  1. Emulate my ***...its perverse...and stupid beyond all reason. Things like Discord Streaming break on it..windows gets really funny funny at times with it. Hard or not - it would redeem this game greatly if they just "do it" An entire patch dedicated to QoL/Code Overhaul would do this game a great deal of help - I suspect people would be most forgiving for "lack of content" in that regard.
  2. You have one fatal flaw in your thinking. You can unite up all you want - but only thing they are going to listen too is the thing they call money. Not your opinion or your ideas. They can selectively ignore that as they see fit. Now if they had quality and care - they'd be engaging and communicating with us. But they really aren't. Not as far as I'm concerned. Frankly I'd unsub if it wheren't for the good story and decent community thus far. Ironically enough this game has better odds on launching 7.0 than it does FFXIV's Endwalker - on server infrastructure alone. (I suspect they will have a VERY rough first week.... DDOS city....no one getting in...queues 100 miles long...thank you oh so much WoW crowd for that one) Ok...not that much better. Point remains - united front won't do much....unless you back it with money.
  3. Here's a better idea....tell your friend(s) or "other players" to stop acting like a(n) idiot and they'll not have that problem in PVP. Problem solved. People will be less inclined to ignore at that point. The feature is working as intended.
  4. One can only hope they get with the times.
  5. You're overthinking this. Just do it..and get on with your life...or don't....its on you to make that call. Don't break something that isn't broken.
  6. First : You can't - whether it be a player without a legacy or with one - its all/everything. Second: Why would you ignore a char but not the entire legacy in the first place? The Ignore feature is obviously designed to silence an offender - the legacy feature prevents them from making a new char for the expressed purpose of bypassing said feature. What your asking for - is very contradictory to say the least.
  7. Did it occur to you that the reason you see things at the prices on the market is because people are in-fact buying said items for that price? You're not thinking this through....spend a little less time being emotional and a little more time being rational. The GTN is a player driven market...that means it takes two people to participate - a buyer...and a seller. So long as there are "fools" who buy things at insane prices - they will always be people who put them up for sale. Its a simple supply vs demand. What you should be asking is how to drive prices down - not ####ing about people who have billions in credits and sell said items at prices you obviously cannot afford. This is a thing in all games with a player driven market...you think its bad here? This is nothing. Try EVE Online....you won't have any room to complain there. And they have a vastly superior interface that makes this game look like stone age...and its just every bit as ugly there. (Granted the inflation isn't insane - but you'd be surprised what major player communities do to cause market hell - just like in real life - people have written research papers on it) Not saying I don't agree with your sentiments in this being stupid.....but your not thinking about this very rationally. The best solution is to remove the demand all together....at that point - sellers can't make monies and will be forced to lower their prices. No demand - No riches to be made. Also your a fool if you think its a small number of people....its much more than you give it credit for. (Pun not intended)

  9. I stand corrected then - was under the impression you get CC's per char per month or something to that effect. Even then - they obviously had a reason to do this (albeit harsh) limit. Some sort of inferred abuse/exploit that is being curbed by this. Why else do it? Gating seems too easy an excuse. But if that's all they are saying - well then yeah - that's stupid. Can't say I'm eager to defend those who abuse the hell out of the system - tends to lead to "why we can't have nice things" syndrome. Subject to correction - and I'd only listen to Trixxie at this point as Trix is the only one making sense here.
  10. Not that flawed - the Cartel Coin income alone makes me raise an eyebrow considering the amount they get - IF they are subscribed. Even then - the whole thing is a moot point in terms of them complaining overall regardless. I do agree however the 3 alt limitation seems very very harsh. Hence my earlier statement of increasing that to say 8 alts. Even 10 if you want a nice round number.
  11. 1: Check your payment history on the payment options side (IE: credit card billing history) - confirm the payment went through. If it didn't...you need to contact customer service. 2: If it did in-fact go through - screenshot it and move along - you have nothing to worry about. Pretty straight forward. Odds are the system is going to try hitting your card again if it failed - maybe a 3 try type routine - so if it failed you should make sure you have sufficient funds and your info is correct..otherwise you'll end up suspended due to lack of payment or however that works. Prob should email customer service as the ticketing system is garbage...but that's just me. Billing will likely be prioritized cause "money" - so should be a short wait.
