  2. Perhaps don't make it for 2x4 man groups, but for 6v6 ? Easier to fill such a group and 6 ppl can be enouph to play in any map, w.o pugs.

Obi-win, pwny, abunchofaltswithsillynames is missed. But tbh excluding pwny the 'sin that has always been giving me a hard time is Gragole P.S.S. This thread was going well till I'gor came all friendly and nice and civilised and sportsmany and stuff.
  7. This thread is frustrating. In all honestly folks, the only area a Scoundrel/Operative should be considered Overpowered is the healing tree. Our "burst" is nothing compared to Focus/Rage spec, Carnage Spec, Assault/Pyrotech Specs. They hit for more and their damage is sustainable. Scrapper cannot sustain dps. As for the "hybrid" specs. Choosing sedatives and Slow release medpack requires 13 talent points in sawbones. This means you can spend 27 on scrapper tree. So, you ll either get KO (stun on opener) OR 2/3 Underdog (20% additional critical damage on some abilities). And then you ll have 0 on lethality. (Minus critical and blaster whip damage). I ll try it, but i feel it will be beyond bad. Bottomline. DPS Operatives/Scoundrels are not Overpowered in any way. If you get owned by them its because one or all of the following: (a) You don't know what to do against this class. (Yes, that was a polite way of saying you are bad) (b) You were severely undergeared compared to the guy who jumped you.
  8. This thread is a proper gem. After seeing this i honestly believe that the poor developers will never manage to satisfy the playerbase.
  9. Have to agree. The mentioned above move was, according to many, needed. Some people however cannot be satisfied it seems.
  10. As for the alacrity. You have UWM at 1.81 seconds by using the +3% alacrity skill in the dirty fighting treen, 2xWH menders implants and keeping your shotgun enhancement. Personaly, i find it more than enouph. As for tradings HPs for Healing. Those 3k hp mean nothing. I ll just mention takedown and vicious throw. And boosted assault vanguard dps on targets below 30%. Btw, you can actually trade crit for power. There is a 23 crit/50ish surge enhancement i don't recall the name of atm (and cba to search) you can swap for the power/surge enhancement. Doubt this is what that guy had in mind, but posting it for academical reasons

The armorings from belt/bracers and perhaps offhands (if they have armoring instead of barrel) HAVE NO SET BONUS => If placed to a PvE shell with a bonus (rakata and below) the PvE shell will keep giving the PvE set bonus. "Tier" Armor Armorings (Head/Chest/Gloves/Legs/Feet) indeed have the set bonus attached to them. Therefore placing one of those to a PvE Shell, will override the bonus of the Shell and grant the PvP set bonus.
  12. If i understand correctly, you as well consider this spec broken. I am glad My "issue" is with sorcs pointhing the finger to smashers, and vice versa both of them wanting to get away with their gamebreaking lolspecs. You 'll understand what i am talking about by checking out this very thread. It started as a bubble rant, which swinged by sorcs to a smash rant and so on. Both specs are broken, end of story. We cool?

  14. This coming from a guy who joins q as a solo DPS scoundrel more often than not nowadays. Not *THAT* OP right? Funny how my opener grants more resolve for less time stunned compared to your bubble. And its not like i can spam it to the whole enemy group.. Smashers/Sweepers have repeatedly admitted that the focus tree is broken, why can't the "frequently raging" sorc community admit that the bubble stun is gamebreaking?
  15. Every single such topic makes me want to get 3 smashers in my group and just stand there watching them faceroll tbh. Cause i 've tried explaining, but got bullied by the PUG Crusaders.
  16. Sorcs pointing the finger to another admittedly broken spec to hide their imbalance is sad. I do completely understand thats its the only viable spec you 've got, but that does not mean its not broken. And please spare us the excuse that it is used to control smashers. Some of the balancing ideas are good, however in general DPS is over the top, excluding the 3 ACs mentioned all over the PvP forums while the trauma debuff is rather out dated imho. I 'd rather they kept smash as it is and removed trauma debuff. Then i 'd be able to crit heal for 6.5-7k. BALANCE EVERYWHERE I AM TELLING YOU!

