  1. I'd give much to find that ARMOR that he's wearing. It's almost, but not quite, the Outcast gear [either the crafted version of the armor from heroics on Taris]. The main difference is that it lacks gold trim, and thus makes perfect sense for my Trooper's companions - the group commander *should* wear the same uniform, but with something to denote rank, in my opinion
  2. The damn hell are you smoking? Imperials own PvP on both servers I play. If there's something "not quite Kosher" going on, I assure you, it's not a Republic phenomenon, it's a single player or singular group of players who are cheating. Report them by name and stop claiming your problem is systemic.
  3. After reading this and some other threads I cannot tell you enough how grateful I am that my Smuggler is male. Corso is creepy and I want nothing to do with him. I tend to be very fond of melee companions - some ranged tank companions are buggy with their abilities - and usually aim for the tank, so for me I can use Bowie and not have to worry about romances. I do gift up my girls though, and I think I did accidentally flirt with Akaavi once. I *definitely* flirt with NPCs when Risha's not around, so I have no idea what effect that will have on my future relationship with her. Does she know? I have no idea. Nothing I can do about it now though. The real problem I have is on my Trooper, who is stuck in a relationship with Catboy. To my knowledge, I never, EVER flirted with him. I was nice, sure, but I never flirted. And yet no matter how many times I told him no, he'd be back for more. WORST OF ALL, one romance mission didn't have a no option, and it featured an ominous fade-to-black. I basically feel like my Trooper was *****. By her own second-in-command. Quite frankly, I never use him except for crew missions. And now that I've gotten Elara and Forex up to almost-max affection, I could stop using Jorgan altogether and not notice it. I should be able to kick him out of Havoc Squad. Let him lead his own damn team, I'll make Elara my XO and I'll recruit somebody else. Hell, anybody else would do. I'd take Seetoo as his replacement in the Squad and he can't even use a gun. Bioware, for the love of God, listen to us. This isn't what we wanted. And unlike a game like KotOR or DA:O, you can't go back to a previous save. In an MMO, you're stuck with how things are. Or we could throw hundreds of hours and God only knows how many credits spent and reroll the character - something I am simply not willing to do, even if I could get a free month of game time in which to relevel the character. No. Just let NO MEAN NO and get me the hell out of these unwanted relationships.
  4. Yes, stuff changes when mailed between factions. It would be amazing if it "remembered" for which faction it dropped, so you could - for example - deck Scourge out in Ancient Paragon gear like he's supposed to wear, and have him not look like a damned Jedi.
  5. Ah, sorry, misunderstood you. Yeah... there's no chance in hell I'm doing enough dailies on my Shadow and my Assassin to get two Matrix cubes each. Hell no.
  6. Outcast is Trooper-only? Well, if you like the design, there's always the Outcast Prototype set. Same design and definitely no restrictions. Go back to Taris and do the bonus series. Halfway through you'll unlock a pair of heroics - Knightfall... and err... something else - which give the Outcast Prototype chest and legs. Sorry, I know it's a digression, but since my own Trooper wears the gear I thought I could help
  7. Really? That's extremely disappointing. Normally I can't stand doing dailies. Repetitive missions in any game make me not want to play any more. But I've been forcing myself to do so to get the Black Hole relic, since I don't get a Matrix Cube. Now you're telling me it's not even really worth it. Bioware! Seriously! Throw us a damn bone already!
  8. I want to +1 this just because you want to place it on a planet that Stackpole invented Seriously, kudos to you for that In all seriousness though... if Bioware ever announced something like this was coming, I would happily brush the dust off my interest in PvP and spend the whole patch leading up to it farming for the gear to be competitive. I used to be hugely into PvP, but my interest waned long since. This is exactly the kind of thing that would jumpstart my love of PvP.
