  1. My feedback: The group finder function is great, it's never been easier to get a group. As mentioned preivously, it does tend to choose your roles for you. However, if you reselect your role before every que then your fine. I've yet to have it send me as a random role. I do have a few peeves though. Yesterday I saw alot of players drop groups because a tank died once, some dropped because they didn't want to group with a certain class and I even had a healer ditch our group in the middle of a fight for no reason. I think people that do this should recieve some sort of lockout in a way. Perhaps, make them unavailable for GF que for 10 minutes or something. Now, sometimes the group just cannot beat the flashpoint and we wouldn't want those who cannot beat something to recive a lockout on GF. So maybe if you have the entire group exit the flashpoint together, then disband, they won't recive a GF lockout. Sometimes players sit in a GF que for about 20 minutes or more and to have people join a group just to drop it, without even trying the fight in some cases, is counter productive to what the GF is there for.
  2. Game launch, everyone complains about que times and either quits or stops playing. BW introduces more servers to thin out the population. More subs are lost after 1.1 and 1.2, for whatever reasons. Everyone begins to cry "transfer" because thier servers are dead and it's hard to find a group beyond thier guild. Bioware then offers free transfers, for those still subbed, to select servers. The community is happy again! Ooops, no? Rinse and repeat? Basically, OP, your saying you were happy with your server being of standard size and the rest of the players should have been placed somewhere else. Everyone wanted more people on the servers, you got them! Don't change your mind now just because it takes a whole 5-10 minutes out of your day. If you really don't like the ques you could always reroll to a server that didn't get a transfer! Trust me, there's no waiting on our servers.......except maybe to group because there's no people! Now, if you give it a week or two, the ques will disappear. Eventually this "spoiled" community is going to cry wolf one too many times and BW is just going to toggle the "Ignore All" button. Think about it, we get all we ask for here. BW is awesome to it's community and all we do is complain about stuff we begged them to do in the first place. Stop the whining people, nobody's forcing you to be here.
  3. If people are resubbing I don't believe it's strictly for 1.3. As mentioned before, alot of players had to resub for thier "free transfer". That being said, I'm sure everyone who got a transfer is looking forward to 1.3.
  4. 1) I think the Inquisitor class is probably one of the most squishy I've played due to them being the only class that wears light armor. One way of making it easier is to take Biochem as your crafting skill so you can make your own medpacks instead of buying them. It does get far easier as you get your companions and groups. I have two inq's a 50 Sorc and a 30 Sin, both can hold thier own in a fight but each is squishy in it's own way. If your looking to take a Inq all the way to 50 be prepared to die. It happens with this class. 2) Cannot comment on phone support because I've never had to call thankfully.
  5. I understand that they're updating the list of servers as they become available for transfer but I'd like a heads-up if our servers are being considered as a destination server or a origin(transfer from) server. My guild is still very active on Mind Trick but if we're going to have to move then I'd like the opportunity to notify everyone and plan a guild-wide transfer. If we're a destination server then my worries are misplaced.
  6. Don't think of the 1-15 trial as a F2P model because it isn't. It's basically on par with other trials. Instead of offering a 14 day trial or a weekend only trial that only allows you to get to fleet they opted to enhance the trial user's experience by letting them adventure to the first world and removing the time constraints. I don't see how this Micro-transaction will work unless Bioware just sells access to the VIP lounge, Security Key, Pre-order vendors. That would be the only viable content besides new orange social gear. If I pay money for appearance social gear it better be new and unique from what you can get by grinding out social x and buying from social vendors. Everyone knows, or at least they should know, they'll begin charging for additional content. Extra planets, species, level caps and thier related content can be considered an expansion which most companies charge thier playerbase for.
  7. Already seen a post like that this morning. You can't win with some people, they cry because there's no one on then they complain there's too many online.
  8. Here's what I believe will happen, based on past experiences. If a select few on your server choose to hold out and not transfer, eventually your server will be merged or shutdown at some point. If a merger happens then basically you'll just be logging into a server with a different name. No transfer needed. Everything is done for you and all the email and GTN restrictions put on you for transfers are normally negated during this process. If your server gets shutdown, without being merged, you might be forced to transfer your character to another server. BW can then take the following steps: First....they may transfer your character to a server of thier choosing without consulting you after they announce the closure of your server. Second....they may inform you of the closing and ask which server you'd like to be transfered to. Third....they may announce the closure and then inform you that, since you chose not to take advantage of the free transfer, you have to pay a small fee to keep your chacter from being deleted by paying for a character transfer to a server of your choice. If your server is offered the transfer you do not have to accept it. However, if there isn't enough people left on the server to justify keeping it open you might find future options a bit more restrictive and undesirable. This is just my opinion, not what will actually happen, but you might want to consider the worst case scenario if you choose not to transfer.
  9. My main question is this, will west coast servers be able to transfer to east coast and vice versa or will they be stuck to a specific region?
  10. Alot of improvements were made in 1.2 that allowed players to transition to end-game PvP a little easier. The following question adresses the same issue with PvE. As many players will agree, finding groups for hard modes is becoming increasingly difficult. Are there any plans to allow players alternate ways of acquiring end-game PvE comms and gear? Perhaps a daily that allows you to gain 10 columi, 10 blackhole or 10 tionese comms.
  11. I agree with the op, alot of the items are very pricey. As BW stated before, the majority of players are sitting below the 1 mil credits marker and only a small percentage is actually considered "rich". With that being said, why are the majority of the items so darn expensive? I, personally, have no problems with bioware wanting players to credit dump. I fail to see how the prices were reached and agreed to when your average player sits on/around 200-300k credits. Just seems to me most of these perks are designed to have average players take forever to aquire. Just my opinion.
  12. Actually that's partially true. There are two fully moddable sets available. One is for legacy level 10 and the other for legacy level 20. Each set will set you back about 1-2.2 mil credits.
  13. Regarding crew skills, will we ever be able to craft our own lightsabers?
  14. I didn't do the 12 hours a day "spacebar grind" to hit 50 in a few weeks so I guess I'm failing to see the point. I have one character at level 50 and I'm currently running Dailies and HM's to gear up. I'll be running my first EV run next week with a follow up of KP. I have a second toon at level 20. So, it took me a little over a month to hit 50 and get a second toon to 20 and there's still alot for me to do. I'll be happy for month's to come just due to storylines alone. Content releases will just make it all that much more fun for me. I'll be keeping my sub and since my wife now enjoys playing as well, I'll be buying her a copy for herself.
  15. So let me get this straight, because it doesn't take a level 50 6 hours to get one piece of gear and HM's aren't almost unbeatable with 4 players this game is not a good MMO? I'm having a hardtime with alot of the logic spewed out by the naysayers. If you want to grind in a 8 hour dungeon to get a piece of gear may I suggest you return to WoW. If your finding HM's easy then there's always NM. Try that and if your still complaining then this game might not be for you.
  16. I agree, not with the OP but other posters, I've been playing since tuesday. I have one toon about to ding 20 and a few other low level toons. If you don't spend 12 hours a day playing and skipping all the story leveling doesn't go that fast. I balance a job, wife and 3 kids while playing and I think I spend alot of time on here. Dragging out levels will leave gaps in the quests and story. If that happens then we end up with just another grindfest MMO and that's not what made me play this game.
