  1. this is not enough to stop a voip premade, its obvious when a premade is on an outside chat. Though it makes them run for their money sometimes to be organized which happens quite a bit in ToR pugs, voip is far too important to fight against a premade not to have.
  2. thanks for your very shallow post; it really means a lot.
  3. thanks for not understanding what it is to join a pug for the sake of enjoying a pug and going right to supporting the problem of premades
  4. I am getting sick and tired of being in warzones with a premade; on my server it's the same one every freakn time. At first it was cute because they sucked, but now they finally have it together and it is just hell. I don't even expect to win any matches anymore as I get focused and critted for 3-6k damage on almost every hit. Not to mention the largest problem about most premades is that they are on all the time, almost every hour of every day. I mean do these people even sleep? How does EA/Bioware expect to keep a general community who doesn't form groups, you know the casuals to hardcore that enjoy pug PvP? It is nice that you guys finally made gear so much easier to get but seriously, you are only fixing part of the problem. Sure you can say its the hardcore that are loyal and would pay to play this game's PvP, but I would beg to differ because PvP is fun in pug and there are a lot of people who play it pug. However, going against a premade hardly gives me any reason to continue to speak nicely about the pug PvP for this game. please EA/Bioware, if there is a group of more than 2, force them to ranked Warzone matches. The number is flexible, but I am really getting sick and tired of focus firing brigades rampaging pug PvP Q: Not enough people to force ranked PvP? A: Cross server PvP. Q: still not enough? A: well that's a shame, but maybe you shouldn't subjugate non-premades because of it. Q: you mad bro? A: ya, I mad. This thread isn't much for discussion, more that a thread to populate the forums about an issue.
  5. At high time, around 3pm and past midnight, the server, Begeren Colony, gets swamped with people. The population size isn't the problem, but the server is not up to par to support the amount of players. I have been disconnected or close to it as the server tries to support 150+ people especially on planets like Tython. Not only is PvE suffering but PvP is too, making it very difficult with the constant lag spikes having to constantly spam my skills to make sure they activate and the occasional 5 second pauses aren't helping either. Early mornings I have no issues, PvP works find and so does the PvE. My internet is not the problem either, other people in game are complaining about the lag issues. my speed test Please make the servers better to supporting the large amount of traffic. I have stopped playing PvP at night and even get turned off by the horrible lag in PvE because of this issue. I am subscribed right now, but quite frankly, if I can't play a smooth game in the mid-late hours (school starts and my schedule changes) I don't see much reason in even playing ToR let alone recommend it to people.
  6. I have both a level 50 vanguard and a 50 Commando. I have trouble trying to decide who I like more because they are great for damage, but do it differently. Vanguard does great mid - range to close combat. Very versatile class but relies on opportunity of the pulse cannon to really be effective. The pulse cannon shoots an coned lighting attack in front of the trooper doing elemental damage and if you can do it well, you will have 2 or more people in it getting the health decimated. Commando is for long range; think of the Commando as a mobile artillery unit. Great damage but its all channeling, so if you don't want to be in the fray but still want to make people cry after making almost half their life disappear before they realize it, Commando is the way to go. Problem is, if anyone who plays melee gets close, its very hard to get away let alone survive. Usually when I survive meleers it's because I stalled long enough with the skill I got for an allie to come and help me. Though it can be rough, playing a commando long enough and knowing when to plant yourself and unload, it can be a lot of fun and a tide turning roll. Edit: it seems we are at odds, I went commando for the gun. The PvP helmets look stupid.