  9. No they're really not; you're trolling him more than he trolled you! He made a suggestion that we get notification about in-game events, things that if we miss them, they're gone forever. It's not too much to ask. Hell, I was playing almost a week before I found out about the event. Why? I was leveling a character and not wasting time on the fleet. Like the OP said, there was no email, no mention of it on Facebook, Twitter, nothing. Sure fansites babbled about it, but I don't bother with fansites. For myself, I got virtually everything out of it that I wanted to. But I STILL think some kind of notification is necessary the next time something like this happens.
  10. I don't care if Bioware is giving free character transfers. I don't care if they've flat-out said in the past that they refuse to merge servers. The simple fact of the matter is, they NEED to revisit that decision and they NEED to change their mind. What good will it do to offer server transfers? All you're going to have is empty servers. And you can't very well delete a server if there are characters there, so what, they're going to keep running the servers as utter ghost towns? It's lunacy. And what about servers where only one faction is ridiculously underrepresented. Will those people leave faster than others come in to fill in the gap? Very likely. Which means you're going to end up with some servers having a very vibrant, active faction fighting against a faction that doesn't even exist. Server merges are inevitable. There is really no choice in the matter. Bioware - and more importantly their leashholders, EA - need to come to that realization now before it becomes even more painful in the future.
  11. Okay, I applaud Bioware for remembering that Shadow and Assassin tanks exist in terms of Artifice... finally getting willpower-based craftable Shields is extremely nice. So... howsabout finally giving us a Matrix Cube? Yes, better gear exists out there, but the whole point of Matrix Cubes as I see it is that you can get a quick boost at level 50 to help you on your way. Especially as a tank, who *needs* to have a certain degree of gear before attempting content, we need that boost. Every other tank has a Matrix Cube except for us. I love the Kinetic/Darkness tanking style. My Shadow is a full-time Kinetic tank and has been since level 10; and when I wanted to experience the Inquisitor storyline there was no doubt - I went Assassin and plan to be a Darkness tank the moment I turn 50 [leveling as Darkness was less-feasible thanks to our healer not showing up until Hoth]. It's been six months. Longer, really, since you were told about this well back into beta. It's about time to finally give us the Willpower-based tanking Matrix Cube.
  12. Also /signed. It's godawfully annoying to be almost to a datacron only to get punted back to the beginning, all because the game decided it didn't like you. More, half the time it auto-unsticks you, it fails. So when you try to do it manually you have to wait two minutes. I lost an Unusual Egg because I was trapped inside the MGGS grapple point. Auto-unstick failed; manual /stuck worked... after the egg was looted. Automatic /stuck needs to be disabled.
  13. The change in model is irrelevant. The core of the concept - that class-restricted gear is *too* restricted - is still valid. It bothers me so much that Trooper-specific gear can't be worn by Trooper companions, or that Jedi-specific gear can't be worn by their Padawans. It makes no sense. If you refuse to remove the restriction, at least add sensible class-equivalencies to our companions!
  14. Ah. Now I know why I didn't have a helm on my Shadow today. It confused me since another Miraluka I have *does* have a helm - well, a circlet, anyway. I guess circlets are considered safe enough graphics to display, but not full head helms.
  15. I second this. I have to keep a text file outside of the game to keep track of Synthweaving schematics, because there's 202 of them. Yes, that's not a typo, there are two hundred two schematic items for Synthweaving. And no, that doesn't count the 110 Augment schematics, or any of the Operations-level schems [since those are BoP anyway... which also annoys me because half the time they go unused, since we happen to be in Ops on the wrong character to use them; in my Ops group nobody is an Armormech, but three of us have Armormech alts >.< but that's a whole other suggestion to worry about]. Having right there in the tooltip a little line about whether you know the schematic or not already would be a huge boon, and should be fairly easy to code. Please consider this for future patches.
  16. There are activities the game simply doesn't understand as being *at the keyboard*, and that's a problem! It should realize using the crew skill window means you're there *at the keyboard*. You're not AFK, you're *at the keyboard*. TALKING in chat doesn't count as being *at the keyboard*, unless you're already AFK. I've had times where I say something, two seconds later get flagged AFK, say something else and get unflagged. Seriously? This cannot be working as intended. The AFK flag is bugged, pure and simple. I put in a ticket about it, and the CSR's response basically was "really? I thought we fixed that already". Not so much.
