  1. I'm sure credit farmers will create some form of Cartel Coins:Credits ratio to value how much money the credits are worth, and then undercut it to make some profit. You underestimate how determined they are to make money.
  2. It will always be more effective and far more easy to just sub for the game to unlock everything. a pro-longed F2P experience is only meant for someone who simply wished to focus on only one single aspect of the game (say only playing PvP matches or only raiding). The leveling experience is always a valid F2P choice that simply becomes far easier as a subscriber, or by purchasing many added features that would probably cost more then $15 in the end. Edit: more details for your specific questions: -When a current sub runs out, you will be placed on a preferred player status where any content you have will basically become locked and you get to pick specifically which ones you which ones you wish to use based on the Preferred player restrictions. Nothing will be lost but you will have to purchase unlocks for many of the features that become locked. More details can be found from searching for the Faqs located somewhere here: http://www.swtor.com/free
  3. All I ask is a chance to prove money can't make me happy.
  4. Lots of lists actually, all telling a different story depending on what someone is looking for. Heres one example that involves there own system of measuring active players:http://www.xfire.com/genre/mmo/massively_multiplayer_online/ Heres one example based on factual data:http://users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/Subs-2.png *Note* Swtor is not actually on this one because the last factual data showed it above 1 million active subs. Update:Found one for 1 million and above:http://users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/Subs-1.png
  5. Maybe because those who do want more Op's and FP's are still playing the game? If I've learned anything from the people who still post on MMORPG, it's that 80% of the player base hates the stuff they requested for simply because it wasn't "Implemented correctly"...
  6. It sounds very much like your just burning through the new content after every patch and then join the group that cries "the end is near" as population drops before the next big patch. This cycle has been around for nearly a decade now across all MMO's. It not like any of this is new or even different in any way. Every patch simply further progresses the game, the rate at which content is released will most likely not improve going forward so try not to get your hopes up if that's what you are looking for.
  7. idk, they hit the essentials pretty well. majority of requests over the past year that were hit: -More servers (oops) -Group finder -Guild features -Addons/UI costumizations -Combat logs/Damage meters -More Operations -More Warzones -Class balancing (especially with flaws between mirrored classes) -Server transfers/Merges -Character/companion customizations -Many bug fixes Things still missing: -player housing -Better space combat -More Operations -More story -More planets -Bug fixes (give me my damn codex entries!) -More world PvP -More WZ's -Pazaack
  8. Two things you seem to overlook: 1. Servers are still live and kicking 2. New content is still being released with hints of other stuff in the works (Makeb, SSSP, Ilum re-work) I'll lose hope if either 1 is no longer valid, or 2 fades away beyond what I wish to pay for.
  9. Find a group of 7 like minded individuals and queue up for a lot of ranked warzones... Be prepared to lose a bit as well.
  10. What if they gave you Candy Cane colored light sabers instead?
  11. This one is always up for debate, give a "On use" relic to a skilled player and they can make more use out of it then what can be achieved from the PvP relics. If the player is lazy and is not a big fan of planning how to effectively use the PvE relic, then the PvP one is a viable alternative that can be nearly as effective. Personal preference really.
  12. Wanting succes, Yes. How to achieve that success....No. There is also a few rare jems that feel that some other game is "better" and thus should have more subs. So they will bash this in hopes of becoming right down the road.
  13. Of course Cartel coins have value, it's converting that value into the virtual currency of credits that creates the illusion of worth on items. Anyways, we can go on to figure out the "value" of these rare items but they are only inflated in value because they are set to be rare. The true value of them is what the user makes of it. In the end you are receiving something of use within the game from the purchase you made. How much it's worth will be up for debate but since you are receiving something of value in the end then you can't really say you risked anything. You simply just choose to discard what you did get as worthless for whatever reason.
  14. Your negative, I view as a positive. I never have received a single gold farming post nor requests for help from anyone I don't know personally. As for group invites, if you whisper them then they can right click your name in chat.
  15. Mayonnaise, the Lechithin from the egg yolk along with the vinegar creates a protective barrier around you from force effects. Think of it as a reflective shield!
  16. 1-Tank 5-DPS 2-Tank 6-DPS 3-Healer 7-DPS 4-Healer 8-DPS I'm not sure if it's changed at some point but for the off chance that there is a marauder in the group. The Marauder bloodthirst buff only applies to it's party so by sticking all the DPS in the same group with it, you further maximize the DPS potential. Other then that... It's personal preference.
  17. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
  18. I also thought this was a stupid idea as well. But in the end, I'm putting the blame on any player who actually puts forth the money to buy these for use over the actual developers intent to put them in the game.
  19. They can't annoy you unless they pay $5 per account. Factoring that in, EA is actually making a profit based off your annoyance.
  20. Does /dnd (/donotdisturb) still prevent the timeout from occurring? I haven't used it in a while...
  21. The hilt has an item rating of 12, but it can only be used by those over level 11. It makes more sense when you hit 50. Both, a rank 59 and 63 modification can be used by a level 50 character but this number lets you know which one generally has more stats overall.
  22. Time for another "Weekly Fan Friday!" Update...
  23. You have to remember that generally speaking, there is a huge difference between a reliable rakata raid member, and a rakata PuG. It's very easy to clear TFB in Rakata with people you can depend on to do what is needed, but PuG's on average tend to be all over the place. To make up for this loss in comfort and reliability, the only option is to request for over geared players (who you can roughly assume knows whats going on since they already have the gear).