  12. The reason they are limiting it is likely to curb inflation - seem to recall seeing something along those lines.
  13. Funny how the issue I pointed too is conveniently overlooked. But ok..sure.
  14. Call me crazy...but aren't we ignoring the jawa in the room? 20 alts - seems a bit excessive isn't? Maybe this guy is farming goods for the market? Inflation cause? If he's subbed - that's a lot of CC's isn't? Frankly anyone with that kind of dedication has a bigger problem than "time invested". Sure...you can do what you want - but there's a fine line between rational and insane. Whatever excuse you can come up with...justified or not.....I don't have a problem with this. I think however they should limit it to 8 - enough to cover the obvious number of alts your going to have for full legacy. But that's just my 2 cents - and I couldn't' care less what the OP thinks in response because he made it rather clear that there's no rhyme or reason to his arguments. *regrets not throwing a can of fuel into the fire*
  15. "I"M NOT FAT - I'M BIG BONED" - Cartman I have to say - this game is the first I've encountered where you can choose.......how should I say.... "larger girthed" or "larger mass - not necessarily fat" Body types whereas the species is bigger than most by default. It's made me cringe rather hard when people have these discussions.
  16. As someone said before - the system is working as intended. I for once would not shy away from pointing out how utterly stupid this game is being 32 bit - and how its set up to function with some weird dual process. But the "leaver penalty" you are complaining about is likely you and not the game. From what I've heard around the "cantina" is people frequently join/ditch due to unsatisfied groupings. I'm all for QoL improvements - but this one is quite literally at the bottom of my list. I'd be more inclined to ask for an improvement on their INFRASTRUCTURE to improve server connectivity. Leave the penalty system alone.
  17. Try Emailing support....maybe you'll get further along. The system really is garbage honestly. Even when the community folk here reached out - still no feedback no response no nothing. It feels just so baddly half assed. and In my case I was trying to educate myself and my guild on recruiting on newbie worlds....you'd think they be inclined to further "enforce" their policies to prevent more work right? Guess not.
  18. Sounds like your the victim of extremely poor customer service. Whats the issue? Careful - no name and shaming - etc.
  19. Could have fooled me....this game is in desperate need of QoL and major major code overhaul. 32 Bit game in an age of 64bit or nothing. Numerous missing niceties that are common place in any other game around. Numerous obvious bugs being ignored. Did I mention customer service as well? yeah that too. Not convincing me much - new I may be - but the crowd is not happy here. And your wrong to presume its all solo players complaining - may want to recheck that. You may have a case for PvP - but in truth - I don't see much driving force for that. If anything this makes them snarl all the more.
  20. Are you one of those people who thinks "You're Wrong" is "not constructive"? Because that's what I've seen thus far....people saying "you're wrong to do this" Lets leave the political correctness baggage where it belongs....in the dumpster. The truth hurts....but at least they get the respect of facts and not "lipstick on a pig" This isn't moaning.....its a cry for help. And before you ask - I've done customer service work on both sides - I'd love nothing more to have the guy who said "The customer is always right" shot in the you know what repeatedly. But this is not that case. This situation is a major exception. I won't deny some features are nice - but they are vastly overshadowed by the negative feedback.
  21. Loud Minority or not - the sentiment is matched word for word with my guild-mates who do not post on these forums and on-wards and forwards from there. Dismissing the fact there's an obvious problem based on the forum "minority" won't work here. Pretty sure your going to find similar sentiments in reddit...and other areas of the net concerning this subject matter.
  22. Please think before you speak.....your not going to win much in the way of respect when you make these kinds of statements.
  23. Pretty sure they didn't do an update (fresh install) - they pretty much felt that since they got it to run on their laptop there was no more question about it being compatible and wanted the thread closed.
  24. Be prepared to face the fact that Windows 11 is the source of your trouble and nothing beyond that point. There's been little to no confirmation about people running this rather perverse 32 bit addled game successfully on Windows 11 (I know of 1 - and they didn't really share much in terms of what they had to do to get it to run) If you do manage to figure it out - be sure to document what you did and how - because there will be others. Id suggest compatibility mode to Windows 10 at a bare minimum - running as admin - make sure windows defender/firewall are SHUT OFF and put in their place. Bring things back up slowly but surely. Your in for a massive fight I suspect. PS: the missing files are moot - the launchers first task is to update/install the rest of the game - your just messing with the "seed" or "start up" portion. PS2: Id try running the game without steam - by itself - Steam tends to complicate things...then tie it back in for your sub. (you really don't need steam unless that's how your paying for the sub)
  25. Data is "BS" because its incredibly subjective. As I said before - if the dev's bothered to play the game as much as an atypical semi-casual player would - they would have a very different perspective - if not greatly enhanced.
