  1. Win trading is nothing new so going to go with no. Have fun farming.
  2. And some of us just want mats, so tell you what I'll get my friends together and we'll field our team of two operative healers and two sin tanks and we can play hide and go seek. Which do you prefer, people there to get mats, or people there purposefully to waste your time just to laugh at your frustration and nerd rage? Now imagine armies of people like my friends and I doing this just because we know that you and yours are out there freaking out. Way I see it, and many who are in here see it, just relax have fun with the free elo and it'll all level out eventually. Or keep crying and the army of shadows will rise just to waste your time and laugh at your tears. Also, I have an idea, how about pvpers having to repair their gear just like pvers do wouldn't that be fair?
  3. I have an idea to fix the plasma probe issue, make the Jugg and Guardian saber reflect reflect aoe. I think it's kinda rough that every class has a reflect but this would be awesome.
  4. I guess my biggest issue is that I see the guardian as more of an acrobatic and defensive fighter whereas I see my juggernaut as a more brutal fighter. I see the juggernaut as more of the menacing force that is able to walk through a battle using overwhelming force instead of finesse to destroy his/her enemies. So the limp-wristed way the the first two strikes hit then there is a moment of pause before the juggernaut does the front flip. It looks clumsy and removes the overwhelming force feel to the class. The rotation feels the same as before with just a little less time between button pushes but overall is the same to me. The loss of the brutality and fluidity of the original ravage, whereas the fluid motion of the guardian feels the same as the original mater strike / blade dance. I'll get used to it but for now it just sucks.
  5. So in 5.0 the are changing ravage into the Guardian's overhead slash with an extra strike. Honestly, I'd rather see an Aegis Assault type of movement or a furious strike. Between this and the rng gearing I'm not sure I'm feeling like playing the game anymore.
  6. You're right and I apologize. After getting over my tantrum I did go reread everything a little closer and I believe that when I saw that the gear I need was going to be locked behind the dreaded RNG the first time I momentarily lost my senses and stopped seeing the rest of the post just went full ID10T on the whole thing. I believe I began having flashbacks of lottery packs past and thinking that it would take months to get what I really wanted/needed instead of being able to get the exact item that I had spent my time and effort trying to get the same way I've dropped real money for nothing on the lottery packs that I stopped buying a long time ago for that specific reason. As far as casuals, again while only seeing red it just felt like another slap in the face as I've run into people that tell me they hate this game could get to the same level I have without having to go through all the time effort and money I had put in. That's where the ranking example came from, I was attempting to make the feeling I was having relatable. Just hope I don't end up with 300 belts when all I need is a helmet or chest just to get my full set bonus.
  7. I hadn't seen the announcement about the gear being moddable only that it would be in the random boxes. So if I'm wrong there then I retract my statement. How? If they are in the WZ are they not getting the CXP how will that be different than if they use the pass, I haven't seen anything on that either. Not to mention with the way things tend to get messed up will this mean that F2P will get no CXP. Then what? Oh yeah the forums explode with F2P and Preferred freaking out. Oh and if you think they can't post here you're wrong. Easier and faster to do what your dailies? Then put in the money and the time, if not take extra time running your dailies. For the pvp part people generally want to get to the top of the group fast, you get more CXP for ops than you do WZs so where do you think they will go? Also with the rate that the ranked que drops as the season goes on most aren't going to get the CXP so where else will they go? Not really like I said I ran the DK dailies on my 65 and 25 Jugg I forgot to mention my 65 Jugg was running naked except for his weapon. Try it you'll see. This is just an illustration as to how someone that doesn't do the work or put in the money that I do can get the same things I can without offering the same input. Also, I don't like that I now have to hope I get the gear I need instead of being able to get the piece and move on instead I have to play the cartel boxes essentially only to get something I don't need and then try again next time. Plus as far as alts go, I use my main tank to also gear my alts. I don't run daily areas on my tank because as you pointed out earlier it takes to long so now I'm penalized because I use my tank to get what I need for my other toons as well, but that's over now. Bud, I do hope you're right about some of these things, however I've been burned too many times.
  8. I realize many of these things have been said however I'd like to voice my concerns: First: From the things I've read it sounds like gear is no longer going to have mods at top level and going to be just like the heroics where you get full set pieces. This would seem odd if we didn't have the costume gear but this is the only way I can figure that the devs can control people from building a skank tank as you can run in tank form with tank armorings but still be modded for dps. I could be wrong but I think they have been conditioning us to remove the gear so you can buy mods for old shells but to have the set bonus you will have to run the rng set pieces. Second, with all the passes now bound to legacy what are you going to do about the ability for people to go around the warzone for F2P if they que with a sub they don't need the pass they just get in? If you're not aware of this then you're dumb because it's been going on since F2P was introduced. Third, this has been said before but why do solo players that just run story then quit have the need for nightmare level gear? Also, with the way things are set up the devs are forcing pvp'ers to have to run operations to gear faster so they are being forced to play a game they don't want. Do you not remember how many people were upset when they had to run a few pvp matches just to get a companion or an achievement for the DvL event? Fourth, for those saying the they didn't like the implementation of level sync, but are OK with it now, you forget that even though you are level synced you don't lose your abilities so you are still more powerful and my nightmare level jugg will still walk through content my level 25 jugg will struggle through. I tested it. Finally, for those that are happy with the new gear change, I don't agree that people that don't do the work should get the same gear. So I'm curious, will the next ranked season mean that we all get the same ranking as long as we participate? Everyone gets a trophy right? If I show up I should get the same rank as the person that puts in 8 hours of ranked games a day.
