  1. You make a fair point. I did not consider the cross-player trading that this would influence (GTN). My frustration comes from the percentages not "seeming" to work out in actuality. I would love to hear a confirmation from the team that the percentages are working as intended, just so I would be able to chalk up multiple fails to chance (albeit a low one). I do not personally use the GTN. The crafting I do is for my own characters only. It would probably be too much effort to have "account bound" items have increasing, or a flat-out increased, chance to proc. Having a two-tier system may be too open to exploits or something. Thanks for your thoughtful feedback and not just flaming me.
  2. I'm tired of crafting 5 or 6 greens for disassembly just to get one blue. I know the chance says 20 percent, but there have been many occasions when I've had to craft upwards of 10 greens. Yes, the RNG is working, but it's very frustrating. Why not have the percent chance to research increase by 5 percent each time a green is taken apart, maybe up to a maximum of 95 percent? I especially find that armstech drives me crazy with wasted time and mats. I hope a dev. reads this, but I'm not holding my breath.
  3. As a level 43 gunslinger in a pvp wz I can't kill anything over level 50. Seriously. Using all my cooldowns, focus-firing, using bad language... nothing. I think anyone over level 50 in wz should have to use pillows for armor and weapons. Seriously, I used to like pvp but it sucks so much I'm pretty well done with it.

    Cheating in PvP?

I know I'll probably get slammed for qq, but I really feel there is something weird going on in pvp. I have literally played HUNDREDS of pvp matches across multiple characters, both repub and empire, so I feel like I have a pretty good handle on how the classes work and what's "normal" in pvp and what isn't. I'm not saying I'm the best pvp player btw, and I absolutely don't mind losing particularly if the match is closely fought (those are my favorite ones by the way, where it's close right up to the end) What I have noticed is that some players seem to be able to perform crits at a rate that is way above what should be statistically possible. I have seen WZ's end with players at mid level doing twice as much overall damage as the next person on the list. I have been attacked by the same player and watched as I get slammed with crit after crit, basically taking me down in just a few seconds (even when I play "armored" classes) What makes this even more obvious is I watch other players targeted by the player experiencing the same thing, so I know it's not just a matter of using cooldowns. During two games our team got totally smashed by the other side, most of whom were in the same guild. It wasn't even close. I "yelled" in pvp chat asking that they take a 30 minute break to allow regular folks a chance to compete even. At the next game they still played, but there was a HUGE difference in their dps and damage taken. Then, when there was a possibility they might lose it was like a switch was tossed and they proceeded to decimate us. Maybe they were just playing with us or whatever, but it certainly ruins the pvp experience. I have put in a ticket asking for at least someone to have a look at the numbers on several occasions, but I kinda doubt Bioware will give this one any attention. Has anyone else experienced this?
  6. I've been playing this game for a couple of weeks now and I have some suggestions for how to make the game better. This is my opinion of course. Feel free to disagree but don't bother trolling/flaming please. 1) Too many quests require running back and forth to the same place. This would be less egregious if movement speed was increased. I know there is a self buff to increase speed, but until you get it movement is too slow. Even a boost of 10-15 percent would help. 2) I love the ability to close the chat channel. Makes it much nicer to avoid the immaturity of general chat. In fact, I've seen very little of that sort of behavior anyway. Can I request though that friend and ignore lists be cross character and faction, at least on the same server? 3) Please, for the love of all things, take a cue from other MMO's and don't let people roll need on loot they can't actually use. Most of the time I don't even think it's purposeful. People get excited to see a blue, then don't check to see if they can equip it. At the very least make blues transferable until people leave the instance. 4) I like the idea of the crafting system, but feel it needs a bit of tweaking. It costs so much money to get started that it's hard to feel like you are progressing in a skill unless you have buckets of money and time. Perhaps later on this becomes easier. 5) I wasn't sure at first, but I now like the idea of no automatic looking for group system. Having to make requests in general chat is a bit of a pain, but it may keep people more honest and perhaps even *gasp* talk to each other in group. My only suggestion here is to fix the party chat bug that crops up from time to time so I can actually talk to my group mates. 6) I've tried to get into pvp a few times, but every time the game times out due to lack a lack of numbers. Maybe pvp needs to be cross server? But why does the pvp arena even start if there aren't enough people? 7) There are some quests that should be labeled heroic. I've tried, and seen others try, to complete quests that are too difficult for a single player unless the rng gods shine down on them. 8) Auto-sell greys. 'Nuff said there. 9) It seems premature to have players choose a specialty at level 10 when we don't even know what it will actually play like. Maybe let players make a switch once every 10 levels? 10) I've not had crashes to desktop, but there are still quite a few bugs in the game. Most of the bugs are graphical in my experience, and none of the ones I've experienced are game breaking. I'm sure this will be addressed in patches, but I'm a bit surprised so many slipped through QA and testing. Overall I really like this game. EA and Bioware have done a good job of making a game with personality rather than a generic sci-fi MMO. Thanks to all the people who have worked so hard and for so long to bring this game to market. Cheers.
