  1. I had to chew on the finale a bit. I liked the epilogue though. Especially confirming I almost didn't watch this series, but I couldn't help myself after TCW ended. It turned out better than I expected. Hopefully the next series is just as good or better.
  2. This gave me an idea for the next EA/SW Charlie Foxtrot: someone with better Photoshop skills than I should create an image of Vader choking out Admiral Ozzel, but with Mouse ears on Vader and EA on Ozzel with the caption "you have failed me for the last time." I can't imagine Disney would take kindly to more of these kerfuffles with one of their biggest IPs.
  3. I don't see why that should invalidate his, or anyone else's, opinion. I and many others were former SWG players, and while there are some things I would have preferred SWTOR mimic (space combat, more open PVP, crafting), I never expected this game to be the KOTOR expansion for SWG. In fact, having lived through the early days of the NGE mess, I hoped this game would be different and not make the same mistakes that were made with its predecessor. There are no words for how excited I was to see a KOTOR MMO was being made several years ago. Especially after SWG went to hell with the NGE. I followed the development on this game more than any other. This was my go-to after CoH died. I want SWTOR to succeed and will sub till the servers go dark, but, man, it's hard to have a positive outlook these days. Especially when you see how much better other games in the genre are doing, and I'm not talking about the heavy-hitters like WoW and ESO. I mean the ones that manage to quietly chug along without major press, like DCUO, BSGO, and STO. Here's to hoping someone at Disney or EAware comes along and sees the potential here and puts forth the effort to revive this game and make it into the game it should have been.
  4. Hell, just allowing me to use my Xbox controller for GSF would get me to play it more.
  5. Glad I'm not the only one who enjoyed that one. Top 3 novels for me would be: 3. Thrawn Trilogy - what else needs to be said. 2. Darth Bane: Path of Destruction - I like reading, but I can't think of another book I've read that sucked me in like this one. Didn't care for the other two in this series as much as this one. 1. Republic Commando: Hard Contact - I remember reading this on a family vacation when I was in highschool. I was a bit disappointed the game didn't include Delta Squad, and future RC novels just didn't measure up to this one but weren't terrible either. Haven't read enough of the comics to really comment.
  6. You have to figure this series takes place a good 20-30 years before he shows up in the Thrawn novels (or would have, if the old canon was maintained). There's more than enough time for him to become the master assassin we all know.
  7. I just could never get into the Defender; maybe it's the aesthetics. I'm an Interceptor fanboy. Even in Galaxies, I almost exclusively flew the Royal Guard Interceptor once I earned it.
  8. I was never a fan of the TIE Defender, but seeing it so much on Rebels recently has made me want to play the old TIE Fighter game. Actually, what I really want is a modern Star Wars flight sim in the vein of those old X-Wing/TIE Fighter games. I'm glad to see some of the old canon becoming infused in the new canon. I recently saw a Lego TIE-style fighter at Walmart that looked a lot like the Phantom TIE Fighter from Rebel Assault II.
  9. I don't even know. Mostly because I'd be afraid the company remaking the game would screw it up (*cough*Battlefront*cough). But if I had to pick, I'd say bring back the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games. Honorable mention to the Dark Forces series, Republic Commando and Galactic Battlegrounds. I wouldn't mind seeing KOTOR II end up as a mobile game either, like KOTOR I.
  10. This as well as Zayne Carrick, sith recluse, and Revan's armor (the original one).
  11. A massive overhaul in 2005 called the New Game Enhancements gutted it, but the game limped along until just before SWTOR launched. LucasArts was afraid of a conflict between this game and that one.
  12. It looks like they combined two lightsaber animations from KOTOR I to make the new Ravage animation. I agree with another post, it's pretty underwhelming compared to the brutality of the other Jugg animations. The Guardian version isn't too bad though.
