  1. The game will end exactly 367 days (one leap-year and one day) from release.
  2. You don't even have to use yourself for that to work. Name: Jacen Solo Mother: Leia Organa Father: Han Solo Result: Solja Orhan Pick any three random names that mean something to you.
  3. Go to your fleet station. Go near the area where you learn professions. Look at the entrance and exit of that area. I've never played Empire, so I can't say for sure, but that's where she is on Republic's Carrick Station.
  4. Something like that. I believe the Republic one is a female twi'lek. Her name is probably something like: ...........Im'a Ven'dor <Pre-order Crystal Vendor>
  5. Lady_of_Steel, The way I look at it is how blatant the use of the name is. For example... Carth might be fine. However, Carth'Onasi would result in me doing whatever I can to get your name changed. Jacen? Fine. Jacensolo? Not fine. Mara? Ok. Marajade? Bad. I wouldn't even think there should be a problem naming your character Satele.
  6. I made a GameStop manager really mad one day when he was trying to give this kid $5 credit in trade for a $60 PS3 game. I just said, "Wow! I was going to buy that for $10 at the flea market, but someone else got it first." The kid quietly took his game back, walked out, and gave it to me for $10.
  7. I have an idea that involves them looking at all of the people they have already invited, and comparing to how many of them have responded to their invitations, then making an informed and logical decision about the risks of inviting too many extra people that could cause a catastrophic log-in rush when a giant horde of players all decide to log in for the first time in one giant wave on Thursday or Friday evening, crashing the entire system.
  8. Yes. I had an issue linking my original social.bioware.com account with my SWTOR account, so I was agonizing from 3:17am EDT through 4:36am EDT, on July 21st, when I was finally able to enter my pre-order code, after getting my accounts properly merged. I knew on the day of release that it mattered how quickly you put in your code. People were freaking out in the early morning about not getting codes emailed fast enough.
  9. My ophthalmologist says I don't see green properly. Maybe that's why it doesn't look so bad to me. I just call us all (who use the crystal) the Bumblebee Club.
  10. Ignorance is not justification for a complaint. It's a valid reason for being unhappy. I'll give you that, and I do sympathize. However, the accountability lies solely with you. If you discover that Sparkle-vampire Extravaganza Part 2 is having an advance screening tonight, which sold out three months ago, it's not up to the venue to provide you with tickets.
  11. I never said it was a lot. What did the guy at Best Buy pay when he got in line for Black Friday on Wednesday evening? First-come, first-served is not a new concept like so many here seem to make it out to be.
  12. I paid time and interest. I paid time on July 21st, spent pre-ordering and entering the code on the website. I paid interest that my $20 could have earned between July 21st and whenever any complainers finally decided to pre-order. So, yes. We do deserve to get in first because we took the necessary steps to ensure we were at the front of the line.
  13. I survived a fight in beta with 10 hps left at level 20+, so I do know the value of stats. That last 1 hp is the one that makes the difference between living and dying.
  14. Your side's fleet station. The Republic one is in a corner on the way to the center from the crafting area.
  15. No. Retail codes will only grant access starting on the 20th. Early access is locked to pre-order only.
  16. Go look at the gear on social vendors. It will most likely be things like that. No stats, but full open slots for mods. It will be cosmetic awesomeness, but you'll have to acquire the mods to give it stats just like the social gear.
  17. They do owe you something for your $5. They owe you a reserved copy of the game. That's all. Your $5 is not in addition to the price of the game. It is a deposit on the purchase of the game that gets deducted from the final purchase price.
