, but there is a bigger problem with expertise that you missed. If you simply take away expertise you have the 800 pound gorilla of high end raid guilds in the game. Remove the expertise pvp gear and the most geared in raid gear simply dominates. At this point, you would need PVP gear of equal quality to endgame raid gear and this is where everyone's nose gets in a joint and the argument begins. It has somehow become the holy gospel that you have to get top end gear by grinding away at it for hours on end, and being able to get one kind of gear from another pursuit makes people get all up in arms. The high end raiders flip out if someone can get their shiny purples without spending months raiding their endgame content. The pure PVP people honestly don't care either way I don't think, but the community is always divided on this issue. I think the pvp and pve gear should have roughly the same stats, so in effect, I agree with you. Ditch expertise. Additionally the difference between recruit gear and war hero gear should be maximum 5% The point of PVP should be the competition not acquisition of gear. The way that things should be differentiated is in appearance. Each gear set should provide a compelling reason to want to get it for how good and unique it looks.
  15. The problem is Bioware won't fix it in a logical way. They will come in and break the class in ways that redefine stupid, rather than adjusting things in any kind of a thoughtful manner. Why? Who knows why, that's just how Bioware rolls. The sorcerer and operative nerfs are a testament to their inability as a developer. I expect it is going to be months of this back and forth nerfing and buffing until they finally sink the game. If it even takes that long.
