That could work. Or maybe it could be an option? Pay XP or pay AP. That way if you're 50 or whatever and would rather grind out the AP you can choose that one but if you'd rather regrind the XP than AP you could pick that choice instead?

Fair point. And I agree, I'd rather they be unlocked as they should be and not have some extra step or whatever. But if, for whatever reason, you had to rebuild the affection with the character in order to redo the quests (which, as annoying as it would be would still be preferable to rerolling a high lvl toon imo), at least all the mission skills allow access to the gifts required. Perhaps simply an NPC similar to the skill reset dude that allows you one reset of affection per companion for free in order to redo the quests for the romance? Then at least the only credits you'd have to spend would be on gifts. Or you could run a bunch of the low lvl heroics and instances for affection and not spend anything, it just would take a bit longer.

I could get behind this. I agree that XP would kind of suck when you're 50 and could suddenly no longer wear your gear/participate in you guild's activities. AP is reasonable since you'd need to redo the conversations anyway, this would let them happen somewhat organically. Nope, at least Investigation and Underworld Trading also let you get companion gifts. Not sure about the other mission skill but that's 3 of the 4 so it wouldn't be too horrible. Other than the waiting for companions to get back from their missions but hey, with sending 5 companions at a time, it's not as bad as it could be.

They should show up in your My Documents folder in a subfolder called "Star Wars - The Old Republic".

I've mostly noticed it on the type that occurs when you go to a new planet or to your ship or similar. But I haven't compulsively checked it either so I can't be positive it doesn't refresh at other points also.

Don't forget Kira! If I have to I will recreate my JK and lvl her all the way back to 50 just so she can officially hook up with Kira instead of it all being my head canon.

When you go through a loading screen the missions will update. Just keep checking, eventually an Underworld Metals one will appear. Also, as you level the skill, you'll gain more missions so instead of only, say 3, missions available for the level range there will be 4.

Depends on the companion. The very first one you get will actually send you places on quests. The rest of them will chat with you and do their personal story events alone then come back and tell you about it. Sometimes you will get to interact with their story elements but they won't actually send you somewhere, it would be say participating in a holocall on the ship.

"Print Screen" button. The screencaps will show up in your "My Documents" in a folder called "Star Wars - The Old Republic".

Increases their efficiency and success rate for crew skills. It also will give you quests with the companions as you level their affection and progress through the story.

Haven't read FotJ myself by from what I gather Jaina doesn't get axed that I'm aware of. No idea what happens with Tahiri. And, to be fair, a new Zahn book came out just this past summer. I think what they're -trying- to do is transfer the EU story from the original 3 to the new generation. They're just handling it really poorly.

Usually, unless told otherwise, you will DPS the mob that the tank is focusing on. Depending on the pull, it will either be a verbal/party chat designation of target order or the tank might put symbols on each mob and designate a kill order. If there are a couple of normal mobs in the pull as well as some strongs/elites, generally you will kill the normals first, even if they aren't being tanked because they go down fast. However, if those mobs are a bit away from the tank, you may stay near the tank as melee assuming you have ranged DPS to pick off the outliers. If your group is all ranged, then take out the normals as fast as possible then switch to the tank's target. If the tank isn't designating a kill order, ask for one. Kill orders make pulls a lot easier and keep things under control. If you run with a regular group or guild mates, this is when something like Mumble or Vent can be really helpful. Also, assuming you have a regular FP group or guild group that you run with, you'll eventually get used to how everyone works together and you will no longer need explicit kill orders.