  13. Wouldn't be surprised if SWTOR eventually goes that way. Seems that's just the direction MMO gaming is heading. STO will be on consoles soon, DCUO has done fine on the PS3 and 4, and is now on XB1. ESO, Neverwinter, and some would even count The Division, Destiny, Overwatch, Elite Dangerous, and others I've probably forgotten or haven't heard of. It wouldn't bother me at all if SWTOR did expand to consoles, but I'll likely stick to the PC version.
  14. Believe it or not, it was a lot worse pre-launch...
  15. The hilts were huge in the early game images, and people hated them so much BW actually scaled them down a bit. Who knows why they went back to the big ones.... Should've just waited for this to come out, cause I went an bought the Ziost Guardian's Unstable Saber when it was sold on the CM for that unstable effect.
  16. Thanks. I tried that and it was still giving me a headache so I just uninstalled Avast, and re-installed it. Now it's working.
  17. Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I recently bought a new PC. Installed Avast Anti-virus which I have on multiple devices and have used for a while. I also installed SWTOR. For some reason, Avast is blocking SWTOR so that it won't patch unless I turn off the firewall, which I REALLY don't want to do. Even if I turn off the firewall to patch, then turn it back on, it won't load the server list. Which leads me to believe that even if I fully loaded up to the game world, then turned the firewall on it'd boot me from the game. I've tried some solutions I found online, but they actually broke both Avast and SWTOR and I've had to re-install both. Does anyone have any ideas on getting these two to get along? I have SWTOR and Avast on another system, and I've never had a problem on that system.
  18. Well, that sucks. Thank you, though.
  19. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, not sure if it's a bug or what, and admittedly I've been away for a while. So I bought a the 208 saber from the vendor in the force enclave on Odessen with glowing data crystals. I wasn't paying attention, so I didn't notice the "offhand" part of the item's name. "No problem", I thought, "I'll just move the mods over to my main saber." I do that, and now I'm getting an "Invalid Slot" error and it won't let me equip my lightsaber. Is this working as intended or should I submit a bug report? Edit, here's a screenshot:http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z297/MetalRacer78/SWTOR/Screenshot_2015-12-21_13_10_36_710845_zpsh4jjf1ip.jpg
  20. Honestly, at this point, cause it's the only decent, modern Star Wars game out there right now. That sounds bad, and that's not to say I dislike the game; I've been subbed since Day 1 so I find some value in it. I just don't have an undying love for it like I have previous games, so there's room for something "better" to come along and grab my attention. Of course it's always possible TOR itself could get "better" and I could find the same level of enjoyment for it as I had for previous games. Why does this post sound like I'm talking about a woman....?
  21. "Your device isn't compatible with this version." Go figure... Using a 2014 Galaxy Note 10.1, btw.
  22. This. I tried it for a couple of weeks, but between the crappy controls (seriously...mouse and keyboard only...?) and lack of deapth compared to what was envisioned of the "Super Secret Space Project" made sure I never looked at it again. At this point, it's probably #1 on my list of wasted dev time and resources. Strongholds only beats it because it lets me fast-travel to my ship without having to wait for fast-travel device cooldowns. I don't think we need a full SWG-esque flight sim, nor does it need to be like most of the ground content and need some big overarching story. Something, as another player mentioned, like Battlefront II; which probably wouldn't mean major changes to the existing GSF system (as compared to turning it into a full flight sim). Throw in a few group-based missions like space Heroics and that should make the PvE crowd pretty happy (IF Bioware doesn't half-*** it). Controller support would be nice too, but I know Santa has other kids to get to. I've seen a few people post this. Why? Not being snarky, I'm genuinely curious. I have no interest in ground PvP, but that doesn't make me want to stop playing SWTOR (or any other MMO). And it seems that's how most people operate, otherwise there would probably be a lot fewer MMOs around. Why would the addition of a PvE component to GSF cause existing players to quit playing in GSF-PvP? Space PvE and PvP coexist well enough in STO, and to some small degree in EVE. Why not here?
