  1. Right.. So, ever since this game launched, it has been one outright plethora of glitches and bugs, many of them still unfixed. From players having to fix Bitraider on their own accord, to the recent decoration-glitch where a full restart is required. - We all know, that Electronic Arts are the main culprit with their horrible approach to paying customers, the game is dying, Bioware-employess stressed to push out new content, and a customerservice consisting of one offshore indian guy, who barely speaks engrish. Now, I am hesistant to throw this card, as I can simply chose to unsub and not pay anymore; However, I DO want to continue supporting this game, as I have from day 1! I DO want to keep playing this game, and I DO want to see it through. All the way, to the final flick of the switch. - And as a paying customer, as every single one of my fellow galactic comrades, the expectations to fix whats broken, is not a very tall order! Infact, its a very *********** basic request.. Alas, there are glitches and bugs in this game, that has been around for so long, that I dont doubt for a second, someone made a desicion not to give a flying ****! SWTOR is bleeding subs and has been for a very long time, and to be fair, its no wonder when very basic things simply dont function. The fact that we still struggle with the most crapcoded launcher ever designed in gaming history, new players are having to look up how to fix it, and a constant 50/50 chance you'll be redownloading the entire game after a major update.. I can only put it so simple; What the actual ****!? I personally dont see a solution. Why fix a car that will be put out of commision, as soon as people get tired of riding it? This is the type of coorporate logic that has been killing the game for years. Instead of investing in what you have, care for it and make sure it functions right, you ride it till it breaks, and you blame the passengers for being too fat. Bioware; we love you, you're giving us amazing stories, never change. You're in a deeply abusive relationship, and we all want you to get better, but its your struggle. Seek help, we're here for you. Electronic Arts; Pls go stand in stupid.
  2. Thank you for all of your replies, I was quite confused about the sub vs pref, and activity. - Its a very harsh lesson to soak up, and all i can hope, is that someone can use this thread before its too late. For me, its been a good amount of years and its time to cut loses. Ive always felt that Bioware did a stellar job on SWTOR, but EA was the major downfall that would eventually end the fun. I understand that some processes has to be automated, and in terms of guildmanagement, that its passed on. Fair enough. Alas, the complete absence of customer support and willingness to help players, doesent give me much reason to keep playing. - Again, thank you for your replies, thank you to the many people who ive played with over the years, and finally a huge thank you to Bioware for creating one of the best storydriven games of all times. May the force be with you all
  3. Whoa, so.. Its just seven years of working on my guild, down the drain. Ach well, guess its my que to toss the towel i guess
  4. So, long story short; I ****ed up. My sub ran out as i swapped creditcard, and leader got passed to an inactive member. I tried writing him several times, sending numerous mails and my contactinfo outside of the game. He logs back in now and then, refreshing the 30day timer, but doesent seem to respond to my mails. He has not taken anything from the guild, so I have a splinter of hope he is not malicious, and will pass leader back to me eventually. - Alas, I am completly hamstrung in terms of running my guild. - I wrote an ingame ticket the 7th of February, called customer support numerous times (cant help regarding ingame issues..), supposively there is a huge backlog of tickets, and absolutely no help to get. - I know it was my own fault, and I beat myself for it, but being unable to get assistance with issues, even those of your own making, is simply horrible. So what are my options? - Ive contacted the player with lead, awaiting him to reply. I have submitted numerous ingametickets, tried customer support by phone. To me, it seems ive done all that i possibly could to resolve my issue myself. Anyone with ideas? Thank you
  5. Actually we were ahead 2 to 0... Then stuff happened, and feelings were hurt.
  6. Edit: Case got cleared up, and explained as a bug. Everyone was hurt, pissed and sad. Hurtful things was said.
  7. *unzips breeches* - Alright, do me, do me!
  8. [TROOPER - New chapter!] Right, a few years later, the senate has dismantled Havoc-squad (people who has completed the Trooper-story, knows what this is about ) and brought the whole special ops to a deadstop! You have been dishonorary discharged, and moved to a maxsec prisonfacility spacestation (Bit like Maelstrom, but I am thinking a prisonversion of the capital-spacestations) - Shortly here after, you are being secretly released from your cell by a female SIS agent, that will later serve as your new companion. It being a republic prison, you avoid too much damage and quickly escapes to a shuttle taking you to Nar Shadda, where Garza (yes, I know you all hate her...) is waiting for you! This is just the initation, but I figured it could build from there!
  9. As the title says, lets have a little throw-around of ideas and inputs of how the story of our favorite classes should continue! If its a whole new story, or if it picks up from where it left, is up to each and everyone In order to not havoc-wreck anyone, please start your post with a BIIIG [Class], so people can skip it if they want (this is just so no one will get spoilered whilst still adding the ideas they got for the class they completed) Going first in the post below!

    Premades and Pvp

Thank you for completely missing my point - When I said "Random warzones for randoms", I mean that if you sign for a random warzone, you get into a "random" warzone. Im glad that you randomly replied to my random innovative post. Its fantasticly random of you... Premade/Groups fights premade/groups. Randoms fights randoms. Can I make it any *********** clearer for you?

