  1. Technically, those are both valid spellings so... how is it a spelling error? Sure it may be inconsistent but neither is spelled incorrectly.
  2. I would imagine that, as here on Earth, it varies based on location and probably also species. The age of consent on Tatooine is probably different than say on Kashyyyk, or Coruscant, or wherever.
  3. You don't unless you have actual healing abilities. There are also medpacks out there that can heal both you and your companion, I would check the GTN. But in general, you can't unless you are a healing class.
  4. The set bonus on the new sets of gear is tied to the main mod (armor, hilt, barrel) so as long as you have that piece you'll get the set bonus even if you switch out the enhancement and/or mod.
  5. Hang on to them as BW has said the vendor that used them may be making a return appearance in the future.
  6. Actually, in the WoW system (not sure about Rift) the money that goes into the gbank is extra money generated by the game for that sole purpose so the player does not lose anything. Say you kill a mob and it drops 10 silver. You loot 10 silver, the game generates an extra 1 silver and that 1 goes to the bank. It's win-win.
  7. This. Very this. Assuming one is RPing the characters it can lead to some really awesome character development. My JK started out totally intending to be pretty dark side. And then she met T7 and felt terrible about deceiving him because he's so loyal. And THEN she met Kira. One unrequited, neverending crush later and Caiden's very much a grey Jedi (albeit a rather snarky one) in order to win Kira's approval/affection. My IA on the other hand, loathes Kaliyo and doesn't see any point in trying to convince her to change. But, that may change as I progress through the story which would be awesome. I have to give Bioware props, they do a great job of eliciting emotional responses over companion characters, even if that response is loathing. There's very few companions (either in TOR or other BW games) that I'm truly indifferent toward. Believe you're right about this and I can't say as I blame them either. Both from their own TOR-related backlash and just looking at the backlash other companies have gotten for talking about things long before they're actually ready to be implemented, it doesn't surprise me they'd play their cards close to the chest.
  8. Your question was answered in the post right above yours...
  9. Not having this problem. Maybe you should update Firefox?
  10. They are adding it because fortunately Bioware is a very open-minded and non-discriminatory company. There are same sex relationships in their other games and there is no reason for there not to be that option in TOR. They are not being pressured into anything, this is something they support and have for a long time. It actually is already in the lore, both in the first KOTOR game and there's at least one gay Mandalorian couple in the books. Bioware has stated that discussion of a toggle is considered discriminatory. You can't turn off any other aspect of gameplay, there is no reason to only be able to "turn off the gay". If you don't want to engage in a same sex relationship in the game, then don't click the flirt options. Edit because I accidentally a word
  11. The daily from yesterday gave a choice between two pieces of gear so maybe it's meant to be a two day one and a new one will show up tomorrow? Or maybe that was the last one, hard to say.
  12. Some of them are -very- gendered, Doc/JK* springing to mind for me. So in that sense it makes sense to me that they want to differentiate it or modify it in order for the romance to flow better for SGRAs. Besides, I really like the idea that the romance is going to be different for each gender even if the companion in question is bi. it just seems more realistic that they may approach someone of opposite gender differently than they do someone of the same gender. *This is a personal perception, I am not trying to say that Doc could not treat a male JK the way he treats a female one. It's just the way it's written right now it feels very much like it's aimed solely at being a statement on how he acts around women.
  13. It's an on equip relic which means the ability is passive and always on. If it said "Use: blah blah blah" then you'd have to manually activate it and it would have a cooldown.
  14. To join one you have to be invited to one. To CREATE one, you have to have 3 other people in a group with you and go to the guild register dude and create it, there's also a fee but I don't remember the amount.
  15. There is a timetable. It's coming this year with further story content. It's very doubtful they'll give us a better time frame until rather close to that patch release.
  16. Explode. Collect 5 DNA simply for exploding. Immediately rez in place with no durability damage. Sell your 5 DNA for ~10k apiece to other people. Continue on your way with your gameplay minimally affected only now with 50k more credits. It's a world event, people are participating in it. Given the rakghoul plague is supposed to make people more aggressive it makes sense that the plague would make people try to infect others from an RP perspective. From a purely gameplay perspective, it makes sense to reward people for stuff like that given the event is supposed to be a plague spreading through the galaxy.
  17. Thanks for the FAQ, Natashina! Looks great. Oh man... I think my JK would find Risha and Guss entertaining, respect the hell out of Akaavi, probably be somewhat more tolerant of Corso than my smuggler but still not be thrilled with his naivete, and Bowie would totally be her bro. My smuggler would totally hook up with Doc for a one night stand , probably be somewhat unsure of what to think of Kira but eventually would like her, be rather indifferent toward T7 but find him cute overall, find Scourge very awesome and pick his brain for ways to steal from the Empire and Republic, and probably avoid Rusk for fear he'd try to arrest her but then mock him behind his back. My other characters aren't quite as developed in my mind yet though I can definitely say my SW would actually respect Scourge for doing what he felt was best for the Empire (because that's essentially what her uncle did... the father of my smuggler and trooper) and she'd probably feel the same about Kira.
  18. You have to actually go into your account settings to the forum management section now.
  19. Maybe you should read the posts in the thread? People have a legitimate complaint, they aren't just whining for the sake of whining. For that matter, not everyone with an issue with the new forums has an issue with the game, generalizations are bad.
  20. Cousins and adopted siblings options would be awesome as I have both in my family tree. And yeah, only being able to link two other people to a character is rather annoying unless you're adding children (which I'm not).
  21. They've already stated that they will be adding more cosmetic items to the CE vendor (and in fact have done so). They will be very unlikely to give the CE holders anything like quests or something that would actually directly impact the game in the sense of giving them an advantage.
  22. How does Community not make sense for the Community Forums? It's the same category the forums were under in the old format.
  23. It really would. Unless, of course, they are smart enough to add some way to reset your affection for a companion. Even if it was a one time thing only that'd be pretty awesome.
  24. Correct. The phrasing seems to imply that at least some of the SGRA companions will be current companions but we don't know for sure. It's likely we won't receive any details until right before the patch containing the content is released.
  25. Um, what? If someone needs help with a mission generally they will ask here and then people will answer. Not sure what else you're looking for.
