  1. Of the two benefits that this armor provided pre Onslaught (scaling armor and 50% xp boost) the scaling armor was the best, and IMO because of how easy xp is to come by, the most useful aspect of this armor. Even without mods or enhancements, you could easily level from 1-70 without ever having to craft or buy armor mods. You have now taken 50% of the benefit of this armor away with no added benefit. This was an event item we EARNED and to get the entire set was not necessarily easy and definitely not quick. Now you have taken away what arguably was the best aspect of this item. Really hoping that this is a bug and it will be fixed. If not that's pretty shady and I would like to know what the purpose of this change was because the only reasons I can think of for this change is padding metrics. Since it is from a 3yr old event and maybe your metrics tell you not enough people still play that have it and the uproar would be minimum so screw us, but for me, I will be waiting for a fix of some sort before I resub or put another $ into this game. IMO, the only acceptable response is it's a bug and we are going to fix it or, if you can't or won't fix it, a collections unlock so I can set up more than one armor set for quick and easy transfer between toons.
  2. In case anyone was wondering it was confirmed this was working as intended when I put in a bug report:
  3. This was highly disappointing to realize while running around on my nautolan and noticing that the armor wasn't increasing. You just reduced this armor from a great reward to a meh reward. If you can't give us the armor back then make this armor reclaimable in the collections so I can create milestone sets for each archetype that I can keep in my legacy storage as I did before the mastery/companion change way back when (with the legacy armor given at the release of starfighter). This was at worst a dirty change to keep people logged in longer or to make people not use the xp boost it provides due to frustration or at best... well, I can't think of a better reason this change was implemented. I leveled many an alt with just this armor and no enhancements or mods. It just wasn't necessary to level an alt to max. I want the DvL armor back that I earned during the event. You have now taken away one of the biggest benefits of a reward we earned. Pretty shady imo.
  4. Not that I expect anything to be added, but that statement isn't exactly true. In the original announcement, they said the store would have REGULAR updates which most who have access to the CE Vendor will probably agree that there haven't been regular updates. From the original announcement: Collector’s Edition Store. At launch the Collector’s Edition Store will be available to those who have the Collector’s Edition of The Old Republic, and will feature items found nowhere else in the game! The Collector’s Edition will be stocked with exclusive social items for yourself, and unique appearances for your companion. The store will also have regular updates to give players incentive to keep coming back. Link: http://www.swtor.com/info/news/news-article/20111021
  5. The way I headcannoned it... With my bounty hunter he snuggled up with Oggurobb and his underground contacts behind the scenes and we were creating a mercenary army to ensure that when it was over we could be the new Novablades/Black Sun. With my smuggler, I snuggled up to Hylo Visz behind the scenes and we used the conflict to build the largest smuggling ring in the galaxy.
  6. I think the changes they are making are positive, but for me personally they aren't enough. I love making and playing alts, I usually play solo, and occasionally do ops when I'm on and can/want to get into groups, and pvp. I like to do it all. In that order (of preference). IMO this did nothing/very little to help the alt lover play-style. They have done nothing but add grind since 4.0 (grindy alliance system & now galactic command) and for me this has pushed it over the top. Because of my preferred play style (alts and solo) I will have a hard time doing ops and pvp (which I also enjoy semi-regularly) because it takes too long to grind for the gear and not even just the gear, the levels to obtain the better gear too. I only got 3-4 of my 30ish toons to 65 in the last expansion because replaying the story more than a couple of times was boring and the thought of grinding alliance was painful. With an even increased grind just to get to the point where I can get decent gear from the crates, more than one (if that) geared toon is highly unlikely. Galactic Command (especially with 300 slow grindy levels that determine the level of gear you MIGHT receive) should not have even been considered as a character specific system. For a game that started so alt friendly and with the different stories almost making alts a must I am very disappointed with the grindy path that SWTOR is going down.
  7. Don't get your hopes up the radio control ship from last anniversary is still 400CC to unlock.
  8. I was under the impression from what Eric said in the live-stream that top item level gear would be able to be crafted (great for crafters, I think) it just won't have the set bonuses. Now, I may be stupid on this subject (as long as I have played I have never really gotten into the higher level nightmare raiding) but are set bonuses really necessary other than for min/maxing? Now if I am wrong in my interpretations this does kind of suck for F2P or Preferred players if: 1. You need the set bonuses to complete nightmare raids or 2. Crafters won't be able to craft the highest rating gear just without set bonuses. Why? They would basically be taking away their access to something they previously had access to.
  9. I updated to the new ones to test it and so far I haven't seen the issue pop up again. I think it is fixed.
  10. The issue started with NVIDIA update: 372.54 released on 8/25. Does anyone know if their most recent update 372.70 (released on 8/30) fixed this issue? I rolled back to 368.81 and don't want to update again if it isn't fixed.
  11. Granted, I didn't read everything but I have to disagree with the assumption that sub rewards are vital to keeping players. As others have stated new/interesting content is the way to keep your players... Subscriber rewards are how you keep people subscribing once those new/interesting things have started to run a little stale and before new content is added. What I would prefer to see is a token system. You get one token for every month you are subscribed and one premium token every three (or six) months. With the regular token you can pick up vet rewards like the HK helmet or HK weapon set but with the premium token you can pick up premium rewards like maybe Nico. All rewards should always be available so that subscribers can pick and choose the ones they want. This way newer subscribers could pick older rewards at the expense of newer rewards. Also, if there is something a subscriber doesn't want/like they can just hold onto their token in case they miss a month of subscription or after three (or six) regular tokens they could trade them for a premium token. Ideally this would be on a new tab in the CM for easy access.
  12. I leveled a Togruta Sith warrior and on Korriban I was referred to as a pure-blood Sith (I just head cannoned that because I chose the red Togruta skin that maybe they are just nearsighted and only see a red blur) but then in the rest of the game I was referred to as an alien.
  13. True, but you know it's gotta suck... EricMusco sit's down at his desk, "Let me check the forums and see what the playerbase is up to... Oh $h17 not again... D@*% it devs!" Thread 1: "Sorry guys." Thread 2: "My apologies" Thread 3: "Oops our bad." It has to be frustrating.
  14. I feel somewhat sorry for EricMusco... (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here.) http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=891500&page=3 Yet another stealth "fix" that he has to come by and say sorry for... Despite what someone has said earlier in this thread... There is a pattern of stealth nerf/fixes by Bioware. Whether it is intentional or not is irrelevant.