  9. I want my Jugg/Guardian to be more lightsaber based. I think vengeful slam / vigilant thrust looks cool, but it reminds me of just being a smash monkey all over again. I don't want to be a caster, I would make a sorc or merc for that, I want people to tremble when they see us and I want my Jugg/Guard to be the black knight / samurai type of fighter. I would have preferred for furious strike to be in the vengence spec, impale should hit hard since you are delivering a killing blow. I realize that pvp balance is difficult yet I want my Jugg to be feared like Malgus and Vader were. In the arena the Jugg/Guards are left for last because we are seen as not being a threat. It's funny how the survival/damage trade off doesn't happen since my Jugg has less survival than my Mara yet I don't hit near as hard. I understand all the mobility issues and with 4.0 coming I think it's going to get worse before it gets better in that aspect so I want our abilities to hit harder. We aren't able to kite and burst like a PT or vanish out and start the fight all over like sin, so I want the trade off of being that when I"m slowed yet walking towards a target that target is dropping everything they can on me because when I get close just one attack from me will bring them to their knees.
  10. I agree, talk about repetitive. But from your video it was the best representation I could think of to give people a basic idea of what you were describing. I like the idea and would love to see it implemented as this is what I thought the strongholds and guild ships were going to be. Unfortunately conquest is not what I thought is was going to be.
  11. Here's my two cents on the deal. First the elitist PVP'er doesn't just live at level 60, in fact they can be found at all levels and for those coming into the game new it is difficult to find your place as well as those that are willing to teach. You will find a lot that are resistant to any advice, but did you ever stop to wonder why? Could it be because of all the trolls along the way in the WZs? Perhaps it's all the hate that is all over the forums and gen chat for anyone that isn't l33t? After being beaten over the head with labels like "noob" or "badz" and constantly told it's their fault that the team loses because of their gear or lack of knowledge, are any of you really surprised at the fact that people just quit or troll? I do know that there are those out there that are trying to help Domi and Icykill are a couple however I believe their words get lost as the trolls and haters bombard every thread. For example look at this http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=796269 People speak of how the community is dying and so toxic, well it only gets that way when the majority allow the vocal minority to speak for them. And it is easy to jump on the bandwagon of looking down on the new players, however ask yourself what you've done to make the game/community better and then you'll see if you are part of the solution or part of the problem. Currently I have five level 60s a vanguard (shieldtech), juggernaut (immortal / vengeance), guardian (vigilance), shadow (infiltration), and commando (gunnery). Recently a friend and I decided to level new toons so I made a rage jugg and have leveled him in both pve and pvp because honestly doing just one or the other gets boring. I have been ripped on by a lot of the l33t at every level, even some in my current guild, however I've stuck with it. Currently I am level 54 the funny part is that on the spec that people berate me for I am generally in the top of the score board at the end for damage and protection. So judging based on appearance versus action may not be the best thing. Also a little encouragement tends to go a lot father than a lot of sarcasm and negativity.
  12. I've been playing this game since early access and it seems that lately the amount of hate for those playing the same class is getting worse. I'm an old vengeance/vigilance and immortal player, I played rage/focus for a bit but always preferred vengeance/vigilance when doing dps. I remember after 2.0 when the Jugg/Guardian ACs were getting bashed on by the shadow/sin crew that was screaming for our tanking to be nerfed, the Jugg/Guardian community stuck up for one another and helped each other. Lately though it seems that the Jugg/Guardian community has become nothing but a bunch of QQers screaming for nerf and slapping each other in the face with their epeens. Does this bother anyone else?
  13. You know there is an option to turn off the name plates right? Also if you want to RP a flashpoint or operation make sure you go with those that want to do it as well. The funny part is that just as in life you will always find those that don't follow the rules you set for yourself. So you either brush it off and don't pay them any attention, or you drive yourself crazy trying to control the masses. Basically the more you let them affect your life the more they win. The choice is yours.
  14. The reason that the US Military doesn't work on America's infrastructure is due to the Posse Comitatus Act. Here's the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posse_Comitatus_Act "The Posse Comitatus Act is the United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) that was passed on June 18, 1878, after the end of Reconstruction and was updated in 1981. Its intent (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) was to limit the powers of Federal government in using federal military personnel to enforce the State laws." So in essence it's to keep congress from becoming a group of dictators and using the might of the US Military against the citizens of the US. Which also means that the military isn't allowed to build homes or infrastructure because there are to many out there that would see this as an act of insurrection. As far as the holier than thou comment goes, it seems that it's your personal insecurity and envy of those who wear the uniform that is the root of this problem. There could a lot of different reasons for that and you may want to talk to an objective third party about it. Now to the IQ comment, to that all I have to say is you should read what you've written and you'll see the reason they lowered the standards is because without doing so people like you couldn't get in. The reason why is because until 2006 you couldn't get in unless you had a high school diploma and a GED doesn't count as a high school diploma. Funny how when you use statistics, but don't use all the facts you can spin anything to sound the way you want it to. I read the article you linked (you have to copy and paste it out because the hyperlink doesn't work) and what's funny is that the same talking points were said on an episode of Family Guy, so I'm just going to take it with a grain of salt and laugh at you for using this as your reliable source. In the end of this you are apart of a group that likes to sit back pointing their fingers and making noise at the men an women who stand up and make a difference. But never forget that it is they who are doing the job so you can harass them, so once again you are welcome for the rights and freedoms you take for granted because people like myself made sure you could.
