  1. Actually all it tells us is people don't like the gear differentials and want everyone to have equal stats when PvPing because thats what sub 50 pvp is, no gear scaling of ANY kind. Even if you had PvE gear only you would still have the exact same issue, raiders would be the ones to dominate. Your logic is poor, its not that there is PvP gear or a PvP stat its that there is a difference in stats because of ANY gear. Sub 50 peoples stats are pretty much universal the biggest difference ive seen is around 1.5k health, which is negligible. The only difference generally between a 34 and a 14 is the mastery points and ability unlocks. In some respects it can be more unbalanced than the post 50 brackets as some classes have deal breaker abilities that if they dont have them they can't compete, others have abilities they get around 40 that make them amazing compared to a 20. Skill won't make up for the fact that the guy you are fighting have 2 "invulns" and a nuke, and you don't, unless the guy is awful.
  2. Eh while he does bring up SOME semi valid points, I don't believe you can call this "a post where the guy paid attention to the class" if anything its very obvious he didn't. The comments about opportune/pommel, obviously meant for PvE only as everyother class has similiar abilities (pve only) The comments on his sweep, and 2 other abilities not "stunning" in pvp says he completely failed to read them, as they say standard and weak enemies which has no bearing on PvP. I honestly think the guy stumbled onto a few valid points while clearly showing he doesn't have a good concept of the class. If you are listing abilities as buggy or not working... you should at least know what the ability does, lets be honest about that.
  3. This is pretty accurate, its not that people are bad, its that their playstyle doesn't fit. If you don't like managing all the Medium CDs that this class is reliant on and have problems keeping track of them, the class will play poorly. If you are good at keeping track of everything the class will play beautifully. Its not skill per say though there is A certain skill involved, its not one that if you lack makes you a bad player, it just means your playstyle doesn't work for the class.

The Class is a bit odd to play compared to the other classes standard fair, you don't really have a spammy attack (minus slash and if you are spamming slash you aren't getting the most out of this class a couple specs aside) Combat is a bit rough a spec too compared to watchman. The class relies on many medium length CD abilities in general, to get the most out of it, and a lot of people can't adjust to it. The class is honestly more or less ok, it might could use a few slight tweaks but it doesn't need an overhaul like some people seem to think. There is just a big difference in those that spam slash and those that utilize all their medium length CDs. The playstyle is just different from other classes and it doesn't work for everyone. Other classes the difference isn't as big and so you see a lot more pity poor me posts for sent/mara because their playstyle doesn't work for the class.
  5. Eh even if you are chosing dark/light choices that go against your companions views it shouldn't be to hard to keep their affection up assuming you aren't trying to RP it or something. For example, my trooper was darkside every time that choice came up, however he was very respectful of chain of command and didn't choose the ahole choice if there was no dark choice. Generally speaking you will get more affection gain/loss just based off non dark/light choices. Sure the dark light choices might be worth more affection but in the long wrong non dark/light choices carry a great deal more weight. Just as an example as a trooper 1st choice +15 for pro republic 2nd +15 for duty 3rd 0 4th choice +15 duty 5th +15 moral 6th dark side choice kill the guy for being a traitor -1 to -30 at worst. This would still net you +30 in a worst case scenario. Most likely +59.
  6. While this bug is obnoxious there is a work around. The north pylon must be solved before the south pylon each time. IE north pylon advances to 2 then south; north advances to 3 then south; north advances to 4 then south; north finishes then south. This doesn't mean you can't move the south til north is completely done wtih a level of the pylon, it just means you can't finish the south side til north has finished theirs. So in any case do that and I promise it will work. Our guild was getting annoyed at the hit and miss with the pylons and some 1 heard about doing it this way, haven't had a problem in 4 weeks. The 2 bosses that need some serious looking at though are Soa, that guy still has at least 4 bugs, maybe a 5th depending. Beating him is partially reliant on not getting to many bugs (hard mode). Bonethrasher hard mode, seems to like occasionally hitting people for 48k+ and we aren't really sure why this happens, we still down him, its just annoying when he decides to insta kill some one. Those bugs are what need to be fixed.
  7. You do realize this isn't a juggernaut exclusive thing right? All classes have one or 2 skills that they can only use in PvE and they are generally high damage skills. Never mind the comparing dps abilities to CC abilities is silly. Shadows/assassins can do the same thing powertech/vanguards too, most classes have a knockback, and yes you can knock people into fire and such. Honestly the only class that has no way to send some 1 into the fire/acid on huttball is scoundrel/operative which are probably the only people with a right to complain about huttball.
  8. Not always they don't. Tank nailed him with a pylon tuesday and hie shield didn't go down got him to 4% anyways but the enrage screwed us. Which is great because if it weren't for that he woulda been dead. Another new bug it seems is he will randomly drop aggro from the tank in phase 3, so your tank has to be ready to taunt the second he looks away. All the other attempts we had the usual bugs. 1) he randomly resets on phase 3 2) he keeps aoe charges 3) Invisible Lightning balls (this isn't a major issue just have your raid turn on nameplates.) 4) The floor can decide not to reset sometimes (didn't have this last night) 5)(This isn't a bug but it needs to be changed in code) after getting targeted by a lightning ball you can then be thrown in the air too, this causes the lightning ball to follow you anyways running through the raid. Also of note if yuo managed to pop it before being thrown you are almost garunteed to die, as you can't be healed, and the combination of damage between the throw and lightning ball is usually enough to kill some 1.
  9. General Manager - I play a scoundrel and a Vanguard because it lets me do anything between the 2 classes, which oddly enough is like my job lol.
  10. Ya.. as others have said its an audio indicator for the person playing the class that they have triggered something. Troopers/BH laugh when they proc a rail shot and not sure but maybe a stock/rocket punch? Agents and scoundrels laugh when they trigger tactical advantage/upper hand. Its honestly just an auditory cue for the person playing the class, and to a lesser extent the person they are fighting so they know whats going on too. Honestly they might as well just make it for the player only but meh not a big deal, just realize its the game not the player.