    Premades and Pvp

So, this is not an attempt to troll or whine... Its simply a meagre attempt at trying to understand, what the f.... is going on... On the Ebon Hawk (US), we have a major issue with Republic losing nearly every single random warzone. There are a few breaks of light, but those are usually when - yes, you guessed it; when its random versus random. Other than that, Imperial groups are queuing up with a fully premade team (I think they are excluding 2, as they will be forced to team up as ranked) - I understand how awesome it would be, to win every single warzone because you march down the enemy team like it was nothing. - But this creates a very odd and dejecting feeling when pvping. It seems extremely unfair, and that those 4 warzones a day, just has to get overwith. I heard they also exclude Imperial players queuing up solo, because they are not enough Republic players to go around... And figures, since its 4 loses anyway. I used to enjoy pvp a lot, and scooted around Ilum for great world pvp. But the huge gap in gear and total imbalance when it comes to classes, has made pvp extremely painful and in no way fun. But I do get it... Get more gear = Problim solved! Losing every warzone though, does take its toll on you however, and the grind for gear is very... excruciating. It strikes me then... Why is random warzones not for randoms? Is it really fair that you can just assemble a team of 6 Elite Warhero guys, and troop through warzones like another /care? - And why not cross-server warzones to spice things up a little? Worked wonders with WoW tbh... I wont get into classimbalances here, as it will only ignite a flamefest; Instead I will say, that there are so many things that Bioware can do to improve pvp, so why not push them down the road with a little debate! I
  12. Major Tychos Kha reporting ready for imperial slaughter! - Enjoying it so far; Nice people, and the roleplay seems very vivid! Certainly worth a shot.
  13. Right, so with the new moods implemented, I as a RPer was quite pleased. But cruising around on the fleet, made me spot quite a number of animated and static poses... Why arent these accessible? Here is a little album of screenshots, of what I mean: http://imgur.com/a/Uj1lC Like; Who wouldnt want to be able to lean over a barcounter? Or stand at ease!? Or idle around with hands dug into your sides... Actual talk animations!; Everything in /s triggers a talk animation. /y triggers a yelling animation. Posing a question? How about an animation looking a little confused! - Feeling meditative!? - Animations are already in the game! But what about sitting and leaning over a barcounter!? - That would take so much reprogramming!: - Actually not. Chairs and couches can easily be "clickable" with a script, triggering an animation. Easy peasy! And same with barcounters! Click it, and lean over that thing like a scoundrel looking for trouble! (Or a drink...) Go with it Bioware! - Its not a lot of programming, and you already have the animations
  14. Lists are good! This atleast gives Bioware a chance to see the little things that could make RPers able to immerse.
  15. So a lot of threads and talks about SWTOR and failing goes around, and I simply do not agree. MMO's are fluent things, and things that constantly moves from one point to another. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. - SWTOR is young. VERY young. But in the time SWTOR has existed, it has put out more content than any other MMO ever created... I do believe its a sense of ungratefulness, despite the fact we are paying customers. Players will always hunger for more to be entertained, but if you look at how WoW has evolved, its not really for the better. Its a nearly 8yearold game, and levelcapped people STILL hunger for more! They continue to throw out expansions, that doesent really change anything, or brings something "new" to the players. In contrast, lets look at what SWTOR has; - A legacy system with amazing rewards to those who wants to see the grand stories created for other classes. - Personal ships, with a leveling bonus available to pull you out of the tedious questing, and do something fun and different. - Companions with moving stories and unique functions. - A crafting system that doesent force you to go out and farm your pants to shreds, and actually makes you able to earn currency whilst doing something else! These are amazing feats that no other game actually has. People just focus on the negative stuff, and as beautifully wrote on Reddit the other day, Bioware is not the ones failing. We are. The players; We focus on bad things, and things we cant be arsed to do, and moan about lack of content and bad gameplay. Theres a huge buffet, better than anything around - Sure, a few dishes lack because the kitchen is still young and learning, but we decide to ***** about those lacking dishes, instead of nomming on the fantastic plates that are. Roleplaying and why SWTOR excels: I have played World of Warcraft since the dawn of Azeroth, and I liked it. A lot. But the mere fact that Blizzard Entertainment havent for 7 years made a single approach to roleplayers, makes me feel sad. Its a minor but loyal part of their playerbase, and its a playerbase that will continue to play despite the content they put out. Bioware has understood this I think... I checked the new 1.4 mood changes, and I was simply stunned. Its such a small feat, yet so vital for roleplayers... Its those immensely small things that makes all the difference! - Bioware: Continue catering to Roleplayers, and I will promise you that you will have at least ONE paying customer. - Surely more will agree, and some will not. But truly that is where SWTOR excels right now. The legacy system is really grand, and caters to people to expand and craft their characters without feeling that "you are just leveling another alt". It has purpose. Currently the largest RP realm on the european servers (Argent Dawn), is a degenerate of trollers and people deliberately trying to downbring RP. That is because Blizzard has never enforced RP rules on the servers, and never really catered to RPers anyway. They give the children pokemons, and the children goes wild. The adults facepalms and goes down to buy a copy of The Old Republic. I moved here with a bunch of friends, because I was sick and tired of the RP and lack thereoff in World of Warcraft. - I know this sounds like a WoW-bashing, but really its simply holding it up against the alternative to SWTOR. - Bioware seems to have done a lot for RPers, PvEers and PvPers. But SWTOR is not and never will be the main pinnacle for hardcore ladder-pvp. Bioware: Continue catering to Roleplayers > That is where a loyal customerbase is, and where people will continue to renew subscriptions. Might be a small part of the playerbase, but what SWTOR has, no one else has. - Thank you. EDIT: What would make Roleplaying in SWTOR better and more immersive - Chat bubbles. Without them it is very hard to follow conversations in crowded areas. - Gigantic /say range. Highly unrealistic and contributes to massive spam storms in crowded areas. - Inability to sit in chairs. - No cross-faction whispers. - RP servers that are full of non- and even anti-roleplayers. Not really BW's fault, but they could do a little enforcement even if just to say they did. Let the RPbashing begin. Id love to hear how YOU dont RP, and frankly does not give a hobo's rump about roleplay and story.