  17. I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug, or if I am making a suggestion for a change to the current mechanic. I was informed by the in-game customer service rep that this is not a bug, though I respectfully disagree with that assessment. Currently, on one of my servers, my Legacy has completed storyarcs for six companions. This includes one of each type, and a second melee DPS companion. As such, I have five - not six - 1 minute decreases to the cooldown on Heroic Moment; and I have five 12 second increases to its duration. The tooltip on the Legacy screen agrees with this; for example, the melee DPS unlock is described as: "Grants a bonus to your Surge rating. Increases the duration of your Heroic Moment by 12 seconds and reduces the cooldown by 1 minute. You may only receive this bonus for one Melee Damage companion." The problem is, the increase in duration doesn't apply to companions. Theirs ends after one minute, while mine keeps on ticking for two. The CSR with whom I spoke was under the impression that that last line in the tooltip refers to the fact that only *that* companion will gain an increase to his Heroic Moment. Demonstrably, this is untrue. For one, we're talking about a Legacy unlock, which by its nature should apply to all characters within a Legacy. For another, as I said previously, I have a 15m cooldown and a 2m duration on Heroic Moment. And finally, something I could not confirm while speaking to the CSR, even if my current companion is one of those whose stories was completed, I still get a 1 minute duration for his Heroic Moment. Only mine is affected. I believe this to be a mistake. If it isn't considered to be a bug - and I honestly believe that it is - then I plead with the developers to change their mind on the matter.
  18. Uhm. Did you miss that the chapter 3 story for everybody is the war, restarting? The Cold War is kinda already over.
  19. Server wide, actually, not account wide. I get none of my Legacy benefits on Keller's Void, that I earned on Sith Wyrm, and vice versa. Second, I think having ridiculously high levels of Legacy *is* earning something. I have to wonder: why should I have to choose between a mailbox on my ship, and crafting? If you're an obsessive completionist like I am, it burns a lot of credits and a *ton* of mats to learn as many schematics as possible. I've more than earned my rewards; why should I have to spend *additional* time to pay for something I've earned?
  20. Okay, so... unfortunately the CSR side of customer service disagrees with the CM side. I submitted a bug report as I was instructed here, and was told by the CSR that Jorgan is working as intended and that, in short, there's no stopping Jorgan once he falls in love. I was told to post in the Suggestion Box forum instead... which I guess I'll do next : \
  21. I apologize profusely, I appear to have had a blind day when you posted. How I missed bright yellow text, I don't know. Either way thank you for responding and letting me know that that was not intentional. Knowing this, I feel much better. I am submitting a bug report now.
  22. I found the right helmet: the Outcast Helmer, craftable by armormechs. Sadly the Outcast Chestguard is identical to my Trooper's [almost down to the name, except that mine's from a heroic on Taris]. The Outcast Chestguard has gold highlights on top of their navy blue and white coloring, which looks great on the commander of the unit, whereas the Hoth Republic Soldiers all wear just the navy blue and white. I really, really freaking like that look. Hopefully somebody has an idea?
  23. I realize this was a necro and thus all the posts on the first page of the thread are old, but none of the recent posters read that page. Seriously, it's only one page. I made it very clear: I never, ever flirted with Catboy. I accepted his gift sans flirting, because I thought that the third option was being far too mean. This is, to my knowledge, the only romance that has one starting point and one only: that goddamn necklace. Only by being a complete ***** can you avoid the romance. Once you're forced into a romance you don't want, there are very, very few places where you can say you don't want to continue, and HE DOES NOT LISTEN. I currently have characters of seven classes, everything but Bounty Hunter, and in none of those classes is the romance such a railroad. This is extremely disappointing to say the very least.
