  1. Did you get something for the money you spent? Did you enjoy the thing you got for the money you spent? If so, then what is the point of your question? Why drink Coke when you could buy the generic store-brand cola? Why drink soda when water is much cheaper? It's all just beverages. Why pay more for "extra" content added to your water?
  2. I'm pretty sure he thought you were just another guy playing the game. On the internet, people don't know you're a girl.
  3. I would just like to be able to replay the companion conversations. At the very least, once we complete the romance with a character, she/he should respond differently to us when we click on them than they did before we romanced them. Just throw in a few different lines that reflect the relationship status.
  4. 1. Utinni! 2. Utinni! 3. Utinni! 4. Utinni! 5. Utinni!
  5. I'll deal with it if my old VCR ever dies. Until then, its composite output works just fine with my AV receiver, which up-converts to HDMI.
  6. I'm sure they get royalties off every single YouTube video anyone posts of themselves playing it. YouTube allows the "content owner" to either request a video be removed or hijack the adspace for the video.
  7. I woke up this morning, and I couldn't think of anything to complain about. That REALLY PISSED ME OFF! I hate when that happens. All I wanted was something to complain about, but the stupid universe couldn't even provide THAT to me!
  8. Duuuuudeeeee... I think you got lost on the way to work. THIS IS A GAME! It's meant to be a FUN DISTRACTION FROM THE HARSH REALITY OF LIFE! If you want a challenge, then here: (warning: profanity)
  9. Yeah. If you want to be serious, then go to work or school...or something. Tanks really aren't as special as you think you are in SWTOR. Jedi can be tanks. Every kid wants to play a jedi.
  10. What annoys me is that I can go into my family room, pull out my copy of pong, plug it in, and play on the TV whenever I want. That game is ages old. However, games like City of Heroes are apparently lost to the void. I fear the same will happen with SWTOR, but hope EA will find a way to monetize a private server setup if they decide to shutter the game. BioWare already did Neverwinter Nights, so the concept is there. Maybe we don't want full-on MMORPG level play, but the ability to reminisce with some friends would be nice. I don't know if Blizzard will officially support that whenever they decide to shut WoW down, but there are already educational research projects on the subject...
  11. Wait...you mean Tiger Woods should quit playing golf because some of us enjoy a round of "best ball" or captain's choice? The difficulty of doing something is its own reward. Things are only as difficult as you allow them to be. You're not going to win a green jacket playing SWTOR or any other video game. If that's what you're here for, you're in the wrong place. It's like the girl in WoW who decided to make her own hardcore mode. She deleted her character if it ever died. The rest of the world's ability to also reach max level does not devalue her accomplishment. Are you only able to enjoy having things that others can't have? If so, I'm done interacting with you. I hate the people who have to get a newer car whenever their neighbors get a car like theirs.
  12. Yeah. Nice. I just get tired of people joining a group, then getting all pissy the second someone makes a single mistake or whatever. If people can't even have the patience to overlook a little bit of silly chat, then they're going to completely freak out the second someone wants to have fun in a group. Not everything is binary in the world.
  13. Actually, in my experience, nine times out of ten, the people who carry your attitude are the ones who cause the most strife in groups. Silly != incompetent Grouchy = group-killer
  14. Bioware, not EA. When a division of your company does extremely poorly, you do not invest tons of money into that division, hoping it will magically turn around. They have let go almost everyone who was involved in SWTOR from the beginning. The founders of Bioware quit. SWTOR is possibly the worst thing that has ever happened to Bioware (after the ME3 fiasco). EA has been able to salvage some value out of SWTOR, through the F2P and cartel market. I happen to enjoy SWTOR. I think it's a great game. I just don't think it's great from a business perspective, so I understand the desire to limit resources. Then again, they have so few servers, I don't understand why they can't have 24/7 GM monitoring of open chat channels for credit spammers, etc. EverQuest had real GMs and even the guide program more than a decade ago. I don't understand why EA can't do the same. Why can't they hire minimum wage employees to remotely monitor the game, with higher level oversight to their activities? It's a bit mind-boggling to me.
  15. The MAIN reason to do a space mission is because it is a fun diversion from raiding, leveling, or PvPing.
  16. If you do not have cable or satellite TV, then please feel free to continue your rant of righteous indignation.
  17. WoW hasn't nearly bankrupted the company.
  18. That works both ways. If you have too many people on your ignore list, you won't be matched with them for flashpoints/operations. If you're too quick to /ignore everyone who "bothers you" in chat, you're hurting yourself just as much. I've seen people ask the same questions over and over and over, watching it be answered repeatedly. It turns out that they had /ignored half the people on the planet during some political discussion that had broken out in general chat. I reserve the use of /ignore for credit spammers or the possibility of someone being a direct harasser of my character(s). If you feel that someone is excessively spamming open chat channels, then feel free to use the "Report Spam" option. Don't let one bad experience with a player ruin the possibilities for the future. Take the light side option...
  19. What is a PvP server? Yeah...that wouldn't work on any other server type.
  20. Hmm. August has 31 days, so August 16th would be the middle of August. That's a Friday. Would the event run Friday through Friday? I guess that makes sense to start it on a Friday afternoon.
  21. Should we create new characters there to keep you company? It might be nice to start out fresh again.
  22. You must not follow politics. 50+ can be serious douchebags. They've had more practice at it. Age does not make you a better person. It just makes you better at being whatever kind of person you are.
  23. Yeah. It's really awesome when you pre-pay, with your credit card, for a deep dish pizza with the works, and get a thin crust cheese pizza delivered instead. You get to eat what you didn't order, and like it. Oh yeah!
  24. It's extremely doubtful at this point, especially if that other player is subscribed.