I played a spec similiar to this as a fresh 50, and it does help with the survivability, however a couple points that I feel need to be stressed that I think are in error in your build. 1) The damage while mediocre is pretty sub par, any healer will be able to deal with this no problem that advantage you are bringing is the guard and mitigation for your team. 2) While you are correct on the order of crit over riding shield chance, by using combat tech gear (or enhancement/mod swapping) you are losing all shield chance from your gear, and taking no increases apart from a 1% to your shield chance. This means you are running around with only 21ish chance to shield. Now the issue is you are getting almost nothing out of this as you have very little absorbtion too maybe 26-27%? Not only that but 21% is bringing you no where near the point of fall off from crit chance, no one runs around with +70% crit chance, it just doesn't happen. Maybe 60% on certain (this build excluded as one ability has a high crit chance with tech bonus) abilities but unless you are hitting 40% shield chance you are still getting benefit. 3) The fact you are negating your own shield chance means you are proccing your stock strike much less often, which means you aren't getting the optimal burst out of this spec/build. With these issues in mind here a couple suggestions to fix this. Fix #1: Consider a 28/11/2 build netting you a 8% shield chance increase, instead of a 1% this makes your stock strike proc more reliably. Fix #2: Consider mixing and matching some mods and enhancements, utilize some absorb heavy enhancements in pieces of combat tech such as the chest or pieces that have no surge. While updating other pieces of gear as possible with power/surge enhancements to get the most out of your high crit stock strike. If you are building a tanky burst then itemize for it.

There are currently a great deal of bugs present in the raids, especially with Soa, bonethrasher instakilling people, and the puzzle (although there is a work around for the puzzle) to name a few. We have been seeing a fair amount of bug fixes for the casual gamer, but those raiding are beginning to feel left out in the cold. Do we have an ETA on these fixes, have then been identified and a fix is in route or are raiders being largely put on the back shelf as they are the current minority?
  13. The most versatile hands down is a sorc/sage. A distant second would be merc/commando (they are powerful just not as versatile). Sorc/sages are just incredibly versatile and have soooo many tools at their disposal its borderline broken.
  14. What exactly is the point of this post? Are you saying Emp is OP somehow? Are you saying your team is bad what exactly are you posting for? Did you just want the forums to know you lost 34 games in a row if so why? If it is about the annoying as heck warzone not counting bug why talk about the losses? The warzone bug blows, and BW needs to get off their butts and get it fixed thats for darn sure, but this post seems pointless.
  15. So.... you are either a shadow/assassin or knight/warrior My money is on marauder with an assassin alt. I give this 1 star although there is ONE change in there that wasn't poor. However to get 2 stars you indicate more than 1 change is acceptable, so 1 star, this is crap.