    Video 20: @1min: When they had you almost wiped at South. Could 've tried to go from middle to "their" side of the bunker and attempt to interupt their cap. Or (its visible on ur mini map) drop to west and help the guy who assaulted east. @1:50- 2mins: Should have used force speed to go to either west or east, instead of attacking south. You would have interrupted the "target" Deaths after your team get east: Meaningful plays, for some reason kept 3 ppl defending South. Could 've used lift to keep em busy for longer @3:30 Alternative play: Could 've used force in balance and then forcequake inside bunker. This would have prevented them from stealing ticks. @3:40 Good play sticking on that healer! @4:00 why let him?! kill that sob @5:50 Could 've positioned urself better. You were really close to an ally and vulnerable to any jumps. Would 've helped them interupt if anyone was capping inside. If covering team8s was ur goal, should have gone between bunker and enemy spawn. @7:15 Could have attacked east or go relief defender if he was a AC more suitable for solo capping (shadow) instead of walking in a 4v6 @9:00 Defender is good as dead. Start capping instead of hitting. Worst case he ll interrupt but you ll have 1-2 ticks stolen. Also, get adrenals and grenades Oh, and keep em comin
  18. Expertise: Seperated successfully PvE from PvP. It needs tweaking so it can get up-to-date. Other than that, its fine and working as intended. There is no such thing a gear grind now. You can get to full BiS WH in 2-3 weeks. And by the time you are done you ll have 4.2k ranked comms to spend, on something flashy. If bads were not always making new posts about old things, then some threads, real gems as far as gearing up goes, would not have been buried", but unless stickied, constructive posts get buried under "NERF SMASH/BUFF MERC" threads. As for tutorials in the game. Its not a bad idea, but really i cannot see how a pvp tutorial will help someone who has never played an MMO before. People should just start communicating ingame, asking good players for tips etc, if some1 proves to be a c**t, ignore him go to the next dude/girl. Eventually you ll get your questions answered.
  19. Mr. Hinkle, the vast majority of the pvp community that visits the forums feels dissapointed from the lack of replies from the PvP development team. Since you read the forums, would you be kind enouph to start replying to any constructive threads? Also, any chance we get more Warhammer online Scenarios in SW:TOR? Ancient Hypergates is a success and personally, i 'd love a version of the Battle for Praag scenario revamped for the Star Wars universe. Perhaps in a Corellia setting, since its an urban enviroment and it matches the story of the planet? Last but not least, the community needs a solid update on the future of ranked warzones/competitive play in general. Perhaps on the next "state of the game" article? Thanks in advance!
  20. Cool Idea. I wanna sell overprised "MK-6". Shoot first, he gets what he deserves. Also, (a) Add Outdoor pvp achievements titles, that go along with something cosmetic. Like: Kill 1.000 Miralian toons grants: TNMT Vanquisher title or something. (b) Add a PvP only faction on Ilum, since they adding reputation anyway. Each tier grants something, elitewarhero-ish. Like Mods/Enhancements/Color Crystals/Coolwtflooking weapons, and an expensive EWH piece as the last tier reward, to bring ppl to the orvr lake. They had both in WaR, cannot see why the just don't copy such amazing features.
  21. Sawbones VS Smash: Dodge is poped, you get leaped, you dodge the white damage it does and you don't get snared. You have the movement speed buff for the duration of dodge (high up the healin tree)= good chance to get out of range. Its situational and obviously lag dependant. But happens frequently. Also, concerning white damage. You can always get into cover and avoid all that damage w/o blowing any cooldown (plus cannot get jumped). For force/tech abilities there is the def screen. But a 5k force scream is something any scoundrel should be able to deal with tbh.
  22. A gap closer from stealth would need lots of caution imho. Thats mainly because you could "negate" a tech knockback by dispelling, vanishing then ur back on the enemies throat after 2 globals. But it definitely sounds cool! Imho sneak should be adjusted, perhaps by also giving stealth for a limited time, since lets face it, the burst and single target damage potential is there, but you lose too much w/o the opener. Obviously waiting in the middle of the fight to get out of combat and re-stealth to attack again does not work and is one of the main problems of the AC. Giving scrappers another white damage mitigator would make those who deal "white damage" for the most part rage and call the AC OP, since it already has 3 (+1 with enforcer 2piece bonus) second immunity anyway. I obviously agree with Hide on the sabotage charge comment. Now, an idea that i have not thoroughly thought, but i think i am on the right track, as far as tanks are concerned. There should be a buff to the vanguard ion cell spec, since it brings nothing to the table compared to guardians/shadows. It has been sub-par since launch, a problem overshadowed by the damage potential of the class. (Before you mention pull/stealth scan, Assault Spec got it as well.) Now, can SW:TOR PvP community start using this really well written thread to post any ideas/issues ? Its pointless to start a brand new thread about smash,bubbles etc etc etc. Mainly because you contribute to losing perfectly good threads like this one. Last but not least, next time you feel you need to create a thread about an issue, use the authors mentality when writting it.

  24. The only good thing about this thread is, it has somehow managed to stay on the first page of the PvP forum for so long, there are not so many posts concerning the same "issue". Other than that, so many proposal to fix that problem, BW would need to make another game in order to implement them. Anyway, Hajd, lets go stomp some pugs this noon?

    Premades and Pvp

    Let me get this straight. To begin with, i usually premade and when i don't, i tend to regret not doing so. However, the community is campaigning for the solo q to be separated from the "queue group option". Its understandable, since people do not enjoy getting chain stomped. But such an option does not exist and neither has been announced. So, if i were you, i 'd rather stop solo qing and find a pvp guild/premade than waiting for BW to fix a problem in the way I imagine would be optimal. To be honest, i strongly believe that PvP needs more options, when it comes to competitive play. There are plenty of ideas in this sub forum, all of which would give people who premade something more interesting to do.
